I had help with American Home Shield who requested service for a clogged pipe to help me get my dishwasher working. That didn't happen and the $75 fee was collected for no service. I had an appliance company tech after the plumbing service, remove the clog with a screwdriver. Dishwasher now works great. The tech wondered how such a basic thing wasn't done by TMD. I also told American Home Shield not to Use this service.

TMD plumbing came to my house at the suggestion of my home warranty company. They ""fixed"" the problem of the gushing cold water pipe to my laundry sink without telling me (it leaked like crazy & I had to turn off the water to stop it from leaking), and were going to make me pay $200 above what the home warranty company was going to pay to fix it right. I doubt they communicated to the home warranty company that the sink was busted before they came.

The home warranty company then had someone else come out and check out the situation, and this second company is going to do it for no cost to me, and do it right with copper piping.

I had a slow draining kitchen sink so they came out to fix it which they did. My wife was home and he told her our sump pump was draining incorrectly so he switched it from draining into our sewer to into our yard. The next time I went down into my basement there was 3 inches of water. This house has never had any water issues in the basement in the 7 years it has been built.

They were sent out by AHS to clear a drain clog we had. The people they sent where completely unprofessional. Instead of doing the job the proper way they insisted on doing it the ""easy"" way. Not only did they not fix the problem but created a huge mess I had to clean up. They insisted I pay them $75 for coming out which I finely did just to get them out of my house. The next day I had another company come out and that person fixed the problem in about 20 mins with no mess no fuss. Stay far away from this company.

They were supposed to install a water heater for AHS. They came up with a list of repairs they said had to be done by Illinois law for them to install it. I believed them. Got a home inspector to come out none of the work they did was need and there were several things they did that did not meet code. So not only did they do unnecessary work, they did poor quality work and did not do their work up to code. NEVER USE THEM

I've recently moved into my first house and it came with a home warranty. Whenever I've had an issue with my plumbing, VIP is always the preferred provider I choose. What makes them a company I'll continue to use is their prompt responses to any service call (never had to wait more than 24 hours from call to service), but also the fact that Adam's been a great plumber. I've had various issues from drains to hot water heaters and sump pumps. Each time Adam is honest with the problem and gives me options as to what I can do to fix it. He knows that since I'm a new home owner with a newborn, money is always tight and will service every problem that we've come across for a low cost, done right the first time. I recommend them to all my friends in the area.

Had them come to my house to fix my shower. They were not available on the weekends so I had to take off work, which was fine for the first day. It took them a total of 3 day to fix my leaky shower. First time the fix did not work, the next time he did not have the part, on the third day he finally fixed it.

They also forgot to turn my water heater back on, which I noticed while taking a cold shower the following day.

this company came out and gave a quote for a new water heater. the quote included modifications they said were needed. i had another company install the same water heater and modifications were not needed. i would not reccomend this company. beware

If you want to have to pay to repair their damage, use them. 20 months after a ""new"" hot water heater was installed, I'm replacing the poor ""job"" they did. I've even been refused the plumbers state license number which makes me question his validity.
