First American sent Vintage Plumbing (VP) out to my house. My warranty did not cover the work that needed to be done which is not the least bit surprising. VP quoted $1600. Upon hearing this, I contacted a plumber I trust. I then learned that VP misdiagnosed the problem. They said roots caused damage to the pipe which was completely inaccurate. The damage to the pipe was caused by their camera. The issue was a lack of insulation covering above ground pipes which caused freezing particles and thus backed up the main line. VP is not a reputable company.

If I could give zero stars i would. I made a service call to First American Home Warranty Company for a clogged main line. After 3 days i had to call them myself to schedule a service call. The plumber came to and was unable to find the cleanout. He proceeded to tell me that the service to find the cleanout was $470 and potentially another $2800 to have one installed. I called another plumbing company the next day and was charged just $300 to have the cleanout located and complete the unclogging of my main line. DO NOT use this plumbing company. They only want your money.

Had them scheduled through our home warranty company. 2 guys came out within 2 days for a clogged toilet. The guys were very nice and had the problem fixed quickly.

Horrible service. Made the mistake of allowing them to complete the work while my wife was home and I wasn't. We had a broken toilet that would continuously run. The tech told me that the 'higher ups' don't let them replace parts, and actively encourage them to do 'bootleg' solutions. See attached for my custom bootleg solution. Instead of fixing the issue he bent the steel so that it wouldn't leak anymore. The problem is...it still leaks, and now the whole thing must be replaced.

Great experience. I filed the claim with the home warranty company Friday. Received call on Sunday to schedule service. Plumber named Alex came out Monday morning on time. He repaired the problem, left absolutely no trace, charged only what was owed, and was extremely professional. Don't believe everything you read on here. Would use their company in he future if needed. Thanks Alex.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Terrible service. Accused me several times of lying that I didn't break my own toilet, so now my home warranty denied the claim. I reported that the same tech came out for another issue and I had the same terrible experience. Claimed I was lying about that and they "had no record" although my home warranty company has the proof that I reported it then In Dec 2016 and I have the emails that they were dispatched. The owner wouldn't talk to me, the receptionist hung up on me. Awful owner who degraded me over emails after refusing to speak to me and accused me of "scheming to get free plumbing work". - I pay for a home warranty to fix things that break. Also told me I "needed to stop doing my own plumbing work". - pretty sure I don't ever get accused of tinkering around with my hands in a toilet.

I wish I could rate Vintage Plumbing as zero or negative stars. First American sent this company to inspect a plumbing issue at one of our properties. DO NOT LET VINTAGE PLUMBING on your property. You will regret it.

First of all, the person who answers the phone is a mean, cold hearted, lying woman.

Because of the emergency situation, they were supposed to contact us in 8 hours. Five days later she finally called , lied and said she just got the work order.

Sent a service person to the house. He said he could not unscrew something and the extra work would be $375. I phoned this woman and asked if they would have to break tile or Sheetrock , what are you doing for $375? She would never answer me.

The tenant told me the repair person was in and out in 15 minutes. I called That horrible woman again and asked what they did in 15 minutes for $375 and, again, she would not answer me.

I am sure they continue to rip people off on a daily basis. I will never allow them on any of our properties again. I am sorry First American uses them.

my office was contacted by lyn, claims to be the gm. perhaps she's the wife, the owner or whatever title she claims. regardless, i overheard an entire conversation that she was annoyed that the home warranty co. gave her the owners phone number and then the owner gave lyn her brokerage firm's phone number. started off that she was on the phone and no one would answer the phone...well, this is the first and only time our office ever spoke to lyn.
then she started shouting at my office manager. then my office manager did ask her, "what was wrong with you? are you having a bad day and want to take it out on me?"

lyn said, "i am doing you a favor and i'm not going to service your claim. a water heater has been turning on and off, cold water, gas water heaters or any type of water heater pilot turning on and off is a huge saftey issue!!! how unprofessional lyn, the general manager was. she is the voice of this unprofessional company and is bringing her dirty laundry to work for everyone to feed off of......and that's what it is...i, nor my company has ever used vintage and we will never use them, nor will i ever recommend this company......

i have four companies; my real estate company has been in business for over 33 years. my ac company has been in business for over 40 years and my other two companies have been in business for over 25 years.

the first 3 years of any company are the struggling years. the next two years of a company, one may see a small profit or simply break even! but with lyn being the voice of this company, the first encounter, first impression......is 100% a mistake on the owners and plumbers.....save your overhead money and wages and stop paying this person, lyn and go work for another plubming company.

you, as the owner, if you are being true to yourself, will only know what your gm wants to share......so, as a company owner....i am sharing this message with you.....

Awful company that scammed me and my warranty company. My water meter transmitter indicated that I spent 13,000 gallons of water in one day. I asked vintage plumbing to inspect for a leak that would be as big as dumping a pool of water in one day. They found one little drip from a outdoor valve and said that was it. I called the manager who assured me that my house was floating on a sea of water under the slab. The city came out three months later and told me that the transmitter was faulty. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT FIRST AMERICAN HOME WARRANTY TELLS YOU.

Contracted through First American, I am always skeptical, especially considering the prior reviews. However, I had a very positive experience with Vintage. Lynn called to schedule the appointment (within the service agreement), Will, the plumber showed up when he said he would, and repaired the drain clog in under 20 minutes. I had a good experience with these folks.
