A tree limb had cut off the power supply to the house. Village Electric arrived on less than an hour's notice, stayed late into the evening, and the next day made the connection to the town wire inspector and the power company to restore power. The technician carefully gave instructions on how and when to turn circuit breakers back on. They even trimmed away some obsolete internet/cable TV wires. Probably not the least expensive outfit, but you get quality.

I needed an electrician after the fire dept came to check my smoke detectors. They recommended I get an electrician because my other breakers were shutting off. The dread of trying to find someone. I called Village Electric who came out the next day. They were very professional from my first phone call to the end of the visit. Some of my wires were loose and the wire to the smoke detector main was frayed. This meant they would not talk to each other. They fixed both problems and came with the equipment necessary to reach the cathedral ceiling. The electricians were very personable and the bill was reasonable. They diagnosed the problems quickly and I am very appreciative.

Village Electric responded quickly to an email inquiry. Crew arrived as promised. The problem was successfully resolved. The problem is the cost. They send an electrician and an apprentice and bill for both. I had told them what a certified home inspector had diagnosed as the cause of a circuit disruption. 2.5 hours later and after ""checking"" every switch, device and the entire breaker panel, the problem was what I told on arrival. $640+. They also gave me estimates for services that are unnecessary and costly. I wish my electrician for the past 20 years hadn't retired.

I actually didn't end up using this company... they did seem very professional on the phone. My appointment was for 1-3:00 with a half hour call ahead and at about 12:20 - they cancelled until the following week. Since we already had one estimate on a fairly expensive item... we decided not to have them come. Didn't really care for the $95 fee to show up-- taken off the bill if you like the estimate and proceed. I have never had a fee for an estimate before with electrical or plumbing.

We just bought a house, and found out the first week that our oven was tripping the GFCI circuit that it was on.

Village Electric got us on their list, and were able to come out the same week - they were able to diagnose the problem with the oven, and saved us from having to get a new one!

While Dave was working on the oven, Quinn fixed all the outlets that were not grounded or had reversed polarity throughout the house. They walked me through what they were doing, and were happy to answer all the questions I had, being a new homeowner.

We'll be having them back soon to get us upgraded to 200 Amps - they are my go-to guys now!

Have you been looking for a company that returns your calls, arrives on schedule, does a thorough job, cleans up after the job is done (they even used a dust buster!), and the workers are professional? Call Village Electric! I highly recommend this company and would give them 10 stars if I could.

I have used Village Electric for two projects (a complicated installation of a whole house backup generator and rewiring my pool light). In both cases they did excellent quality work and also were very careful to respect Covid protocols.

Josh, the owner, came out to look at the job and provide a quote to replace about 150 feet of underground service cable that National Grid determined to be the problem. Without rushing into the job, Josh said that he wanted to check a couple of things out (at no extra charge) just in case it was a less costly fix. I was very impressed as that is integrity you don't see much any more. After determining that it indeed looked like I would need a service line replacement, Josh provided a quote and his team arrived within a couple of weeks. His team did an excellent job at removing the old line (of which the neutral wire was compromised) and replacing it with brand new cables. He later sent me an invoice that matched exactly his quoted price. I paid promptly and am very happy. Thank you to Josh and his team as I will not hesitate to call you back when the need arises!
