VIG does not stand behind their work!

VIG installed my Sun Power solar system in early 2024. Three of my 49 panels stopped communicating. VIG sent a crew to diagnose the problem. They were unable to find the issue. Office staff indicated that they could not figure out the issue because the install crew who installed the system left VIG.

Left on my own, I hired an experienced technician from a competitor. He spent two and 1/2 days, and was able to find the issue and clean up the mess left by the VIG technicians. The install crew damaged a connector that provided power to the three panels in question. Because of the damage, it failed. Once replaced, the panels worked fine. This was an installation defect and VIG has refused to accept responsibility. The have simply ignored me, hoping I will just go away.

The VIG crew left loose hardware on the roof and did not re-secure panels to the roof. Panels were missing mid-caps and end-caps that secure the panels to the roof. The apparently pulled panels, but did not bother to re-secure them to the roof racks before leaving. Luckily, none of the panels blew off my roof. Flying panels could be very dangerous. We also found bird guards pulled away, exposing my system to bird intrusions and rendering the money spent to place bird guards, worthless. We also found a significant number of roof tiles broken.

VIG office staff did drop off mid-caps and end-caps so we could re-secure panels to the roof.

When I asked VIG to cover my repair costs, the office staff said they would check with management and get back to me.
They never responded and have since ignored numerous calls and a detailed letter with clear documentation.

We shopped around and met with various solar companies and reps. By far VIG is the best and has the most educated people working for them. The sales rep that helped us with our off-grid solar system was Dylan Smith. Amy was extremely helpful and communicated frequently throughout the installation. I would highly recommend this company for anyone shopping for solar and/or any backup power solution.

This was by far the easiest solar company I have ever worked with. I have done solar on two of my properties and the representative Dylan Smith that I worked with not only made everything very easy and clear to understand, but informed me about an off system with back up power Instead of the traditional, regular solar system every other company offered me. We currently have a solar system that has serviced us quite well. However do to our recent heat wave and a very large electric bill we needed to prepare for next summer's heat wave. As we know electric bills will increase and we needed to remedy this increase while it is in our control. This is when, VIG Solar, came to our rescue.
We are retired and our income can only go so far. Thee entire staff have one goal and that is customer service. They work hard to make sure that all questions and most importantly that every step is being explained so at the end of the day, there will be no question unanswered.
Knowing that the price of electricity will go up in the future we are resassured that the increase will NOT effects us.
We will not see a bill like we saw this past summer. FYI, our highest bill this last summer with solar was over $400.00. We are looking forward to a stress free summer and no to worry about high bill and be able enjoy a the comfort of our home. If anyone is looking for a Solar Company to do business with, I recommend, VIG Solar.

Never return calls since SunPower went bankrupt. Very sad. They were hard to reach before but now it is impossible. Do better, Vig Solar!

As promised. VIG paid 2 of my power bills and rounded them down and even when I brought it to their attention, they did nothing and then promised me that they would give me the difference and add a little bit more to it and never did they make appointments and they're never on time. Ryan you're a star keep shining!

Been wanting to get solar for awhile and this probably the best deal we've came across and we jumped on it right away, sales were very professional and follow-ups via email and telephone were very responsive. Will refer more clients to them.

Told me they could get my Tesla solar lease rolled into a loan which was not true. Never called me back or followed up after I said I wanted to cancel my contract. Told me salesman would call me and he never did.

These people will not do as they say. Wayne and Kat made promises that they refuse to honor. I made the mistake of signing off on the final paperwork after they agreed in writing to correct an installation error on my roof. 7 months later Wayne is acting like the written correspondence is worthless and is refusing any responsibility.

Do not do business with them or SunPower ( who uses them to install their systems)!!!!!

I never leave bad reviews. I am on VIG solar. That's how strongly I feel about this terribly corrupt business.
