A Veteran Air tech did some work on my AC system. Nothing too complicated. While I was distracted, the tech larded up the bill with 3 warranties and a membership, for the sum of $826.80, none of which I asked for or offered. I made a mistake and paid by check, instead of a credit card, so I can't take it up with the bank, but I will take it up with the Florida Department of Commerce. Stay away from Veteran Air.

I just bought a condo in Venice and needed a few small jobs done. Nothing significant or difficult, I just didn't want to do it myself given that I had just bought a condo. The jobs requested: replace a sink stopper in a bathroom, snake a shower drain, and free a stuck garbage disposal. The first thing the tech did was ask to see the water heater. I was confused and asked why since I wasn't having any hot water issues. I also told him I just bought the place and know the age of the water heater and that it didn't need replaced. He was very pushy and insisted but I didn't pack down. Finally I was able to get him to look at the garbage disposal. He made a very cursory effort to unstick it with the tool. He was not successful. He then tried to sell me a new garbage disposal. Then he looked at the drain and said it doesn't need to be snaked. Last, he looked at the sink stopper. He quoted me $432 (!!!!!) to replace a stopper. By this point I realized that he had no integrity and was trying to rip me off. I didn't even ask to see the rest of his quotes knowing they'd be astronomically expensive. I begrudgingly paid the service fee in spite of his unethical behavior of obviously just trying to sell unneeded work at ridiculously inflated prices. The following day I bought a sink stopper and plumber's putty at Lowe's for about $12 total replaced it in about 45 minutes. That was a savings of about $420. I also bought PB Blaster and a garbage disposal tool. The disposal freed up immediately. That repair cost me about $10 but he wanted to sell me a new disposal. Lastly, I bought a small snake and snaked the line and it's draining perfect. Do not use this place unless you want a massive upsell of unneeded work at inflated prices. These people have no integrity.

Veteran Air was purchased by another company and has gone down hill rapidly. Post Hurricane Milton, they started charging abusive prices, and are impossible to deal with. They won't provide estimates or invoices insurance companies will accept. They are impossible to reach by phone, and do not return calls. These guys should not be in business, period. This is a sad situation, but don't let yourself be caught trying to recover from a hurricane. They do more harm than good. I will never use them again for anything.

Before they were bought out they were, in my opinion excellent. I had a maintenance scheduled. The technician showed up but in his defense it was pouring rain. He stated he had to wait 15 min. To see if it stopped. Understood, so after the 15 min he couldn't complete the job and left. When I called to make a new appointment they stated that the tech told them he completed the job. Big lie. I rescheduled, sat around for 4 hrs. They never showed. Called the company and was then told I never had an appointment. Well I guess it's time to sue them as I pre pay for service and because their technician lied it cost me my pre pay. What a rip off. After reading all the bad reviews I understand what this company is all about. Rip people off.

I have a store front in a shopping plaza and have been using Veteran Air for over 10 years. The company has been bought out by another company over a year ago and everything went down south ever since. My landlord took these pictures and showed them to me as the air conditioner is a very expensive roof unit. I called Veteran Air with a complaint. They said a manager will call me back. I have yet heard from that manager. Later that same day, my unit did not work, so I called Veteran Air again to come out to fix the unit and reinstall all the panels they left off last visit since January which dangerously exposing electrical wirings. They said I have to pay them $300 for a technician to come out! I have a service contract agreement with them and they do this to me. I called Cool Today, and they came out within 3 hours, got my air running and a new contract with me. I will get with the owner of the building to assess any damages and will file a lawsuit if deemed necessary. We have spoken about the problems with our customers, and many have complained about how terrible Veteran Air services have been recently.. Beware!
