For a family owned business, I wouldn't trust them for buying or repairing boilers, which usually last 15 years. Without being offered any options, they took advantage of a senior citizen who coerced him to install a specific type of boiler with an unknown manufacturer and without educating him on the differences between the new and existing boiler for justifying the exorbitant price.

This was also an unprofessional company whereby the invoice was backdated before the installation and has nothing written about their refund and warranty policies. Their website points to a blog post without any means of contacting them like that of their invoice, which has no phone number or address for where their business operates.

Moreover, they failed to install it properly. After repeated calls with delayed responses and multiple visits for three weeks by their repairmen, who don't check beyond whether there is hot water or not, we've been unable to take quick showers without the lukewarm water running out. Despite sending multiple technicians, they couldn't figure out what was wrong to ensure the hot water lasted.

Finally, we figured out from a third-party technician that they left one of the control switches off that is normally one of the first things to check. Within minutes, we had hot water and it lasted. The third-party technician checked and confirmed what was wrong and different while ensuring we could test the hot water lasted on a Sunday morning.

Yet, they replaced it with one that didn't meet the expectations of the previous boiler for the same customer by stating we'd have to wait thirty minutes for hot water after it was used. We've never had this restriction, so it made us wonder about the differences. The company seemed to be trying to upsell an 80-year old to buy an extra and larger tank for holding more hot water for three people in a family. This was suspicious because the existing boiler had a coil and didn't need a tank.

I'm all for supporting families in times of crises as long as they're honest in delivering quality service. This is not what we got and we'll dispute it with our credit card company to find a better, more reliable, and trustworthy company to handle our needs for heat and hot water. I hope these issues don't recur for anyone else.

Awful company. Wes quoted me $775 to replace a shower body which I thought was pretty steep but I agreed to pay it because he says he's a master plumber and apparently really knows what he's doing. He tells me he will be back to do the job on Tuesday at 12 noon. At 10 minutes past 1 he still wasn't at my home so I called the office and the secretary says she will check on the status and call me back. She calls me back and says Wes will arrive at 3 p.m. (instead of 12 noon). That's a 3 hour difference. Then at 4:30 I called again because Wes had STILL not shown up. Finally at almost 5 p.m. two totally different guys show up (not Wes). They replace the shower body and CRACKED some of my shower wall tiles! We get Wes on the phone and he claims he warned me that might happen. NO HE DIDN'T. He's getting very rude with me saying: ""I WAS VERY CLEAR"" when he wasn't clear at all. Long story short - I don't like his demeanor (has no people skills at all) and the overall customer service is terrible.
Plus the price went up from $775 to $875 (Wes claiming the extra $100 was for his initial visit - even though he didn't tell me about that previously). They don't show up when they say they are going to show up and then you have to keep calling them to find out when they are coming - they don't bother to call you. Will NEVER use Value Plumbing & Heating Inc. again.

Horrible customer service. The work they did was decent. Had a pipe leak in my house that need to be fixed right away. Wes told me he would help me however he could so that my insurance would bare most of the cost besides the actual parts. He went out of his way multiple times (without me ever asking) to tell me that he could itemize the bill further later on if I needed in order for insurance to be able to see the breakdown of the work. Over the last 4-6 weeks I have called 8 times and not once has anyone given me the courtesy of calling me to discuss further even though the secretary has told me each time that she will send out a note to the guys for someone to call me. At this point it is clear they are never going to call me and I'm done wasting my time calling them for a service they promised me.
