I arrived home on a Wednesday night, in late January, and noted that my tankless hot water heater was running (it is just 5 years old). This was very unusual (I don't have a 'demand' pump). Immediately, I walked through the house to see if I had forgotten to turn off the hot water somewhere or if a hot water faucet was leaking (shower, bathroom sinks, kitchen sink). No faucet leaks. More than a little concerned, I accessed the tankless hot water heater manufacture's website for a recommendation. The website recommend three plumbers, but Vince of VIP Plumbing and Water Heaters, Inc., was the only plumber that would provide service in my area. I also researched VIP Plumbing and Water Heaters on Yelp for customer ratings. I was pleased to see all customer ratings for VIP Plumbing and Water Heaters were five stars.

I scheduled an appointment with Vince for Friday morning. Upon arrival, Vince assessed the tankless hot water heater and determined that it was not the problem. I had a leak somewhere (oooh nooo). He walked through the house assessing all faucets, no leaks. Next was to look at pipes under the house. Upon removal of the trap door leading to the crawl space under the house, we discovered standing water about 6 inches deep. Unable to get into the crawl space due to the water, Vince leaned in as far as he could into the space and discovered water spewing from a hot water pipe. Immediately he turned off all hot water. I called a water remediation company to evacuate the water (it took approximately 6 hours on Saturday - there was a LOT of water).

Once all the water was evacuated, the absorb-it laid down, the industrial fans, air scrubbers, and humidifiers in place and running, the wet insulation was removed on Sunday.

Vince came back on Monday morning and was finally able to get into the crawl space to assess and repair the broken hot water pipe (he had given me an estimate for the repair work on Friday). The hot water pipe repair took a couple of hours, which also included an assessment of the remaining pipes to rule out the need for additional repairs (no additional repairs were needed). Vince offers a reliable warranty for all services provided.

Vince also serviced my tankless hot water heater and replaced the toilet fill valve and flapper in the guest bathroom toilet.

Excellent service and experience. Vince was on time, professional, responsive, knowledgeable, straight-forward, honest, trust worthy, and hard-working. Contacted Vince regarding a large leak in our water supply line right beyond the meter. He was able to come out on a Sunday and repair the pipe and clear the tree roots which were causing the problem. He also detected high water pressure and replaced the PRV valve. Vince is very knowledgeable and informative and helped me understand the situation. I strongly recommend Vince and will be using him in the future.

I had a poor installation by previous plumber on a Rinnai tankless water heater. VIP came about 2 hours after I called and fixed it. The previous plumber had neglected to add one way valves, had not included a condensation filter and did shoddy soldering. Vince worked until 9pm at night! Highly recommended! Later, after the part that he needed for our bathtub arrived, he fixed our bathtub quickly and to our satisfaction.

One December Monday night, I was drawing a bath for my two young children when I realized my water heater had gone out. After taking a quick look myself, I realized I was no match for a tankless water heater and began my search for a repairman early the next morning. After calling 6 other companies, I reached Vince with VIP Plumbing and he committed to coming out that afternoon. His assessment was free and it was determined the water heater needed to be replaced. He gave me an estimate to replace it and said he could possibly do the job the following day. He wanted to help me as soon as possible, especially since he knew we had small children in the home. I did some research that night and decided this was the right choice for us, so the following morning,Wednesday, I let him know that I wanted to move ahead with the project. He estimated he could be over that afternoon to install the new water heater. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to come until after 5PM and although I appreciate his willingness to start the project so late in the day, we agreed to try again the following day, Thursday. He was able to come over earlier in the day on Thursday and worked tirelessly to replace the water heater. It was a 7 hour project but he powered through and we had hot water that night. He even suggested a solution to help get hot water faster in the house. And what I thought was really great was that he noticed my exterior faucet was leaking and replaced it without me asking or extra charge. Vince was a really friendly guy and I would definitely hire him again.

I highly and unequivocally recommend VIP Plumbing & Water Heaters. Vince installed a whole-house carbon backwashing filter and water softener, as well as an under-the-sink reverse osmosis (RO) system. He provides high-quality plumbing services at very reasonable prices. His work is impeccable. Vince has all the attributes you would want in a plumber. He is professional, reliable, courteous, personable, and informative. Perhaps most importantly, he is trustworthy.

I had talked to several plumbers about purchasing and installing water treatment systems. Vince came to my house and gave me a free detailed, line-item estimate for each component of the system I wanted to have installed. Some other plumbers would help me only if I used the products they sell (e.g., pushing water conditioners as superior to water softeners, even after I explained that I know the difference and wanted a high-efficiency softener). Others pressured me to modify the installation location or to reconfigure the system in ways that I did not want.

Vince struck the exact right balance. He helpfully offered--but never pushed--various ideas and potential products and solutions but was always focused first and foremost on what I was trying to achieve. He assured me that he would get the job done regardless of what products I ultimately chose. His quote was also very competitive.

I purchased all the equipment myself and arranged with Vince to install everything. He installed the system exactly as I had requested. Even though there were some tricky aspects to the installation, Vince always came up with outstanding solutions. Some of the complexities of my setup included the following: adding a three-valve bypass (so that I can still have water in the house if/when the systems ever need service); getting wiring to the installation location for two control valves; joining the drain line from the carbon backwashing filter tank to the softener drain line; and dealing with differences in connection and pipe sizes.

Vince was communicative and responsive throughout the whole process. He kept his appointments. He responded to calls and texts in a timely manner. On the day of installation, even though the job ran long due to some of the intricacies involved, Vince worked late to complete everything that same day, including installing the RO system. Throughout the job, he explained what he was doing and why, and made sure that I was getting the system set up exactly the way I wanted it. He then even followed-up a few days afterward to make sure everything was working properly and to my satisfaction. What amazing service!

His pricing was beyond reasonable, especially given that he had to come a few days before installation to do some prep work to the system and given those complexities I mentioned. He also hauled away some old equipment (which some other plumbers did not include in their pricing).
