Noreen N.Let me say first, I come from a west coast plumbing family, so I have high expectations from plumbers. I have had Vincent's Plumbing to my home twice in the last month. Each time Brandon, the plumber has arrived on time, been professional, offered options to correct the plumbing issues I was having, and cleaned up thoroughly when the jobs were completed. He left no trace behind, except for properly working plumbing. He explained the service fee, and charges. He is polite, has great people skills, and is a professional I will call for any future plumbing issues. I recommend Brandon without reservation.
I called to get an estimate to have our galvanized pipes replaced with pex . The person they sent out was very professional and nice. The problem was when he got done accessing the job he said ""now they did tell you there would be a $129 service fee for coming out to do the estimate"" We said no we were not told that! Estimates are almost always free and if they are not it is their job the let people know that!! That is total bad business as far as I was concerned. Who has the money to pay a plumber as it is , let alone being tricked into a huge service fee for an estimate. what a sneaky way to make a buck. I called because I heard it was a good honest company , boy did I find out different . I cant believe they are still in business pulling something like that. I felt bad for the person who came out because he shouldnt have been the one to have to drop that on us. I dont care how good they are at their job I would never call them to do anything if thats the way they conduct business. Im so sick of paying more and more for services and being treated like that. Shame on you Vincents heating and plumbing
last month I had this company out to do a tune up and a compressor cleaning on my a/c unit. the technician that came out sprayed the outside of the unit with my hose. say on the ground and watch how to YouTube videos said a wire was lose and left. charged me almost $300 for this. They did not properly take apart the unit to clean it correctly, check refrigerate level or anything that is meant to come with this service. on Sunday I turned my unit on for the first time since getting the service and it died almost immediately. I had another company come out to look at it and it definitely died due to not being properly cleaned. unfortunately I am not able to afford the repairs needed so I am out an AC in the summer with a mother with severe breathing issues. I have made several attempts to resolve this with Vincent's however all I get is them attempting to talk circles around me and gaslight me. I will continue to take steps to attempt to get this resolved. I do have photos that show that the unit was not cleaned. Update. The president of the company came out to take a look. Even he didn't seem to have any idea what he was doing. He said he found that there was no power going to the unit. I asked if this could be due to his tech fiddling with wires as this had never been and issue before this. He told me ""I don't under the question."" After I asked this again he began a 20 minute speel attempting to talk me dizzy about how wires go after time and there is no way to tell when they will go unless you are a scientist. I'm not even kidding this is what the man said. After sometime of rambling and me attempting to politely listen he stopped and said ""have I lost you?"" As if I'm too stupid to understand what he was saying I stated that I was not lost just unhappy with him attempting to talk me in circles to divert responsibility and I asked him to leave. His secretary then called me to offer me either a refund on the tune up, or 1000 in credit for a new system. I chose the refund as I do not trust that their techs or owners are trained enough to be doing major work. After consulting with my homeowners insurance I was advised to grt the insurance information from the company to have it looked into further to see what can be covered. When I called them to get the information and collen screamed at me and said ""we didn't do anything to your ac"" I calmly stated back that once we get it looked into further we will know. She then refused to give me the insurance information. Fortunately my insurance agent was able to find it. I am not a person who just post bad reviews I take action. I'm sure the company saw a single mother who takes care of her disabled parents and saw a goldmine and a push over. However I'm not one who can be tricked, played or manipulated. As you can see from other reviews this company uses this overtaking and over explanation tactic often to gaslight people. I would never recommend doing business with these people. ?
We've been dealing with Vincent's for over 20 years and they've always got the job done right . The crew that come out are always respectful and courteous and know how to get the job done right. We've had plumbing and heating issues addressed over the years and would recommend them to get the job done right.
I wrote a review commenting on the service that we had and the response we received when we called the office to question the guarantee on the work done. Mr. Squires, the owner of Vincent's Plumbing and Heating, called me and was extremely courteous and concerned about the plumbing service that had been completed. He sent out a plumber to inspect and review the project. Marvin was an exemplary representative of Vincent's company. He spent time explaining what was wrong and quickly repaired the problem. Thank you Mr. Squires for standing behind your company and your employees. We appreciate your assistance and desire to maintain your outstanding reputation. Thank you.
My experience with VHP across two houses and thirty years has been excellent. They've always been prompt, courteous, understanding, and explain everything they're doing. They stand behind their work and follow up completely. Yes, they cost, but it's about market rate for professionals of their caliber (price out other shops). I hear some say, ""They're too expensive"" - fine, if you can get someone your brother-in-law knows to come in and do it for $30, more power to you - but who are you going to call when the pipe breaks or the furnace fails? I've always found the dollars I've spent with VHP to be worth it in peace of mind and quality work.
In December 2018 my sister paid for their HVAC furnace tune up plan. They came and declared all was well except that in time her air conditioner would need to have its voltage absorbtion system replaced as it was reading low. She was told that they vary in price from $495-$700 depending on the quality of system she buys. My sister, before okaying the repair right then, waited to ask me about it. As a journeyman electrician working in a local power plant, I have never heard of a voltage absorbtion system!! So I googled it to find that it is nothing more than a capacitor. Less than $20 to buy.
My sister is retired living on a fixed income. In my opinion either the technician is a crook or the company he works for is!!!!
Kimberly J.From the first contact over the phone to the final inspection the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I would recommend Vincent's to anyone.
Mike P.$247 to replace a toliet shut off valve, the guy threw in a connection tube also, so if you buy that same thing from home depot you're looking at a $12-30 part, it took an hour working on that job which equals $217ish per hour for labor. That's with the $119 service charge dropped. Oh, and if the secretary says $119 service charge plus ""repair"" it means that once they get there prepare to over pay as this simple job was estimated anywhere from $247-$800 on site depending on if i wanted toliet parts changed and protection plans or a warranty, $247 was the cheapest estimate. Before the plumber showed up i asked three times if ""repair"" ment parts but the clarification was vague. No free estimates either, costs $119 just to show up. And the plumber couldn't even give me a general idea, as in a range from low to hi, a general range i remind you, as to what it might cost to put in a downstairs shower drain, nope, that would cost me an additional $119 estimate on a different day. Like, you do this for a living, you should have an idea from like $1,000 to $7,000... there I guessed and I don't do this for a living. My toliet valve works... but don't use these guys unless you are desparate and have money to throw away. Donate your money to charity and look up how to do your own easier jobs on youtube or call someone else. My wife is having surgery and i needed that toliet fixed ASAP so I feel like i was taken advantage of, but I'll never use Vincents again....EVER. This review could have been prevented if they dropped the price a bit because of the miscommunication between me and the secretary. I didn't refuse to have the work done bc I lnew that I would probably have been charged $119 just to have the guy pull into my driveway. They lost a lot of business from robbing me once.
Jennifer M.I know the owners and they are good men. I also know a few other employees and they are very conscientious people. I've never needed their services, but I would recommend them.
