Big thank you to Venture Plumbing for replacing our water heater. We called on Wednesday afternoon they said they would have someone available the next morning. The plumber was respectful and knowledgeable. Hopefully I won't need a plumber anytime soon, but if I do I know who will be my first call!

Ms. Norah's professionalism, promptness and due diligence was the reason I was thrilled to give business to this plumber subcontracting company. Technician by approach was trustable on the knowledge, experience of problem fixing. The shower drain flow was improved by replacing drain pipe, not by unclogging with the snake machine. Although lack of paper work, procedural things and sales rush by technician caused over pricing. First job was to unclogg two adajcent showers and do full interior camera investigation of whole house drain system. This interior camera inspection was not done for the whole house, external visual check was done and unclogging with snake was not successful as presented. Alternatively, second job, was to replace the drain pipe. Technician said it was full day job, he left in 4 hours(including homedepot visit), as something else was added to his workday list. Due to his sudden rush and possible greed, lack of ethical paper work and clarity of two separate estimates, I ended up paying for both camerainspection-unclogging and drain pipe replacement too. It costed me double the price of mid-point San Francisco bay area price. My humanly trust was mislead, by the lack of paper work, thorough review and hidden intent, ideally unclogging-camerainspection shouldn't have been charged, as nominal diagnosis+estimate fee was already paid in advance for the visit. Thanks to Norah for her superior service in scheduling and coordination. Rating is based on thoroughness of paper work and the technical job, pricing, integrity.

Norah is great! She is very responsive to my plumbing issue and is able to get a plumber to look at my toilet leak problem almost at the same day when there's an issue. Paul, the plumber helped me with the toilet leak twice. He is super reliable and get to the root cause of the issue. I am confortable leaving the keys to him and let him do what he needs to fix the toilet leak at my rental property. Although cost of fix is not as cheap as compared with some other service, but the responsiveness and reliability is something I would pay for.

We felt in the loop the entire time and processes were explained simply and thoroughly. There is a custom, among tradespeople, of expressing their lack of desire to work with you by quoting an absurdly high price. I guess it avoids confrontation, or eases the pain of rejection, or one could even use it to conceal discriminatory practices which would otherwise be illegal (race, gender, that sort of thing). In this case, I suppose it was only that we are too far away. Fair enough. Derek could have just said ""no"". Instead, he bid nearly $5000 to swap out a broken water heater, providing only the details that the water heater was $2250 ($477 at Home Depot) and the rest was labor. And now he wants his $49 for submitting this ""bid"". I don't know that a court would find this to be acting in good faith; I'm not really in the mood to fight over $50. A local plumber did the job for $1250.

My review got lost somehow. I had a great experience with Venture. They were very prompt, courteous and communicated all the potential problems very well. I appreciated the extra time taken explaining the work being done. The work on the exterior tap and pipe looked great.

It was a simply perfect job and costed me less than half comparing to other quotes that I received from plumbers via Yelp. It's definitely the best in terms of cost/benefit for Mountain View.
