We have used Village Plumbing in the past for appliance repair and have been very pleased with their work. Our stackable washer stopped working and Ricardo looked at the machine and ordered parts. He was very knowledgeable and did only repairs needed but also told us that the rubber hoses should be replaced to prevent a major problem with water flooding to a unit below. He will definitely be the one we call at that company again for any repairs. The repair cost was reasonable and his helper Brandon was also very good. I definitely would recommend this company and Ricardo for appliance repair.

We called Village Plumbing for a small plumbing issue earlier this year. We knew that we were probably over paying for the service but they got the job done.

Starting a couple of months ago my husband started getting calls from them, saying that we had signed up and paid for an HVAC service where they come out and make sure everything is working properly. My husband told them several times that we weren't available for that service due to work, but they called repeatedly and he finally relented.

I met the man that they sent (I wish I could remember his name), and he immediately headed for the attic. He spent less than 5 minutes in the attic before coming down and telling me that the furnace was incredibly old and damaged, that he turned it off because he couldn't leave it on in good conscience, and that this is how people die. He said we needed a new furnace, quoted me a "special" price of $3,000 and reminded me that it was getting cold soon.

I'm hardly a human lie detector, but his delivery of the information alone was enough to make me question what he said. We called in a second and third opinion from companies that relatives of ours trust. Both service techs said that there was NOTHING wrong with our furnace. They said that it was an older unit but in good working shape, and they only charged us for the callout fee.

I suppose they think that because they deal with customers in a certain part of town that we have money we don't need and brains we don't use. Do NOT use Village Plumbers, and if you do make sure to get a second opinion.

I knew calling village plumbing wouldn't be the most economical choice... but honestly, I was just lazy and wanted to get my leaking faucet fixed. So I paid the $60 some dollars to have them come out and check it out. I thought maybe it would $300-$400 but nope...they said it would it would be over $1000 to replace it. WHAAAAAAT!?

I of course did not pay that and went on youtube to see if I could replace it myself. So that's what I did. It took me under an hour and cost me about $30 in supplies.

Please don't make the same mistake I did. If you have a simple issue of replacing a sink faucet, IT IS SO SUPER SIMPLE. PLEASE TRY TO DO IT YOURSELF. On the other hand, if you have a more serious issue, I say go ahead and use village plumbing because they are professional and trustworthy. Or go to home depot. There are plenty of guys hanging around in the parking lot looking for a job and willing to do it at a great price. lol

But I also think its worth the piece of mind of using a company....JUST ON BIGGER PROJECTS. Don't be dumb like me and spend $1000 to change a faucet that takes literally 10 minutes!

I contacted Village for an estimate on replacing my water heater and I immediately got an email and a call back. They sent their guys out in 2 days. they sent me an email with the image of the employee that was coming to my house. I wish all the companies would do this. They called me 30 minutes before they arrived. They were professional and friendly. I will definitely recommend this company to family and friends.

I have been on Yelp now for 8 years reading reviews etc, this is the first time (good or bad) I have actually posted. I know, I am lazy. I am very forgiving but our last two experiences with Village have been nothing short of jaw dropping. Full disclosure: neither my wife nor I are plumbing or HVAC experts, we have to rely on the "professionals". We also trust people and take them for their word....never again will we hire Village due to the below two instances within the past 6 months.

#1: I went to take a shower one morning and twisted the handle...nothing. No water. Called Village up and they were there the next day to asses the situation. We were given this laundry list of items that were causing the issue and that the only way to replace it was to remove the wall behind the handle. Drill a massive hole, bust out tile, redo the drywall all so that they can get our shower working? (not to mention a $2,000+ price tag) This did not seem right, even to someone who knows nothing about how showers work. Sure enough, went on Nextdoor and found a plumber that a neighbor recommended. He came out, I mentioned what Village told me and he started shaking his head. Sure enough, the cartridge within the lever had simply deteriorated. He removed the handle with a screwdriver, popped the old out, stuck a new one in and was out of our house in 30 minutes (and only $300).

