Vals plumbing is a rip off... over charge for a plumber to sit in my bathroom and flush my toilet for twenty minutes and charged me 175$.. total rip off.. if you like throwing money away to a bad service call Val's Plumbing.

Had Val's come in and replace the faucet in the kitchen. I was off island at the time and requested that they replace it with a 'like' faucet. When I was back I was disappointed to see it had been replaced with the cheapest available (I looked up the model number at Lowe's) and they charged me almost 300% markup. I placed a follow-up call that didn't get replied to as promised and when I called back again I was told that's just the way it is and that everything was correct. I will be looking elsewhere for my plumbing needs in the future. Too bad as they really have some good reviews. Well here's one not so good one. Mahalo!

Don't know what happened to Val but he left in the middle of a job and said he'd be back when he could get to it. Water leaking on the floor 24 hours a day, and he'll be back when he can get to it? I like the old Val's service. I think he's burned out.

Was have having pressure release valve issues. Called Val and he explained that it could be two minor issues and might not be release valve something minor like water pressure or heat temp of water. He was going to find problem not just fix most expensive remedy. Kenny showed up and was fantastic!! He checked symptoms first and let me see results that our pressure was not to high and water temp was not to high. Fixed problem fast and was on his way! This company is great! Unlike Lahaina plumbing that doesn't give a s@@t!!!!!!!

I have an older American Standard shower valve that no longer passed hot water. Turns out there's a balancing valve inside. Val came by, figured out what parts were needed, swapped them out from stock on his truck and we were back in business. Took maybe a half hour. $100 including parts.

Explained what I needed done on the telephone when I made the appointment . Val came out to confirm the work, waited 3 weeks for a written estimate only to find out they were to busy to do it.

I own a condo at Coconut Grove in Maui. Was referred to Val's Plumbing by a friend and called them right away. I needed to replace my water heater and fix an array of other smaller things. I got a visit from Val a couple of days later and was happily surprised with such a nice person. I've dealt with plumbers before, both here and in the mainland, but Val and his company are in a category of their own. Absolutely, hands down, the best Plumbing business in the island and one of the best in the country. On top of everything and every detail, fast, right price, extremely pleasant and professional. I highly recommend them for whoever may need the assistance of a plumbing company in Maui. The best of the best! Thank you Val and keep up with your professional standards and amusing personality!

I had an issue with disconnecting a water line when replacing my dishwasher so I called Val's on a Saturday and he was at my place within the hour. They charge by the hour so since he was able to get the line disconnected in like 10 minutes I asked him to complete the install of the dishwasher which he did within the same hour I was being billed for. I couldn't be happier with his service. Oh, and when he saw my water heater he noticed some tiny leaks so he advised I call the manufacture to get it replaced while its still under warranty. He actually asked me to NOT leave him any reviews since he says he has more work than he can take on but my neighbors should know that if they need a plumber he should be the first one to call.

We've used Val's Plumbing twice in our vacation rental. The first time, we had Kenny replace a kitchen faucet that 3 other plumbers could not properly install or repair. After that we were sold! We then had Kenny replace a cracked toilet while we were off-island. We first consulted Kenny about an inexpensive Glacier Bay toilet we found online at Home Depot, but Kenny said it was not a good-quality toilet and recommended an American Standard instead. Kenny brought out 2 different-size toilets, installed the one that fit best and texted us a photo of the completed installation. We are impressed with the knowledge, responsiveness, promptness and cleanliness of Kenny and everyone else at Val's Plumbing. We will use them from now for all our plumbing projects in our vacation rental.
