Company Overview

Our team provides thorough maintenance for cooling systems, cooling units, air conditioner replacement, and furnaces in Bradenton. A leading Sarasota AC repair business, we serve homeowners from Parrish to Parrish. Our pricing is affordable rates. Here at Veteran Air, we value providing with honor and dedication. Additionally partner with community organizations.

Frequently, people ask us, “How did you choose Veteran Air derive from?” Here’s the background.

Within both background, my lineage has a rich history of dedicating themselves to our country. My father was a dedicated American with a generational legacy. His father and brothers were enlisted in our military. As I was raised, he instilled values of honor, kindness, and compassion. Continuing my heritage, I enlisted in the armed forces and served in the 11th Armored Division as a combat medic.

Currently, my child Joseph serves in the 101st Airborne Division at Ft. Campbell.

As I built my business, I focused on supporting veterans, law enforcement, fire service, and first responders. They deserve it, and I will forever provide them a bit more, just as they did for our country.

For the past two decades in the air conditioning industry, I found that I enjoyed the time I shared with the elderly in our neighborhood, especially those who fought our nation in foreign wars. Their experiences would keep me in their homes long after I finished the maintenance of their cooling equipment, and I discovered myself lowering the services I delivered them and going the extra mile, as though I felt a debt of gratitude.

As my career progressed, I continued on helping veterans, police, emergency responders, and emergency personnel. They deserve it, and I will consistently provide them a special consideration, just as they did for our country.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They low-balled me on a competitive bid to """"replace my existing"""" 2 ton A/C system. I didn't realize they were low-balling me so their low price won the bid. On the day of installation I watched them unload the equipment and said to the tech doing the install that this A/C compressor seem a lot smaller than my existing system's compressor. The tech explained that was because this new system was not a heat pump system like my existing one. I told the installer to hold off and called the company. They told me that I didn't need a heat pump for a bedroom. I explained that it was not for a bedroom, it was a large mother-in-law suite that I use as an office every day. And that I wanted a replacement for my existing system not something different. We went round and round and they finally replaced it with a heat pump compressor for the same price that they bid. When the tech walked me through my new air handler I learned that the filter size for my new air handler was smaller than the one being replaced. The tech explained that was because the new air handler was a 2 ton unit and the one being replaced was a 2 1/2 ton one. Again I called the company. They said that the 2 ton air handler was a match for the 2 ton compressor. I explained that the 2 1/2 ton air handler was because of the size of my office and the large windows with direct sunlight. I repeated that I wanted the existing air handler replaced, not a smaller one. They refused to replace it with a 2 1/2 ton unit unless I paid them an additional $2,500. I did some research and found that the difference in price between a 2 ton unit and a 2 1/2 ton unit was approximately $220, not $2,500 In summary, they low balled me to win a competitive bid and then tried to up-charge me by an additional $2,270, instead of $270, for the correct air handler replacement. At no time did they admit that they low-balled me or made a mistake. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

I have been with Veteran Air for 9 years and they were good until they were bought out now I was put on the back burner for just maintenance. My Schedule was May and November, they couldn't get me in until July then I had another appt for Nov 1 he got delayed said he'll be there later in the afternoon or make another appt which would have been in January. I cancelled and told my husband to not let him in if he shows which he did. Received an email the next day that I would have been charged for that visit which I paid for in advance under my old contract. I made an appt with another company. Veteran Air is not to be trusted, they lost my trust this past year.

My original review was only 2 stars because I was not happy with the overall pricing and a lack of communication by the tech. However, once the company became aware of my dissatisfaction they contacted me and worked with me to make me comfortable with being able to recommend them to others for A/C service.

I had been using Veteran Air for several years and been satisfied until the morning I called them when my 3 year old Trane unit stopped working. I was informed they could not come out for 6 days. This was in our hot month of August. They told me they were just too busy, but I needed to know that when they would come out there might be a charge. They also informed me that my maintenance contract expired 10 days ago. I said I was never informed of the renewal, which I renewed during that phone call. After figuring out my drain line problem, I called Veteran Air back, only able to leave a voicemail and wait again. When they finally called back, I cancelled my service call and my maintenance contract and told them their service has gone down hill in the last 1-2 years. I would no longer need their lack of service in the future. I have since learned that many of my neighbors on our shared website have experienced similar problems with Veteran Air. What has happened to your company??

