Recommended Customer Reviews
Brandon Bazilio is a highly skilled professional technician. He is knowledgeable in providing excellent HAVAC maintenance and service to the Washington, DC, area.
Cindy F.Took a few days to arrive however, there were Insurance logistics. (Leak from above unit)
At least they didn't bang up my door as Michael &Son.
All 3 gentleman did a good job (it took 3 men with a 50 gal tank!) !
After 6 days I finally have hot water!
Mike S.TLDR: took four visits to complete a tub repair job due to poor communication and lack of skills from the tech, then they increased the price without warning.
I called Vito to repair a bathtub with a leak. When they came they told me the faucet needed to be replaced. I asked for guidance about which one to purchase and the tech told me it didn't matter, any one would work. Before I purchased it I emailed them to confirm it was the right part (as the tech told me to do) but received no response after multiple attempts so I purchased it and scheduled a new appointment. Tech came and told me while I had the faucet now, I did not have the valve that goes underneath and that was also required. Ordered the valve, scheduled the tech to come again and this time was told the faucet does not fit (despite him assuring me any one would work). When I asked what to do the tech had no solutions for me. I had to call and speak with a manager who told me they could slightly increase the size of the holes by drilling, which the tech had said he could not do. For the fourth visit, the manager came with the tech to supervise the drilling, but when he arrived he told me the price suddenly had gone up 50% because the job was more complicated. I asked why, since he knew about the added complications before arriving, wasn't I warned about the price increase before they came. He did not have an answer for me but refused to budge on the cost. At that point I was so frustrated and just wanted the tub fixed so I said yes, but I will definitely never use them again.
Abe K.Another resident in the building referred me to Home Air Services, which I learned merged with Vito Services. That could explain why they are incredibly disorganized but with capable technicians. I must've spoken with 4-5 different people to talk about the various issues throughout the job. Their motto should be ""Leave it to someone else.""
The good: A/C was installed, eventually. The technicians on the job (Jeffrey and Tanis) and the supervisor (Shango) worked hard from what I can tell. It wasn't an easy task, installing the air handler in a tight ceiling space but they got it done over 3 days, which was incredibly inconvenient (and costly) for me as I had to shift my schedule quite a bit.
The bad: Why did it take 3 days? On the first day, they brought an air handler too big for the space. Not sure who's at fault here, whether it's the initial technician who inspected the space to provide a quote or Chris Davidson who put together the proposal and did most of the communicating. Vito might want to find someone else to do his job (See ""The ugly"").
The ugly: Customer service. Chris told me that I had to coordinate with my building management to shut off the water and so I did. On that first day of work, Shango said I did not need to do that, so I had to pay for a service that wasn't necessary.
During the job, the technicians accidentally broke a wall light fixture. No follow-up yet. There was also some debris (bent up frames and drywall pieces) left in the wash closet, which the technician came back another day to clean up.
So with all these inconveniences, I had asked for a discount, initially speaking with Manny and maybe he should work in customer service because he was very understanding saying that I had good reason to be frustrated. Next thing I know, I get a call from Chris, absolutely livid, asking ""Why are you talking to Manny? He can't even do anything for you. Why the hell would we give you a discount? If anything, you should be paying us $1500 more for the extra days of labor"" as if it was MY fault that they couldn't complete the job the first day. I was so shocked that someone like him would be working directly with clientele.
Lastly and this isn't so much a criticism but a suggestion: as part of their work, they remove some drywall surrounding the opening to the air handler and they do clearly say the customer will have to replace the drywall after their work is complete which is fine. It would be helpful though to inform future clients that due to the open ceiling, the air handler will sweat substantially. The condensation dripping was so bad I thought there was a leak and had Jeffrey come back, which was when he cleared out the rest of the debris.
By now, if you still choose to go with Vito, I've got one tip: don't send checks to their office. Chris did not know I had paid for the first third of the bill because the billing office applied my payment elsewhere. Instead, there is a link attached to the invoice where you can pay online.
