ZERO Stars. So now November 8th , I got a message from Home Warranty saying that Value Rooter will be coming to replace Hot Water Heater between 8am-5pm today the 8th! Ok, finally! THEN I recieved a call from Value Rooter saying that because of prior engagements that they will be coming AFTER 5PM!!! WT??????????!!!!??? Prior before me, waiting 2 WEEKS. Then get a call from the contractor A.H. saying that I will be paying $750 OUT OF POCKET on top of this mess!!! My warranty confirmed that I will not pay anything more! I shared that information with contractor Ashley H at Value Rooter and he NEVER returned my call or NEVER SHOWED UP!! Going on WEEK 3 with no HOT WATER!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Contracted by AHS and pathetic customer service. Got an email my service appointment was between 8:30am - 12:30pm. Called to see where I fit in that range. Girl essentially laughed and said our window is 8-5 and you're 3-5. They randomly called me at noon so I called back to see what was up. The girl who answered was rude and like not sure why we called. I called one more time at 4:30 to ask what happens if the repair guy doesn't arrive by 5. I was told every repair guy finishes their entire docket for the day. The clock hit 6 p.m. and still no call no text nothing from value Rooter. I again called and got a voicemail. 3 hours later as I'm writing this review still no response to that voicemail. I called American Home Shield and suggested they started reading reviews on Yelp. I shared they should reconsider their contract with Value Rooter Corporation because they were giving them a bad name.

I was ripped off big time by this company. Water was leaking into my kitchen from under my sink. American Home Shield sent them to my home. The service was to fix a leak in my foundation. They explained one solution to me but said they would have to contact AHS about what was covered. The next morning I was contacted by AHS about the leak. AHS told me the contractor would have to go into the slab on my house to fix the leak and that only a small portion of the cost would be covered by AHS. I contacted the plumber assigned to my contract. I told him what AHS said needed to be done, and what he had told me the previous night were two different solutions. He told me AHS never gets it right when describing needed services. I later found out the price I was quoted by them, and paid, was the cost to do what they described to AHS. They actually did what was described to me the previous evening, which I later found out should have cost more than half as much as I was charged. STAY AWAY!

This company is a JOKE. 0 Stars!! Scheduled a service call 5 different times......yes 5 times as they always seemed to get to our call around 8 PM. When they finally came out to check our water heater that would not produce hot water for more than about 5-10 minutes, they brilliantly turned the water heater down and left. I would HIGHLY DISCOURAGE ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!! We are VERY disappointed with their effort, customer service, and willingness to actually address the issue we are having.

Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this company. It is a WASTE OF TIME.

My home warranty company referred me to this phony company. It took them 2 days to schedule someone to come to my home. I had to take the entire day off from work because they could only give me a window of 9am-5pm. After waiting all day with no one showing up, I finally called at 4:30pm. They informed me that they were running a little behind but someone would definitely be out. It's now 9pm and no one has showed up!! I hate to have my time wasted. If you are not professional enough to consider your customer's time, you do not deserve their business!! I will NEVER do business with this company again and I advise that anyone reading do not either!

Here is a copy of the email I sent to which no one there has acknowledged:
I want to express a couple issues I have had during this repair that no one has addressed or acknowledged.

1) I called the day prior to make sure we were ok to start on Thursday Feb 15th. I was told "all ok". I drove over 2 hours on way to get there only to be told by the installer that we could not proceed because the gas lines were not marked. That was a complete waste of my day.
2) I told the installer that I was there to see the actual damage and take pictures of it. He said no problem and would make sure I got the pictures. I have not received anything.
3) The next day, the tenant called me and sent me pictures of he complete mess left behind. Not sure what to say about that except wow.
4) I asked for an invoice to reflect the amount to be paid. Not a hard request. I need it for various reasons. Since the price negotiated with Joe was over email, I need an actual invoice to reflect the amount I will be paying. Not a hard or unusual ask but I certainly don't need an attitude from "Evan" calling me to collect when I asked for the invoice.

Contractor for my home warranty. REALLY bad customer service if you can even call it that. AND wanted to charge me $1200 out of pocket to install the hot water heater that is covered by my home warranty! Here is a list of the out of pocket charges:

Horrible service. Landmark home warranty booked this contractor for us. They don't send email or text about your appointment. I kept calling and my appointment window kept sliding throughout the day from 9.30 -11 to 12-2 to 3-5, i was always next in line. Then they say we will dispatch another contractor and nothing. Horrible service for what they do. Instead go for Fernandez Plumbing really good contractor for your needs.

If you want the WORST service ever, I would recommend Value Rooter plumbing services. We have a home warranty so our company assigns a repair company when we need a maintenance, we don't get to choose. The first day a tech came out to fix our kitchen sink and didn't have the part so he said he would be back later the same week. One week later two different techs come out to replace the faucet. Those TWO techs forgot to reattach the garbage disposal hose which caused a flood again under our sink and they put the cold & hot water backwards which we discovered after they left and I had to clean the mud they tracked throughout our living room and kitchen off the floors. So yesterday what they "fixed" busted again flooding my kitchen, I called them yesterday morning and informed the receptionist of everything that happened and she guaranteed someone would be out that day to fix it. So...Called them back yesterday at 5 after I waited around ALL day and she told me "I'm sorry we were just about to call you and schedule for tomorrow between 9-6" Excuse me?!?! I wasn't having that so she put me down for first thing today...well here I am at 10:20 and nobody has called or shown up. I call them again and she says "You are next on the list", Umm.. Hold up, I was supposed to be first on your "list" clearly this list is a made up, fairytale we don't really mean what we say type list deal. I have finally gotten a call at 11:30am to say the tech is in route and will be at your house in about an HOUR! Yes, I love spending my morning waiting for you, trying to work my daughters schedule around you, dealing with a fussy baby who hasn't had a nap yet because I didn't know when you would show up and didn't want you banging around in my kitchen waking her up. By the time you get here I'm sure she will be in full melt down mode and I will have zero patience for anything going wrong so you better come with the happiest damn apologetic face and do the best job you have ever done! Why not do my dishes too that I haven't been able to do since we had to have the water turned off to our sink since YESTERDAY morning.