Eugene and Maciej were quick, efficient, knowledgeable, professional, extremely talented, neat, organized and the top plumbers in town. Thanks guys! Thank you Danny, Ricki and staff for coming to our aid immediately when we called Veteran Air. Then finding a quick solution to workout our major plumbing and sewer issue during our handicap rollin shower installation. We can't thank you all enough! Thank you Veteran Air!

Honest they are not. Got a $4400 bill for small repair and they are charging me a maintenance fee of $249 which I cannot get reversed. They are not transparent with their costs and not to mention overpriced. They are big into pushing you get a new unit. My unit is 9 years old. It does not need to be replaced. Not to mention the technician was creepy as hell and had to use my bathroom and my sink. I did not like him in the house. BEWARE!!!

Horrible, expensive experience!! One star only because there is no zero star I bought a Trane 5 ton package unit from Veteran Air in July, 2024 to replace an older 5 ton unit. Veteran Air assured me it was the right size for the house. It was HUGE! 50% larger than the unit it replaced. And LOUD! Sounded like someone was hitting it with a rubber mallet each time it went on and off. Which it did frequently. On, off--on, off--on, off. Veteran Air sent several techs out to check the unit. Each assured me it was working as it was supposed to. But that wasn't the problem. The problem was that it was too BIG for the house. An A/C that is too big can do real moisture damage to a house and cause electric bills to soar considerably. The company would not refund my money. I had signed """"Pay in it off within a year with no interest"""" contract. So Veteran Air already had their money from the lending company and had no interest in doing the right thing. The brand new,too big unit is now being replaced with a smaller split unit. And I am stuck with a Trane 5 ton pkg unit with a 10 year manufacturer's warranty. What the heck am I supposed to do with it? To complete this fiasco, the thermostat installation was awful. The tech drilled 2 gashes through the wall of the adjoining room and then drilled a 1"""" hole into the 3/4 """" solid oak floor. Veteran Air """"fixed"""" it mess. A tech plastered the gashes (didn't paint though) and filled the hole in the floor with SPRAY FOAM! Veteran Air was bought out a few years ago by Apex Holdings in Tampa and their reputation has declined significantly since then. Wish I'd known earlier. Don't trust this company no matter how pleasant the techs seem to be. And forget ever talking to a manager, they are always in a meeting! It seems to be all about the Bottom Line now.

We had the worst experience with this company. A technician, """"J"""" came out to give us an estimate for installation of a whole-house generator which we need to run medical equipment. We received the estimate promptly and accepted shortly thereafter. """"J"""" came out to do the installation but immediately said he felt awful and was going to the hospital. He was out of work for more than several weeks. They sent a different installer who could not figure out how """"J"""" planned to do the work so he left. No one contacted us despite my phone calls and messages left for the scheduling manager. Finally we did get a phone call to say """"J"""" would be out to do the work. """"J"""" did not show up and no one called us. I called them only to find out that """"J"""" had taken his family away due to the impending hurricane. While that is understandable the scheduling manager could not/would not send someone else out to do the work despite our need to run medical equipment in the event of a power outage. The lack of communication and customer service is appalling.

In December my husband purchased a new AC system to replace our old, dependable unit of 20 years. Other than maintenance it never needed service or stopped cooling. We waited to replace it until the compressor gave out because we always heard the new units are just not as reliable as the old ones. And they were right! We had a new unit put in in December, it wasn't challenged to cool until April/May. It stopped cooling completely over Memorial weekend because it needed a new compressor after only 5 months; and we were without air for 5 days! The service tech, Jade, went back to the shop and got a portable unit that was a lifesaver! After 5 days the unit was up an running again. About 3 weeks later I had them come out again because it just wasn't cooling adequately. Now it's the weekend of the 4th of July and it is not cooling at all. it's set at 74 and it's 79/80 in our condo. Their coming out tomorrow. Our FPL bill has not been reduced by this new unit, even in the early spring. To be continued. The star is for the service technician
