Vince is not a very pleasant person if you try to question him on any part of his work or time frames in doing the work. Overpriced also for plumbing work. If you have enough drama in your life already, do the smart thing and choose a different plumber.

Vince has done work for us multiple times. He installed a new steam boiler for us, and replaced several degrading pipes. He also installed a vanity in our bathroom. I highly recommend Vince's work. He is honest and knowledgeable, which is difficult to find, especially with steam boilers. Thanks Vince!

Overall, Vince did a great job installing a gas line for our pool heater. He was efficient, thorough, and neat. He knows his stuff! Vince came the next day after calling about a problem caused by another plumber (that initiated the project) and efficiently fixed the problem. Scheduling a follow up appointment to finish the job of installing the external gas line to the pool heater was longer than we thought as we had an 18 inch trench dug for him for over 2 weeks (he suggested digging it to save $450). However, he eventually returned and did a solid job! Our heater is up & running and the water feels great!

I've used Vince multiple times the past 2 years (hot water tank, expansion pack, etc). He is a very well experienced, honest plumber. Most recently, my rental property had issues with the water pressure and Vince was able to clearly advise over the phone on how the fix the issue. He is also very responsive, which has been very convenient.

After using another bigger company for our toilet leaking issue, they weren't able to fix/identify the cause and was going to charge us another $170 after they charged us $200 the first time. We were so frustrated with the issue and desperate to find a plumber who know the work. After call around, Vince was the only one can come out at the same day. He showed up and did some testing. Then quickly identified the issue. It probably took him about 1h to 1.5hrs to fix and clean up. He was very clear about the pricing. It was reasonable. I'm happy about the experience would recommend him to others.

Vince has done excellent work for my family twice now in the past 6 months on two different houses that were having major sewer line back up problems. First was the full replacement of a sewer line under a driveway in the dead of winter. His price was reasonable, his work was very timely and meticulous, and he communicated with us by text and cell phone throughout the entire process. Second was with his sewer line camera inspection service as part of a home purchase. His analysis of a recent sewer line backup problem saved us from purchasing a house that had a significant ongoing problem with the sewer line. Vince took the time to explain the problem in detail, uploaded the camera footage through DropBox, and created a written estimate for the Sellers to go along with the video on a tight deadline. Without his expertise and identification of the root cause, we would have been stuck with an expensive repair after the sale. We will continue to call Vince for all of our plumbing needs. ! He even has a great website and blog!

I found Vince Marino Plumbing through Yelp! When you call, it's Vince that answers. He was able to adjust his schedule to assist me with an emergency main line back up. My house is not easy to get to as the clean out access was down 3 different flights of stairs. He was able to snake the drain clearing a bad case of roots in minutes. In the past many different contractors change quotes when they see the terrain where my house is built. Just not easy to get tools in and out. He stuck to the rate but was compensated for such speedy work and accommodating my emergency. Thanks Vince!

UPDATE: After posting this review on Yelp and Google reviews, he called and left two nasty voicemail messages threatening to sue me for ""slander"" if I didn't take down this review.

While my attorney found this quite hilarious, I'm horrified that some people might actually retract their reviews after receiving such a threat. Horrible business practice. Vince, if you don't want people to write bad reviews online, try being a more ethical businessman and don't threaten people.

My original review that he threatened to sue me over is below:

Knowledgeable plumber and it seems like he charges fair prices, BUT be warned, he may lose his temper and THREATEN YOU if you do not take his advice or go with his service.

When I chose not to use his services, I told him I would GLADLY pay the service fee (which is $90) for him coming out to assess the problem. Then, he angrily responded that I was jerking his chain and complained about me calling him in church (even though I had no idea he was in church at the time - he did not give me his personal schedule).

He also threatened to send the bill to collection agency if I did not pay, BEFORE he even sent the bill to me. His exact words were ""I'm not threatening you, but I will send the bill to collection agency if you do not pay."" Um sorry, but that's still a threat even if you prefaced it with ""I'm not threatening you"" lol.

What kind of business owner does that? I paid you a fair price for your time. There was no need to make personal attacks and threaten to send to collection agency.

Also, his website is dishonest by only accepting reviews of people who rate him positively (hence why I came to Yelp and Google reviews).
