The best handyman ever! We had Bakari come out on two different days to tackle projects around our house. He did a fantastic job on repairing drywall, painting, electrical, replacing a screen, fixed blind cord anchors, repairing our gate and more. Could not recommend him more highly.

Bakari knocked off all 8 items on my fix-it list in under 8 hours, from a new light switch, to front door adjustments, caulking, weather-stripping, baseboard repair, etc. He worked hard and fast and seemed to be one of these rare people who can look at something and immediately figure out how it's supposed to work and how the parts are supposed to interact. Best of all, he had good ideas about what would look best and what type of product would work best for a specific task. If you want a top notch handyman who's also smart and personable, he's your man.

After almost seven years (see previous review), we had Bakari help us again with a series of problems. And like seven years ago, he was great: repaired broken Roman shades, replaced an awkwardly installed faucet and addressed a leak on another, helped to figure out how to replace (or not quite replace) old ceiling lights, fixed a sliding door, and helped with a bunch of other things. In a single day, charging a super generous hourly rate. I recommend him without any reservations.

Bakari has plowed through my never ending to-do lists of large and small household repairs and improvements and it's some of the best money I've ever spent. In a world where the help you pay for isn't always that helpful, Bakari is a breath of fresh air. He takes care of problems instead of leaving me with new ones, and the cost is quite reasonable and never leaves me in shock. Example: I wanted a new heating duct from the furnace. The plumber who replaced my furnace wanted $700 for this. For $500 Bakari did that job plus several other items that were in my to do list that day. I have no qualms having him in my house; he is respectful, unobtrusive, and trustworthy.

This Veggie powered handyman is a treasure. We haven't found anything that he can't do well.
He is a very competent, gifted, and conscientious very handy man, who knows his stuff. I hesitate to share my handyman in the fear that he will become too busy, and hence unavailable, but taking a chance that it will help my neighbors and Bakari, I will wholeheartedly recommend his services. He is bright perspicacious, courteous, listens very well, careful, wise, and hard-working. I say that as a licensed construction worker in the trade for over 40 years (but now completely retired). A man for all seasons and a blessing.

Our front porch had, we thought, a few boards that had dry rot and needed replacement. The evening before Bakari came we moved the plants and stuff off the porch and we could see the dry rot had done more damage than we'd thought. When Bakari tested each board we found the whole porch, basically, needed to be rebuilt. Bakari just went right to work and by the end of the day he had built us a new porch, alone! After that big job, he then fixed a problem we had on our back deck. He is efficient, knowledgeable, thorough, scrupulously honest, and always pleasant. He also gave us a lot of good advice. Bakari is outstanding!
