Vintage Plumbing was assigned through my First American Home Warranty to fix water dripping issue from a faucet in one of the bathrooms. The technician checked the faucet. He told me that one of the plastic part was broken and the cartridge needs to be replaced. He said he was going to talk to the home warranty company and ordered parts. Then very quickly I got a call from the Home warranty and my claim was denied because the technician reported that the plastic part was broken with excessive force. They told me if I try to fix the problem, I need to pay a few hundred dollars to buy from the plumbing company for a new set. My question is: Why did the technician tell me one thing and report to the Home Warranty another? I never trust this company and will request the Home Warranty not to use this company any more.

Called First American Warranty because my water heater wouldn't light with our personal attempts. Warranty company referred us to Vintage Plumbing Services. Technician, Damian, came out while my husband was there and said that my water heater was manufactured in 2006 when my home was only 8 years old (built in 2012). I tried questioning the possibility and Damian's response was that homebuilder subcontractors keep stock of supplies in warehouses. That was the first red flag; I felt uneasy - he said he wasn't able to light the pilot light and I needed a new water heater that would cost me $1300. My warranty covers up to $1500 so why would I have to spend out of pocket when water heaters don't even cost that much, I tried to ask. He appeared to be getting frustrated and never could give me a good answer. He also tried to explain to me that I had a whole in my roof and he would need to patch that up but I don't have any leaks in my roof/ceiling. After I got off the phone I called my ex husband about his claim of extra toilets sitting in warehouses and my ex laughed and said that mass producing builders, like my home, wouldn't need surplus. Then I called a neighbor who had his home built the same year as mine and questioned the older water heater to him. Guess what - he was a master plumber and he immediately said the guy was blowing smoke - to look at the serial number and the first two letters would tell me year and month of manufacturer. We did that - letters "J" and "K" and that told me October of 2012!!!!! Where he got 2006 is beyond me. I immediately called my warranty company and asked to cancel the Friday appointment and asked for a refund because anyone that carries themselves that way I don't want to do business with - EVER! That evening my neighbor (and master plumber) came over after a long hard day of work, went into my freezing attic and lit my pilot light. That was all that was needed - and we haven't had an issue since. Trying to call Vintage Plumbing back several times I would only get their voicemail. The day after initially calling them to cancel, my money was taken out of my bank by this company after receiving a "refund email". That was 1/8, today is 1/13 and still no refund or pending credit on my card to refund the money. I called again, voicemail. Had to call the warranty company complaint department just to get them to call me. Lynn, is very kind and that is the only reason why they deserve even 1 star. Still no resolution and now I have to refute the charge with my bank.

I used my home Warranty and was sent a plumber from vintage. Kenneth came in a timely manner but I was a bit concern that he was just in his own pick up truck, no uniform, and no credentials. He saw the bathroom with shower and sink dripping. I turned off the main water line to the house when he requested it. He removed the stems from both hot and cold then told me he needed to go purchase the materials. (What they don't even carry basic supplies??) he replaced the stems and left.
I screwed up because I'm did not go back in the bathroom and check. I needed to hurry back to work. I returned to the house and heard water dripping in the bathroom and saw that the leaking is now MUCH worse. I called Kenneth and he told me everything was fine when he left and I should turn the knobs tighter. I said that really isn't the problem I've checked that they are tight. He then stated that he had taken pictures and sent them to the owner, Levi, and that if I paid $650 more they could replace the valve. What?? I asked to speak with the owner to get clarification and he gave me the number to call. I called and Lynn took my message and said I would get a call back in 5 minutes. No call after 30. I call again and express my concerns and state that I feel I was being deceived. She was nice and said Levi would call.
Levi called and said this must be a communication problem and asks what is going on. I suggested he already know the issue and I would like to have someone come back to fix the now even worse leak. He told me it would be $650 and someone would first need to remove the tile. I restated that I would like for someone to come back because it is now much worse and fix the leak. He told me that Kenneth did a fine job, enjoys what he does, and used the owners credit card to purchase $195 in materials and if I wanted a valve replace it would be $650. I stated that was unacceptable and he said sorry and have a merry Christmas and hug up.
POOR customer service! POOR quality workmanship!! Really just trying to make more money by saying there are modifications that need to be made. Poor business practice.
Now I'm trying to get resolution through the warranty company. That is difficult too.
Just a horrible experience with Vintage plumbing.
I really would like for a technician to come and fix at least what he made worse. Levi, could you please, provide the follow up to fix the dripping that was made worse??
I would like to provide video so you can see the rate of dripping

