Great experience, first time using them. Fred (owner) came over when promised, replaced some old cast-iron pipes in my basement. His son came out and did a great, clean, courteous and on time. Even better, his estimate was exactly what I was charged. Will use them again.

I have had two experiences with Masciantonio Plumbing. The first was a five star, the second (and final) a one star. Thus, my three star rating.

On the first visit, they installed a new water shutoff under my sink, for a very reasonable $75. This was a 15 minute job and the owner himself did the work and offered me the service call rate.

The second visit was an even simpler job of replacing the trap under my sink. It was literally a screw off, replace, screw on job. I would have done it myself, but my home inspection required professional receipts.

The work was fine, but the bill was high. $34 for the part (a roughly 1500% markup over Home Depot), and $130 for labor. This job took 15 minutes. The owner lowered the bill by $25 after I complained but really, I shouldn't have had to take this step, as I was billed for the two plumber rate.

I would strongly recommend an up front quote from this company before authorizing work.
