I have few regrets in life, but choosing Vivid Service Group is one of them. We have a small back yard that we had a very hard time keeping grass growing due to shading. We decided to just put down artificial turf. We worked with a couple of groups, Vivid being one of them. Josh came out and was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. We got a quote pretty quickly and he came in a bit lower than the others, so we chose Vivid. Once an install date was schedule, that part went okay. There was a bit of a gap in between prep work and the turf install, but it wasn't a big deal. But then came the install and post install support. After they finished and left, we found a spot on the turf later in the day that had scorched/burned. I called Josh immediately and he said they would come take a look. In the meantime, I looked online and found numerous articles about newer windows with the Low-E gas inside reflecting and burning turf. When Josh came out, I mentioned that and he stated they had never seen that happen. He said he'd get in touch with the turf manufacturer. A couple of days later, he called and said the turf manufacturer would not warranty the turf and if I wanted it replaced, I would have to pay. That infuriated me since it was no fault of my own and nobody warned me this could happen. They are the """"pros"""", so they should know. Well, I wanted it fixed so I agreed that once I found a way to keep the windows from damaging more, we'd pay to fix it. I bought a solution online and got my windows screened. This was mid-July. I contacted Josh on July 23rd to schedule a time for the turf to be replaced. It is now November 4th and I have not seen them at all. I call/text almost weekly just to be told """"We're busy, but we haven't forgotten you."""" It should not take 3+ months, period. I've tried being patient, I've tried being nice. I just wish I'd looked at some of the previous Yelp reviews about their service. I certainly would have made a different choice and if you're considering Vivid for ANY work, I suggest you choose better than I did. I'd hate for anyone else to have to deal with horrible customer service like this. Bad enough to tell me I have to pay for that damage, but then to just keep ignoring me and stalling. Run away from Vivid.... run fast, run far!!! You'll be thankful you did.

Received a quote today which was way over priced considering the time spent with me discussing my needs/desires. Didn't draw up any plans or take measurements. Based on the outlandish quote and time spent less than 15 minutes, it's a no go for me. Besides their reviews reflect their service.

We decided to use Vivid landscape for our front yard makeover, we needed a new flagstone sidewalk put in and had some drainage issues addressed along with needing to update our flower beds. We were also looking at redoing our backyard as well but decided to cut the project into a couple of pieces before handing one company the entire job, so glad we did! We talked to several companies and went with Vivid based on the owner and reviews we saw on FB. What a mistake! The owner is a great sales guy but doesn't stand behind his team or work. The craftsmanship of the hardscapes they did was shoddy, and I had to argue with his team about how we needed our drainage areas addressed. They agreed to come back to finish a small section of the sidewalk that was supposed to be level with the driveway but they never showed. We are having to get our lawyers involved, such a hassle for a simple sidewalk! All of the plants were put in the wrong place and so I had to redo them myself, and some of the plants were not even the kind we agreed on. Now, 3 months later, the largest of the bushes are dying. If they had bothered to consult us during the process and ask when there was an issue vs just doing whatever they felt best we could have avoided a lot of the issues. They were unable to get matching river rock for our dry bed and instead of telling us they just put in a cheap rock that didn't match and made and excuse that they couldn't find what we needed anywhere. I walked into a local hardware store and found the rock with no issue and have been slowly replacing it. Overall it was probably the worst experience with a contractor of any kind. The """"on site"""" manager was never around to oversee what the workers were doing, lots of standing around and waiting for direction. Miscommunication on all areas of the job. We definitely won't be using them to do our backyard or for anything ever again. Such a disappointment, we were truly excited about working with them when we hired them.

The third and final no show. Must be the water in Lithonia. But I did get a keeper from Atlantic Landscape.

We decided to go with Vivid after Josh came to our house and had good ideas how to handle our eroding back yard. Their price was competitive and Josh seemed knowledgeable. They were hired to bring in 3 truckloads of dirt, grade it, and seed it. It looked great from afar when the work was completed, but we couldn't walk on it for 3 weeks while the seed was growing. When we went to mow it the first time, we discovered that the straw had been laid so thick (5"""" at least) in large areas and the grass did not/could not grow. We also discovered that they did not do a very thorough job of grading and compacting the dirt next to the a large tree that is on the side of the yard. We are sinking into dirt as we walk through it. The yard is not smooth and is quite bumpy. We are left with a lot of dirt, a little grass, and a lumpy """"yard"""" that our kids won't be able to run through safely. I contacted them and asked them to remediate the problem ASAP as our window of opportunity for seeding was closing. They did come out and look at the yard and agreed to fix it. But, they never came to do the work. I received a text daily saying that they were busy and would come by the next day, only to receive the same text the next day. After a week of being pushed aside, cold weather was approaching so we fixed as best we could ourselves. We feel like we could have done a better job of prepping the soil and seeding ourselves and probably will have to redo it in the spring. There didn't seem to be any quality control with this company.

There are so many landscaping companies in McDonough. . . Do yourself a favor and go with another one. I started service with Vivid last year. It was pretty good at first. This year, after having them service my home for 4 months, my yard continues to look like a mess. I reached out to them, gave them a list of everything that wasn't being done and they came back to me with nothing but sass. Finally, one of my neighbors came over to tell me that I should really try to find someone to take care of my yard for me. Imagine her surprise when I told her that Vivid was the professional company the managed my Lawncare. It's safe to say that I have now found a much better service.

This company is completely unreliable.. I have on going problems with them regarding service and billing..save yourself a headache, find a reputable company..no one wants to take ownership of their mistakes..
