Keith Zierk, Owner
“Having trained in plumbing as a Sea Bee in the Navy, I used the GI Bill to advance my education when I returned to civilian life. I felt a strong commitment to give back to the VA for what they provided me, and I recognized that a career as a professional plumber would be lucrative enough to support that. I decided to establish a business that would benefit not just me, but also my customers, my community, and my fellow veterans.

So we hired V4U plumbing last January when our system crashed. Origanally it was to be a $16K job with 2 bathroom demps in a 10 unit apartment building in University Heights. Well, the system was from the 50's and toast. So the job turned into a $94K job with tennants relocated for 2 months. Rod and his crew did a good job and had to fight mother nature and her rain last spring. He told the owener, ""All your pipes will be new and you will never have plumbing problems again!"" That is why she said yes to what needed to be done.
Well, the guy in unit #6 moved out and I go in there to find the tub drain was never done...and the shut off valve for the toilet was never done.
I call V4UP and talk to the owner and Rod calls me back and straight up lies to me. He says the owner said not to do that unit. I called her and she very quickly made it clear he had lied to me. They were burnt out from a 3 month job, driving from O'side to SD proper, and the problems with such a crazy big job, that they intentionally decided to cheat us out of what we paid for.
I mean, the walls were open, to replace that tub drain would have been easy and cheap while we had drywall people and painting people here.
Everything was good, until is wasn't, and I feel betrayed by V4UP

I now have a plumber in here to replace the shut off valve on the toilet before the new tenant moves in today. I feel better warning you all and speaking my truth. Thanks for listening.

Excellent service! Here we are in the middle of COVID19 and we have a slab leak! We were fortunate to have found Rod from VETS 4 YOU PLUMBING. He came out right away. I did my research on slab leak repair. It was clearly evident that Rod's knowledge of plumbing repair is extensive. Rod assessed the problem. We had to have the plumbing re-routed. For some time my husband and I had been discussing the replacement of the hot water heater. It was over 12 years old. The shut off valve was frozen. Rod not only replaced our hot water heater he also reconfigured the pipes that were a mess (from a previous plumbing job when we moved the washer to the garage). While he was here he also replaced a part of the pipe for an outdoor water spigot that was a mess of pipe and plastic. Rod is the kind of person who believes in doing things correctly. We are beyond grateful!

Hi all.. I had Vets 4 You come out and set up a new faucet and disposal. Had a new counter put in. Robert from the company came out and did an outstanding job. Not only was he professional in his duties he was also very kind and diligent in cleaning up.
Weeks later I had a small issue and I called be them for help. Robert was out in an hour and tended to it. Thank you Vets 4 You for all that you do and are.

I was out of town for 3 days, and when I got home Monday night my furnace was not working and my house was cold. I called Vets 4 You first thing the next morning, and they sent Robert to my house by about 9 am. Robert diagnosed the problem right away, told me what it would cost to fix it, went and got the part, and came back and fixed the furnace. And my house was soon warm. Thank you, Vets4You!
I also used Vets 4 You several years ago to put in a new HVAC system, and a Daikon heater/cooler, and change my incoming water pipes from under the slab to through the attic. They did an excellent job, for a good price. A county inspector even made a point to tell me that the work was well done.

My Wife and I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically endorse and recommend Vets4You Plumbing Heating & Air!

Rod Russell made himself available to us at our convenience (which, if memory serves, was on Sunday) to come out and identify the nature and severity of a leak that had *tripled* our water bill. He was very friendly, likeable, enthusiastic, and professional. My wife was very much impressed by his personality and professionalism, and as a fellow Marine Corps veteran he and I had that instant rapport that only genuine esprit de corps can generate, and he won our business right then and there. We were able to set an appointment to get the work done for the following Wednesday morning.

Rod Russel and James Dean arrived early, after sending an ETA text message to confirm, and immediately got to work. They worked swiftly and confidently and managed to locate the pipes that needed to be isolated while making minimal incursions in the drywall...especially considering the remarkably difficult and bafflingly inconvenient location of the piping in the forced air heating intake/return box in the garage. They laid down covers on our floors to prevent any scuffs/damage and cleaned everything up before they left.

In addition to the necessary repair, Rod identified that the feed line to the water heater had the wrong kind of valve and that the connection to the water heater was non-standard. He could've ignored it (I already knew that the valve and connection was improper, my Father having been a Home Builder and had experience with plumbing) but he said, and I quote, ""...I cannot in good conscious leave that, give me a few more minutes and I'll make it right..."" and he did.

Now I had been informed beforehand that they do not perform the drywall repairs, however they do have a relationship with a business that does great work and the owner of that business came out personally to review what would need to be done and was able to quote a price before everything had even been packed up.

My wife and I are very much pleased that all of the repairs were completed quickly and are very much satisfied with the results.

Thanks again, Rod & James. Ooh Rah, and Semper Fidelis!

The freezing mornings and nights were getting to be far too much and it was time. Jim came to our house on short notice to help us light our pilot light as it was acting up. For Jim, it was an easy fix and he even walked us through how to relight it in the future if it was giving us issues. In minutes he was finished up and we asked how much we owed him... His response, ""Merry Christmas, and enjoy the warmth."" We can't thank Jim enough for taking the time to help us!

When your water heater decides to retire, you have 3 women in the house, and it is Sunday evening you have a problem. Received a call back within 1 hour, it was decided to wait until Monday morning to start the process. Manager showed up before 10am, went through the entire house, checked every valve, pressure regulator and of course the retired water heater. When the handle comes off a water valve under a sink, you have a situation that can cause a major problem in the future. We decided to have all the valves and the Water heater replaced, how soon, same day!! Three plumbers show up at 2 PM to complete all the work, fired up the water heater, cleaned up all the areas and were headed home before 7 PM. Excellent Work, Excellent Customer Service from management through the plumber in the field.

I'm doing this review for my mother. This is what she said.
I can't help but comment on what a pleasure it was to meet Rod Russell and have him sent as out plumber. I was so impressed with his friendly, likeable, welcoming and cheerful personality and along with the gratitude he showed to be able to do our work. I couldn't help but believe he would do an excellent job and enjoy it too. Wow, he was outstanding!

Called and had them check out heating unit. They said needed a part and would get back to ya. Never heard back after a week called them no answers, tech won't call us. Horrible service horrible customer attitude. Save your money for someone that appreciates their paying customers these guys will leave in in the road to be hit by a car. Plus look up their deceptive billing practices on Better Business Bureau!

HI. I Wish everybody would be as professional and great as Jim. We contracted with Vets 4 You to install a faucet in the bathroom. Jim arrived with all the tools necessary to do the job. He is from the old school meaning he is honest and hard working who doesn't overcharge like some others do. I will always call Vets 4 You when I need a plumber and ask for Jim. He is one of the best.
