I have used Ventura Plumbing several times. The first time John, the plumber came and snaked/cleared a badly clogged sink (post construction was filled with paint and other debris.) He came another time when we had a leak coming from one of the upstairs baths. He thoroughly did several diagnostic tests and figured out what the issue was. Another time, there was an odor coming from the mud sink in the basement, and John saw right away that the ""trap"" was missing and replaced it for us and added a vent. We also hired them to service our boiler. Every time we called, we have been able to get an appointment promptly and John has always been courteous, prompt and knowledgeable (answered all of my questions.) They are very reasonably priced. Great experience! We are customers for life and have recommended them to many friends.

I can't say enough good things about Ventura Plumbing. My wife and I were looking for a honest and upright professional whose business model is not based on up charging customers for general plumbing/heating services or getting us to sign up for ""VIP"" plumbing subscription services. We wanted a smaller local company that did not route our calls from department to department. They were punctual, professional and polite throughout the process. The service technician discovered a faulty valve when completing the annual servicing of our water heater. We had also used them to unclog our kitchen sink and investigate a small leak in our living room. They were able to make an accurate diagnosis of our plumbing issues which were quickly resolved within a 24 hour time period and at a reasonable price. I fully intend to use them for plumbing and heating services in the future. If you are looking for a trust worthy plumber/heating service professional, look no further than Ventura.

We have used Ventura a couple of times for plumbing repairs in our 70+ year-old house, and have been very pleased with their prompt and friendly service in setting up an appointment, and then with the quality of the work and fair pricing.
[NOTE: I have changed by earlier 4-start rating to 5 stars. In an earlier version of this review, I wrote about not being able to reach Ventura by telephone after several tries. It turned out this was due to a temporary glitch in local telephone service. But the next day, my call went through, and was answered by Donna at the Ventura office in her usual friendly way. She made an appointment for a plumber to come today, and gave a 2-hour range.

I would gladly use Ventura again. Good work. Good people.

Had a great experience with Ventura Plumbing. The plumber, Dan, was nice and pro and was in it to win it. His work looks clean. A good attitude is everything to me. Being new to home ownership it feels great to have someone who's giving it to you straight and is easy to deal with.

My bathroom was flooded, and my ceiling was literally leaking in two different rooms. John came over within 1/2 hour of my calling and put me at ease with the whole situation. If you've never had this happen to you, it's super scary. I felt like the ceiling was going to cave in. He was super nice and didn't do anything unnecessary to ""price gauge"" me. It was such a good experience.

I have used them several times for leaks in my plumbing and they are very fast to respond and fix the problem. They always clean up any mess they have made and always put cloths down when doing work. One time I thought it was a pipe leaking and they discovered it was coming from a cracked shower pan. They didn't charge me to look at the problem and gave me recommendations on how to fix the problem temporarily until I could get a tile person in to fix the problem under the tile. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber!

My real estate broker recommended them - they use Ventura a lot for Port Washington and Manhasset work. They helped us twice - once I needed a service Ventura didn't perform - they actually took the time to discuss it with me, double check the answer and call me back with the referral, who was very reasonably priced and helped us out in time to respond to our buyer's question. It seemed awfully nice for a job they were not going to make any money., as it took them a few calls and they were very patient and made sure they had the right answer (another plumber I had called told me the wrong thing.). Then just today, I ran into an issue before our walk through and called them up for an emergency. They were able to fit me in on the same day, charged a very reasonable price, did the work very well (I thought they would have to cut into my house siding and they did not - it was done very neatly) and quickly. Whoever the woman is who answers calls is very pleasant to deal with and just seems very bright and helpful. The plumber Jose also was very pleasant to deal with.
