The owner has provided inconsistent quotes on identical projects, routed our water heater intake & outgoing hot water feed backwards & quite frankly isn't a nice guy to work with.

I LOVE supporting small local businesses! This is one that you should avoid. There are plenty of other quality plumbers in the area to choose from.

Rich Wegner of Village Plumbing (master plumber lic 226989) resisted several attempts to get a quote for what looked to be a relatively simple repair on a shower handle. After asking multiple times, he quoted me a price of $75. Then he fixed the handle and charged me $125 for what was five minutes worth of work -- I actually watched him perform the repair. When I attempted to negotiate to his original quote -- $150 for 5 minutes work of work? Really? -- he threatened to slap a contractor's lien on my property. There are many honest, hardworking contractors in Milwaukee, but my experience with Rich Wegner suggests that he is not one of them. His reluctance to provide a quote before performing work, then going over that quote and then aggressively resisting any attempts to hold him to his word, suggest he's not interested in providing a reliable, cost-efficient service to customers.
