Victory Skaggs
Company Overview
Since 1922, Victory Skaggs has been a family-owned plumbing company based in Elmont, NY. Our expertise includes the design, fabrication, and installation of ducted systems and mini-split systems, including brands like Mitsubishi and Fujitsu. Our team is equipped to service all major central systems, including Bryant, Carrier, Lennox, Rheem, Ruud, Tempstar, Trane, and others. We offer service contracts to meet your needs. We look forward to providing you with exceptional plumbing service.
Victory Skaggs was founded by my grandfather, Louis Victory, along with his two brothers in 1922. Initially, the business focused on roofing and sheet metal fabrication. My father joined the company after finishing high school in 1939 and expanded into central heating and air conditioning in the 1960s. During my summers in high school, I started working and gaining experience in the trade. Upon graduating from college in 1976, I gained valuable experience working for a larger company. I became the president of Victory Skaggs in 1989. Together, our family business has installed thousands of central heating, A/C, and ductless mini-split systems. Our commitment to outstanding installation and service will carry on.
Raymond Victory brings nearly 45 years of expertise in the heating and A/C sector. I am proud to be the third-generation owner.

Hidesato S.I believe this business has closed. Please see a recent picture of their location in Jamaica. The building has been demolished. I wonder if they have relocated.
They were very good for many years. Sorry to see them go.
Had a new furnace installed during the cold wave last week. The installers and everyone associated with Victory are very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. They are that good.

Pete C.Our Central Air Handler stopped working on the hottest week of 2018 so far. My family and kids were having a difficult time with the little space fans i bought. I found Victory Bros while searching for Rheem techs. All the Rheem techs on their company website would not deal with small residential houses. Victory came to the house and quickly found the solution to why the air handler was not working and explained everything to my wife with great attention to detail and made sure she understood the exact issue and solution and even made a drawing !
Victory Bros is highly Professional and a great family business ! Highly recommended and will go to them for any issues in the future ! !
Excellent experience. Installed full hard duct central air in 3 days. Team was ontime and didn't stop working from the time they arrived. Highly recommended.
Why go anywhere else? Victory has done four installs on my block already. I won't be the last.
My son went through Home Depot and Victory Bros. was assigned the job, they came explained in details about the split air unit that we were purchasing, the type of unit and process of the installation etc. Weeks later two technicians came on time, very courteous and immediately started the installation and did not leave until I told them everything seems fine. They also patiently walk me through how to use and care for the unit. I observed them for the entire four plus hours working inside and outside of the home. I am so totally satisfied with the installation and service from Victory Bros. that I referred them to another homeowner. The cable and telephone company should take lessons from these guys on installation. all of the cables etc. were neatly installed as they should no ugly wires dangling in or outside the house. These two technicians are extremely good at their craft, I have had quite a few technicians/repair persons doing installation in and outside of my home and had to call them back and had to cleanup after they left. These guys vacuumed and cart away their leftover materials. One thing took me by surprise, I looked inside of their van as they took out the unit and items/tools when they arrived. Inside of the van looked like a methodically well stocked store. (neat as a pin). I am so glad to have encounter Victory Bros. because it is so hard to find a company where they know their stuff. Thank you, Victory Bros.
Dont understand that negative review at all. Our experience has been wonderful. Been on contract for yeas and from the nice woman on phone to Robbie so nice and friendly and all good for us with them. Highly recommend them!
I definitely recommend Victory Brothers for your Hvac needs. I needed my central air installed and was frustrated because the Home Depot messed up my appointment dates TWICE so I was frustrated with shopping around for an ideal company. Three years earlier, my mom used Victory bros to install her boiler so I decided to give them a call. I called for my appointment and they gave me one immediately for the following day. Robert was the rep they sent and he was beyond helpful. He answered all of my questions without making me feel like I was bothering him. He explained everything to me until I understood and also left me his personal number if I ever had any issues or questions. So far everything is great with my central air and I give this company two thumbs up!
Called them every week for 2 months to get an estimate. Finally got one of their techs to come out but never received a proposal. The receptionist is nice but makes a ton of excuses for why no one can get back to me. First the owner went on vacation and then when he got back he needed a week to catch up on messages. Well after 3 months I gave up.
My project was not that big but come on where is the customer service. My advice is that if you have a big job/budget then they will be responsive otherwise look elsewhere.
So wrote a great review only to be disappointed with VICTORY BROTHERS. I have had 3 service calls and no one showed up, and no calls to let me know they were not coming. I have asked for the owner to call me, I have written him letters and NO RESPONSE.
Do yourself a favor find someone who cares about their customers obviously VICTORY BROTHERS does not!
Extremely disappointed.
I rarely write reviews online, but I feel compelled to write about my terrific experience with Victory Brothers. My wife and I decided to install central air conditioning and a new furnace in the garden apartment in our brownstone in Park Slope, so I asked four HVAC contractors for estimates. The first two came and griped about how hard it is to work with brownstones, and I never heard from them again. The other two, including Ray Victory, spent a lot of time evaluating strategies for installing systems in our house and came back with estimates.
One complication in our case was that we needed a new cold air return for the heating system in the other apartment (above ours) and that meant running a large duct in an obtrusive soffit through our apartment, something we were very unhappy about. Ray Victory, however, devised an extremely clever solution which required no ductwork (and thus no soffit) in our apartment. In general, Ray and his installers know brownstones well and they developed and implemented strategies which were efficient and unobtrusive. They were able , for example, to consolidate ductwork in the basement so that we picked up about a foot of additional headroom, an unexpected benefit.
Ray's price was about a third less than the other contractor's price, so we went with Victory Brothers. The installation was done flawlessly and it was a pleasure to work with Ray and his men. Brownstones are indeed difficult to work with and unexpected problems cropped up during the installation, but in every instance Ray's men were patient, explored options, and developed effective solutions. Installing the cold air return was especially difficult, but Mo, Ray's chief installer, worked on it for two days and was able to install ductwork that was almost entirely hidden.
In general, Ray is very responsive to customer needs. For example, because the compressor needed to be in the backyard (not on the roof), we were concerned about noise that might bother us and our neighbors. Ray understood our concerns and, after quite a bit of research, found a compressor that is exceptionally quiet. His subs - plumbers and electricians - were a pleasure to work with, the men explained everything they did, and they cleaned up after every stage of the installation. Ray was onsite often to oversee the work.
I have owned my brownstone for over three decades and I have had a lot of work done during those years. Rarely have I worked with a contractor of any kind as thorough, competent, and professional as Ray Victory. He is smart, honest, and conscientious, a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Victory Brothers.
