Finally a plumber that solved the water heater overflow valve (2 other attempts failed)... also we had an emergency water leak and once contained a Victor James plumber was there first thing in the morning, not to mention Denise took our emergency call from the expressway (after pulling off). Can't recommend them enough!

If you'd like to pay literally hundreds of dollars more for the same, high-quality plumbing service, call one of the other 4.5- to 5-star companies on Yelp with more than 40 reviews. If you'd like excellent customer service and plumbing work at a fair and reasonable price, call these guys.

Denise, who handled all of the phone communication, is outstanding. A great listener who took on our problem as if it were her own. Thank you, Denise! Bill, who changed our corroded water line valves, was friendly, down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and efficient. No B.S. from anyone at this company.

Other local plumbing companies? Quoted $698 (vs $423 with Victor James Plumbing) for replacing two water line valves. Quoted $523 (vs $244 with Victor James Plumbing) for replacing one water line valve. Note that they wanted to charge MORE THAN DOUBLE what Victor James Plumbing quoted!! One guy wanted to charge $150 just for coming out for the estimate (vs $65 service visit fee for Victor James Plumbing).

I find it sad that, because we customers can't always know what a fair market price for services is, some companies will price gouge us without a second thought. I'm glad that there are still honest folks out there like Victor James Plumbing who can do great work with integrity and still make a profit at a reasonable cost to working families.

called Victor James to come to my house to look at my hot water heater. They came and looked at it and told me it needed to be replace. there estimate for the cost was $800.00 dollars more than the other estimate I received from another plumber. Needless to say I went with the other plumber. They did a great job and I saved $800.00
So I would highly recommend that if you have a big job that needs to be done, do yourself a favor and call somebody else. there are many good plumbers out there and you will save a lot of money.

We've used Victor James a few times now, sometimes with advanced notice and once for an urgent repair. They are reliable and responsive and have done great work for us. They will continue to get our business!

Horrible when he thinks he can scam you. Tried to bill my elderly parents $1000+ for a plumbing job that took my uncle 5 min to do. Tried to add on a ton of unnecessary work as well for more.

Maybe he does well when he thinks you're not a dummy, but hey, not us.

This plumbing company is extremely unethical. My husband and I called them to take care of an issue at a family member's house. The guy they sent out didn't seem to know what he was doing (he took way over the time that another company took doing the same exact thing a few years ago), then he broke a piece off of his tool into a pipe. He spent over an hour trying to get the piece out, saying that he had to rip up a toilet to work in the issue that we originally called for.

Then he had someone else come out who was supposedly there to help get his broken piece out, but this guy came into the house WITHOUT A MASK on, in the middle of the pandemic. My husband gave him a mask to put on, and the guy claimed he didn't put one on because he didn't think anyone would be in the house.

When the original plumber was finally done, he tried to way overcharge us because he spent all that time trying to get his own part out of the pipe. He then lied and said that the second guy who came got the part out of the pipe but he didn't have it with him to show us because the second guy left. The original plumber then said that we needed to call some other company to fix the originally problem which he claimed he could not fix (yet still charged us over $400 for).

We looked at their site later and Victor James Plumbing claims they do do this particular service on their site. He also did not reattach the toilet he ripped up properly and it no longer works.

We had to call Roto Rooter to fix the original problem and while the guy was here he confirmed that the part that Victor James Plumbing broke off is still in this pipe and the only way to get it out is to rip up the ground and replace it which will cost thousands of dollars.

DO NOT USE VICTOR JAMES. I wish I had seen some of the other negative reviews about this company before calling them. We would have never used them.

My heat was not working so I called Victor James, Vic came out the next day and was very knowledgeable and fixed the issue quickly and the prices were very fair and quoted before repairs were done. I Highly recommend this company for your heating & plumbing needs.

We have used Victor James multiple times for various plumbing jobs and they have always provided great work at a great price.

The most recent job led to me writing this review. We were having guests over for the first time since Covid began. A day before the arrival we noticed a sewer gas smell coming from our basement. I called with hopes they could come quickly, and luckily they could make it happen. Vic arrived and began troubleshooting the issue. He took care of the problem quickly and the price was very fair. Had they not have quickly made it out to us, our hosting would have stunk (pun intended) for the man cave unveiling.
