If you've got unlimited funds, then the Village Plumber may be the one for you; but if not, you might want to shop around! It's hard for me to not feel that my 90 year old Dad was taken advantage of -- a $464 bill to replace a washing machine valve and two hoses; he could have purchased a new machine for that price. At their current labor rate of $195 per hour, that 90 minute job had him feeling ripped off and I don't blame him. Village Plumber is entitled to charge what they want, of course, but buyers beware, there are still other reasonable, qualified plumbers who won't make you feel like you've been taken advantage of.

Absolutely the worst! Called to winterize our house for the first week in Dec. I called the office to confirm and was assured that he did the winterization. The pipes froze and damaged half the house. Repairs are still underway. Attempts to seek to Bill Battles are in vain. His WIFE was supposed to call back! Only option is to take the legal route. I wouldn't trust him to put water in the dog's bowl!

My husband and I are senior citizens. We had Village Plumbing put in a boiler because MASS Save was offering rebates and loans. The system is less than 6 months old and has been a problem from day one. I have hired an attorney, filed complaints with the BBB, AARP,MA Attorney General and will submit a complaint against his license. A new boiler with a COLD house. What type of businessman
has outburts using the F_ _ _ word to an elder woman?

Am interested in Solar they were recommened by friends.
Found them to be very knowledgable and efficient.

""Bill' came on time explained every thing well.

In the mean time we developed a leak in our furnace called them again, they came and fixed it promptly for no charge.

We will now use them as our regular plumber and hope to do solar.

Contacted him in December, looked over the job in January, said he could come in a week or so. Several weeks passed and we called again, said he would come next week. We were now into march still with no sink in the bathroom. No show the following week, called and they promised to come the following week, this time at least they called to say they would have to cancel and scheduled us for mid April, mid April came and they called and said they would have to reschedule again, at this point we gave up we were now into May. called another Westport plumber he came and did work the following week in half a day and did it for 1,500 under the estimate that we got from Village plumbing
I understand there are emergencies but this treatment is inexcusable.
