This is an honest review after watching Kevin and Eric for about two hours. I am a stickler for robust, high-quality work, and I found the workmanship to be subpar.

I called a few plumbers for the job and found Vinko charging the same price for the Mainline/Bryn Mawr area.

Work they did: installed a shutoff valve, a pressure-reducing valve, and a water expansion tank.

Issues with the work TLDR: Sloppy and in a rush

The old pipe was not sanded and cleaned when joining pipes, which is not a good practice for longevity.

When Vinko cut the pipes, they did not deburr the majority of them. The rubber O-ring on the ProPress fitting can be sliced by a sharp copper shard. Deburring is required according to the ProPress manufacturer.

The pipe-cutting tools Vinko used were extremely dull and bent the pipe, causing fitting issues with the ProPress and additional headaches... requiring ""make it work"" style fitting.

The pipeline was visibly bent when installed. When you are paying top dollar, you expect high-quality work, not ""eyeballing"" and ""making it work.""

(Again, this is sloppy work that may lead to issues in a few years, but not Vinko's problem.)

Please be aware: Vinko uses ProPress almost exclusively. If you have soldered pipes, you need to ask plumbers if they will solder. Nowadays, plumbers want to ""get in and get out,"" and soldering takes time and skill.

Quick service requested and received. Super customer service, quality and excellent response time. We had our garage disposal die on us which meant our dish washer and sink were both out of commission late on a Thursday night. Kevin was the first to reply on Yelp and made a plan for next evening with some heads up about possible replacement cost. Even though we had to reschedule for Saturday morning he came prepared for all scenarios even replacing our ancient dish disposal and completed it in record time. We will be keeping Kevin and Vinko plumbing in our phones for the next time we have a plumbing need! Thanks Kevin!

I had a little emergency on a Saturday late afternoon-broken pipe below my kitchen sink. Kevin was not only the only plumber that called me back, but worked with me for a time to get me repaired and our kitchen sink working again the SAME DAY. He responsive, professional, cared for my house like it was his own and and actually followed up the next day with a call to see if everything was still tip top. Will definitely use Vinko again and would recommend to everyone.

I'm absolutely thrilled with the service that I received from Vinko plumbing! They were on time, courteous and did a fantastic job. I had purchased the wrong faucet and Kevin Vinko went so far as to go with me to return the one I purchased and help me select a new one (in the correct size and style). I received such such great customer service from Kevin! We had a surprise water heater break and Kevin was sooooo responsive on a Sunday afternoon of all times!! He was never pushy and provided a number of options to accommodate us, either for an immediate install or to wait the next day to have the same tank brand we currently had installed, as was our preference. He was extremely patient, answered my 800 questions thoroughly, and provided an extremely fair price quote. Even when a situation totally out of his control made it so that we had to make an alternate last minute decision, he again was very understanding and was never pushy. Though we didn't work direcltly with him on this specific job I will DEFINITELY be reaching out for future work - his customer service speaks volumes and there are a ton of other customers that have had positive experiences with his expertise. I am always nervous reaching out to contractors as it can be intimidating when you are not tech-savvy yourself -but Kevin has changed my tune!

Our kitchen sink was slow to drain for months and the last few weeks, water would back flow out of it. Had a couple of people come out and try to fix with no luck. I found Vinko on Yelp and saw their good reviews so we gave them a call. They came out the next morning! Long story short, Kevin and Eric were able to figure out the issue and fix it. I highly recommend Vinko. They were super nice, prompt and courteous.

I had an issue that involved my gas being shut off. Kevin promptly answered and came out within a couple of hours. He quickly replaced the pipes and followed up the next day with me regarding getting my gas turned back on. Nice guy, and I would recommend him to others!

I called many plumbers in Philly, all well reviewed on Yelp, and Kevin was the first to pick up. I called Kevin because of the stellar reviews, too, and I'm also leaving one. Even if we only had a small job, Kevin came out the next day and took care of it. It was just washer hose replacement, but we wanted to make sure it was done professionally, after all. The water was leaking into another unit below and it could've potentially created a lot of water damage.

I really appreciate how responsive he is and that he came out right away. He even sent me a picture of the completed work. That's proof and peace of mind.

We have a condo in Old City and we are all the way in California. Our tenant is pleased with the work and I'm just happy it's done. It's hard to find good plumbers anywhere. They're either too busy, won't reply asap and put you on the back burner for small work. Not Kevin. He personally answered the phone and it didn't even go to voicemail.
