I diagnosed the problem and then called them to come replace a capacitor. service guy came out, took 5 minutes and handed me bill for $225.00, when I questioned him he stated the a/c unit is shot and I'm lucky he's not charging for a roof charge , he took a elevator to roof ! I have paid $125 before for the same thing but this was ridiculous @ $125 for part, its on eBay for $24 w/free shipping. I went on roof to get the part number off the capacitor and one of the wires had a thread of wire connected to the clip, you would think that he would have put a new clip on the wire so it would not burn out this coming summer but he left it and today I fixed it, imagine that, 5 min $225 charge and he could not spend an extra 5 minutes, that's how long it took me, to fix it. I would never use them or refer them to anyone, never, ever. They think they are God and they were doing me a big favor. Just disgusting.

They did decent work but I have some serious issues that will make me look elsewhere for service in the future. They wanted $1,350 up front to do """"warranty"""" repair work. I was not given the option to pay after the work was completed. I challenged the service manager on this and he said I should have been given the option, but I was not. They also did not inform me that all labor and other charges related to warranty work were not part of the warranty. So I had to eat the entire bill. They could have told me that the original installer would have covered this work, but they chose not to. This is a shady company. All of Plantation will be warned.

Absolutely first rate experience. After 40 years in the building business, I am a pretty good judge of service companies, and their field techs. The scheduling was easy and polite. We received an email update that included the tech's name and picture, time of arrival well, as a personal tidbit, thus allowing for a little personal interaction. Our tech, Mark, was on time, friendly and a good communicator. I explained the issue, and he went to work. In very short order, Mark identified an electrical problem, explained it to me clearly, and gave me a quote on the repair. A bit later he came to me with another piece of the electrical system that was not up to par - likely due to the first issue. Same routine as twenty minutes before. I approved both pieces of work, and Mark went right to it. Maybe twenty minutes later we had reviewed the work together, Mark answered a few more """"option"""" questions, and I wrote the check. I can recommend VC&H without reservation- and I do so.

We've been customers of Venice cooling and heating for seven years . They came by to do their annual maintenance and noticed a small leak in the evaporating coil . luckily, for us, the part was under warranty . We would have to only pay for the labor to put it in, which would only take about 3 to 4 hours . They quoted us $2700 to put it in and when I questioned this amount, they said that they had to bring in special equipment and it was a very detailed install . They also wanted us to pay the money upfront before they did any work which I thought to be very odd . I decided to reach out to another local company not even telling him what was wrong with the AC and they discovered the same same problem . they ordered the part and installed it the next day for $800 . . have a good day

We've used Venice Cooling & Heating for our semi-annual maintenance contract since moving into our home in 2009. They always do a thorough job and are quite knowledgeable. When a pressure valve started making noise a few years ago, they could have tried to sell us costly replacement parts or a new system. Instead, they educated us about it - it wasn't hurting the system - that was more than 2 years ago. We were able to wait to replace our, now 13 year old unit this year with a much higher seer unit for less than we expected. (Very important for those of us on a fixed budget.) Josh even got us an additional rebate! We are very happy we did this. So far, our electric bills have decreased as much as $50 per month compared to last year!!! As expected, the installers were polite, professional - answered our questions easily - and cleaned up after themselves! This is an EXTREMELY reliable and HONEST company! My husband has lived in this area for more than 50 years and has dealt with several other companies. He wished he'd had Venice Cooling & Heating from the start!