I recently had a new furnace A/C unit and water heater installed in my Rockville Maryland home by Vito Services. The following is a list of the reasons why I would never recommend this company.
1. After your technicians were finished and gone my son of course looked everything over for me. He found that they had not caulked/sealed around the lines going outside which left an opening large enough for rats, mice, snakes or insects to get into the basement. I am 71 yrs old and do not go to my basement very often. Even if I did I may not have seen this opening as I would have assumed all the work would have been properly taken care of. It would be awful for any of the above to get into my basement but it could have been deadly in some cases as I am highly allergic to yellow jackets and wasps. Had this happened I could have died. My son called about this right away and a technician came back and fixed this.
2. My son also found that the outdoor unit was not leveled which can cause serious problems. My son fixed this. He also cleaned up the mess the technicians left outside around the unit.
3. The filter which needs to be changed twice a year was completely taped in place and a new filter could not have been installed without removing this tape. The technician also fixed this.
4. A lot of mud was tracked onto the stairs to the basement which my son cleaned up.
5. At one point during the installation my son went down to check the progress and found one of the technicians adding water to something on the furnace with a family heirloom vase from a basement shelf. Did your workers have nothing with them to use?
6. Later, my son found that there was cool air leaking from the unit. The connections within the unit had not been properly sealed. A technician came back and fixed this.
7. At the same time my son had the technician bundle several wires that were dangling on the floor which could have been a problem if I ever had water in the basement.
8. The hot water heater that I had installed at the same time was left set at extremely hot- as in scalding. My son set it to the suggested temperature.
8. The company was supposed to contact the proper authorities for the necessary inspections. After three weeks I called about this and nothing had been done. After my call the inspections were scheduled right away.
9. The first inspection with Montgomery County failed. The wrong size breakers had been installed. This was fixed and the return inspection passed. The following WSSC inspection passed.
Even though the company has now fixed all the things that were found wrong and inspections have been passed I am very nervous about what undiscovered problems may turn up in the future. I hope this review will help to prevent anyone else from having problems with this company.
The only reason I am giving them 1 star is because zero was not an option. My sister has had nothing but trouble with them. I could write a whole page on the things they did wrong. Avoid them at all costs. My sister is a widow who lives alone. It's probably going to take legal intervention to get them to do the right thing.
Excellent. Easy to book for an evaluation of the type of Health Pump replacement to booking the day of the work. Flawless and punctual. The team arrived on time and performed the job without disturbing our day. They left functioning in perfect order, took the old unit and cleaned the space. Highly recommend
Vito's did the boiler, de-icer, radiant floor heater work on our house's remodel. First time we turned these systems on, they didn't work properly. It's been almost 2 months since they started work on repairing the de-icer. Nolan was supposed to replace the sensor. 3 weeks, no update, no return phone call, porch steps freezing creating a serious safety hazard. Even phone calls to supervisor go unreturned. Pox on our general contractor for using these guys in the first place.
I have no idea how they can claim 5* reviews and service on their web page. We've gotten anything but that.
Lawrence M.They were fast, courteous, knowledgeable, kind and informative... Joseph Pollay is a consummate technician and represents his company well.
I was very pleased with his thoughtfulness, and thoroughness, as well as, his mastery of HVAC technology. It's the first time we used this company; and we'll definitely call on them again.
Thank you!

UPDATE!!!
It appears that Vito Plumbers never bothered to report our problem to WSS! They had no record of the incident. Had Vito reported it to WSS (as they promised) the problem could have been resolved without a second incident and WSS would have remiburse us for our loss sinc ethe problem was located far off our property.
I don't know if this problem speaks more about Vito Plumbers or the particular plumber that they sent to our house.
For whatever it is worth, the worker who came to our house name was; ""Ramon.""
DO NOT LET THIS GUY DO WORK FOR YOU!!! You may regret it!