#2: This happened today. Village emailed me and said we had one free furnace check prior to winter. Okay great. My wife was there to meet them (taking time off of work). This clown told my wife that when they put a new roof on 6+ years ago that they had nailed holes into furnace flue pipe. This was causing carbon monoxide to leak into our attic and therefore he immediately shut the furnace off until we could get it fixed. Not only that, but he claimed that we needed a new furnace and potentially just to start over with a new HVAC system. He gave my wife three quotes - $1,000 to replace the flue pipe (a small piece of metal), $3,000 for a new furnace....and $12,000+ for a new HVAC system! We did not ask for any of these items, but he sure as hell scared my wife to death by making her think we had significant carbon monoxide floating around in our attic. Given what happened before with the shower, I called out our usual HVAC technician. He runs his own company that services massive industrial facilities and does this for us somewhat as a favor. He had a look and immediately started laughing. Not only was everything up to code, but there was ZERO leakage of CO in the attic and he has the exact same system within his own home! The furnace works completely fine, the flue is intact with no holes/leakage and the rest of the HVAC is in perfectly good working condition. To think Village would have happily accepted replacing our entire HVAC system for a cool $12,000+, while knowing it is unnecessary and that they scared my wife into thinking it was is nothing short of extortion.

DO NOT TRUST THESE FOLKS. IF THEY HAVE QUOTED YOU ON SOMETHING, GET A SECOND OPINION IMMEDIATELY.

We will be taking this to the BBB as well.

Courteous, professional and good about communicating. They are on time and give you a heads up phone call when they're on their way. They even send a photo of the technician who will be coming to your house so you know who to expect.

Geoff with Village Plumbing & Air did a great job for me! He didn't try to upsell me on anything that I didn't need (it has happened to me in the past with other plumbing companies...extremely annoying). He just notified me of the items I did actually need to attend to.

I was also on an important, extended phone call while he was working. Geoff did his work quietly so as not to interrupt my call. That is a very professional job done by an excellent company.

I would recommend Village Plumbing & Air for your plumbing and ac needs.

CAN WE TRUST VILLAGE PLUMBING & AIR ???? NOPE. We thought we could but NOT.

Center point took our gas meter because of a gas leak. So, we hired Village Plumbing in Feb 2017. Mr. Brent and another technician came to take a look at the gas leak on Feb 16, 2017. They told us they found the leaks and will be able to fix it for $2566.37. It's a lot of money but we have to fix it. So, we decided to go with Village Plumbing.

Mr. Brent came the next day from 9:50 to 11:15 am. Mr. Brent told us that he can't find all the leaks, we will have to re-pipe the entire gas lines. OMG!!! It sounds like its going to be more expensive. We could not believe it.

However, we really need the gas back, so our baby can have a nice warm bath. Mr. Brent came to re-piped the gas dryer and gas water heater , and gas stove (they are right behind each other, about 5 feet away from Center Point gas meter) Our HVAC pipe was new from 2016, so he did not need to do anything to it. Mr. Brent was very friendly but he lied to us and city inspector after he claimed the job is finished on Feb. 22nd 2017. The inspection passed on Fed 23rd and We finally got our gas meter back on Feb 24th, 2017.

OMG~ the gas dryer is not working??? What is going on??? We could not believe Mr. Brent did not do anything to gas dryer but lied to us and the inspector. We had to call Village Plumbing to send us another plumber to connect the gas dryer in the same day. The technician (Mr. Brandon) said he will have to charge us $350 per hour if he has to come out in the same day. WHAT?!!!! Mr. Brent did not finish the job and we have to suffer through this???

The job was poor!!! The dryer gas pipe used to be under the house. Mr. Brandon was not be able to go install it under the house. He connected the pipes inside of our house around the walls. We could not believe it!!! It is very ugly and not done the job right.

We ended up with a bill of $3500 for this type of headache and can not trust these people. They also left our house dirty.

Once, Mr. Brent said to me.. Don't worry about the dirt. You should worry about you don't have the gas.

We have a baby that we try to keep the house clean as much as possible. Also, they left lots of cigarette butts in our back yard driveway.

How can we be HAPPY with this kind of service????

WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

I do not recommend!
The service is very prompt and very friendly - and the guys are all very knowledgeable ... but they will always tell you to replace every single component.
They conned me out of $12,000 last year. Never again.
I found an independent contractor who fixed my appliances such as AC unit instead of replacing everything.
