DO NOT CONTRACT VANGUARD PLUMBING FOR LEAK INSPECTIONS

Our condo association contracted Vanguard Plumbing for inspecting a leak in our condo building a few weeks back. They charge close to $2000 for a leak inspection visit (10 times higher than average leak inspection) and came to the conclusion that our unit is solely responsible for the leak with no visual evidence. No photo or video evidence identifying the leak is indeed from our unit. The inspection report is merely one sentence. Based on Vanguard's inspection, we ripped our bathroom open to expose the pipes that Vanguard has deemed to be the origin of the leak and asked them to come back on site to find the actual leak. Their response is they are actually not sure where the leak is because they cannot see through walls. And they will not follow through with previous inspection result and actually find the leak. So what are we paying close to $2000 for? A guess? At this point Vanguard is liable for their inspection result and need to follow through with evidence of actually finding and fixing the leak. If you don't want to pay $2000 for inspecting a leak and not actually finding the problem, DO NOT USE VANGUARD.

I know their business have a lot of good reviews from various plumbing work. I'm providing this perspective on their inspection service.

I had my faucet replaced, and a valve replaced under the faucet.

Jan was great at explaining the problem and service, despite not having seen the faucet. I explained the issue and he knew what to do and recommend. The team showed up at 8:00 AM, wore masks, were very friendly and got to work. They finished the job quickly and efficiently, and stayed within the scope and quote price. They even insisted on cleaning up even though I said it didn't matter and they didn't need to.

On the recommendation of my neighbor who also had Vanguard resolve their sewer issue, we hired them to diagnose a leaking basement and inspect the sewer line to ensure that was not a factor. The two crew that showed up clearly knew their work, and helped uncover the sewer line to do the camera inspection. While the sewer line checked out good, they also helpfully pointed out an issue with the ejector pump that could have been a worse issue had they not taken the initiative to check it out. Even though they had other jobs that afternoon, the crew kindly offered to resolve the ejector pump installation issue (which was installed before we purchased the house) and the owner pointed out where we could go to resolve the unrelated concrete issue with the basement. Will definitely use again should we have another plumbing issue in future.
