I called Jan because I had a leaky shower and wanted to change my shower heard. He was very responsive and made things very easy. First, he was able to diagnose the issue through a video call, which saved us both time from him having to come out and me having to carve out a date where I could stay at home. In addition, when his team came to do the work, they agreed to help install another shower head for me even though it was not part of the original scope of work. Overall, this was a great experience and I recommend Vanguard to anyone who needs quick and stellar work.

When I first reached out to Jan about a new sump pump and backup install he requested pictures so he can accurately provide an estimate. I loved this because it allowed me to get an idea of what I am going to need to invest without wasting any time having someone come to my house. Within minutes I had an estimate emailed to me.

After deciding to go with Vanguard his team showed up a day later and they did an amazing job and they were extremely professional.

This is where Vanguard took it to the next level with customer services and support. After spending a small fortune on this new sump pump system the alarms were going off more than what I would expect. Jan immediately took charge of the situation and worked with the manufacture to have my system upgraded due to a small defect. A few days later he was over to install the upgraded system.

We thought our issues were over but the story doesn't end here. We had a different alarm going off after the upgraded was installed so after sending Jan a couple of videos he was back over to troubleshoot the system. Jan went over every part and figured out a different part of the system was defected. Luckily he had a brand new replacement part in the truck.

It has been a week since Vanguard and Jan completed their work and I really couldn't be happier with all the attention and service we got. Obviously there is some disappointment with the manufacture of the pump but that isn't on Vanguard.

At the end of the day Vanguard and Jan stood by their work, they stand by the products, and the went the extra mile to make sure I was happy.

I would HIGHLY recommend Vanguard for all your plumbing and sewer needs!

We had a great experience with Vanguard installing new water heaters and fixing a thermal expansion issue we were having with our outside faucet. Jan was professional, quick, and his estimate was fair (I know because I triple bid the job). And, when the new valve on the heaters caused an issue with our washing machine, he came out the same day we called to troubleshoot the problem. We will definitely use Vanguard again.

If his rates seem more expensive than other plumbers, I would factor in that he isn't going to charge you more than what is needed to get the work done properly the first time around.

I can't say enough great things about Jan and his company, Vanguard Plumbing. In simple terms, he is not only the best plumber that I have ever worked with, I would go further and say that he is the best trades-person with whom I have dealt. First, he provides great service. He is easily accessible and responds to calls very promptly by phone or e-mail. He provides clear and comprehensive quotes listing the prices he will charge for a project. The quote is backed up by a written confirmation. He is flexible on scheduling and keeps the customer posted as to his timing on appointment days.

Of course, I hired him for his plumbing skill, pricing and integrity. All are top notch. His prices are vey reasonable. He is very honest. He never tries to sell or upcharge - to the contrary, he cautions against unnecessary and expensive additional work that he could do.

I have used him for several projects in my condo, including replacing faucets, replacing toilets, putting in shower heads, and fixing leaky faucets. The work he has done for me on jos several visits has uniformly been of high quality with no problems. He is very diligent as well. He stays with the project and works very hard. He did not charge me for the extra time that was required when the work ran into an unexpected snag caused by unforeseeable piping problems in my building. He also has had very good assistants with him.

He cleans up everywhere he works and double-checks the work before he leaves to make sure that everything is working properly. He follows up with a written confirmation of payment.

In short, I couldn't be more pleased with Jan and Vanguard. I highly recommend him.