Was assigned Vintage Plumbing through my First American home warranty to replace my gas water heater. The tank and labor was covered which led me to be believe that I wouldn't pay much out-of-pocket. However, Vintage sent an itemized list of modifications which ranged from $165-$225 for hoses/lines totaling $1,300. My tank and labor is supposed to be covered for this replacement, yet, I'm obligated to pay almost full price due to an arbitrary list of "mods". I called to dispute the charges and was told there is nothing they can do. They even recommended I take the cash-out option from the warranty ($325!) and go somewhere else. Avoid this company (Kenneth especially, thanks for the list of charges that are somehow outside of labor costs), and First American Home Warranty. Their only concern is to maximize their profits at your expense.

Called in a ticket with my warranty company; First American, for issues with two of my toilets. They assigned the ticket to Vintage Plumbing. I received a call on the same afternoon, and they scheduled me for the very next morning. On the day of my appointment I received an estimated time of arrival call from Levi, which is always helpful! Upon his arrival, he and another gentleman..quickly identified the issues- and fixed both toilets in about 20 minutes. They were very friendly and professional, showed me what the problems were, and how they fixed them. Truly the best plumbing service I have ever had! I would definitely recommend them!

This started off as a home warranty call and turned out to be much larger issue than what was originally thought by my wife and I. From beginning to the finish the team and staff was amazing. The owner personally kept in touch with me throughout the entire process.

I had a great experience with Vintage Plumbing. My water heater quit working and my garbage disposal died. I have First American Home Warranty. I filed my claim around 7:45 am and received a call from Vintage by 8:15 am saying they could be at my house by 8:30 am. I was at work so I had to schedule for 8 am the next day. Levi arrived about 15 minutes early and left by 8:01 am! Now my hot water heater works and so does my garbage disposal!! He was very professional and helpful. He even gave me advice about how to ensure that my garbage disposal doesn't break down again. At first I was skeptical after seeing the rating for this company on here. But now that I know they are wonderful, I want to let everyone else know!! This was actually the best home repair/service call I have had from ANY company in the past! I'm very pleased.

Worst plumbers in Houston, rip offs and liars. Sent to our house by 1st American Home warranty, they arrived on time and assessed that our water heater required replacement. We were stunned when we received the estimate which required us to pay 1300.00 dollars in uncovered expenses to cover piping modifications and required parts replacement excluding the water heater which was covered by the warranty company. I worked in the plumbing field for several years when I was younger and knew this could not be correct. Upon inquiry through the warranty company we discovered they were overcharging us and adding parts to the estimate which were not required. (ie They wanted to charge us 165.00 for two water heater pans which cost 20.00 each at home depot.) We cashed out with the warranty company and my son and I replaced the water heater for 449.00, for the water heater, and 30.00 dollars in parts and materials. Totally unsatisfactory! I realize they have make money but this was highway robbery! Stay away from these guys, they are dishonest.

Company was dispatched via my home warranty company First American due to water backing up in the tub, toilet, etc. The provider arrived on time as expected and indicated the stoppage was due to a broken pipe which was not covered by my warranty. The cost to repair the pipe was nearly 3x the cost quoted by multiple other plumbers. Please obtain quotes for comparison prior to using Vintage.

Called to fix garbage disposal under warranty - failed to fix and reported issue due to normal wear and tear when in fact the issue was due to failed seals. Major ripoff, dishonest business.
Update: plumber reported leak caused by foreign object which is just flat wrong. Leak started 2 weeks prior to foreign object.
