Val's Plumbing & Heating provides a solid base in heating, air distribution, cooling systems, water systems, pipework, ductwork, and sheet metal services. With over a long history of experience in commercial, government, educational, and heavy-duty projects, we have mastered the art of meeting your demanding quality expectations, while adhering to tight deadlines and managing limited budgets. No matter the scope or complexity of your project, Val's Plumbing & Heating is equipped to execute it. From major projects that are fast-tracked and complex to minor retrofit jobs, we possess the skills and capabilities to ensure your project succeeds.
In February 1954, Val launched his business, Val's Plumbing, behind a forge in Castroville. Shortly after, Val's brother joined the venture. By 1968, Val's operation had grown to a team of ten staff members. He acquired property on Front Street, built a new facility, and expanded services to include HVAC and air conditioning. In 1968, Val's Plumbing evolved into Val's Plumbing & Heating Inc. Today, we employ one hundred team members and maintain a solid financial standing. Domestic Engineering has recognized us among the top 150 plumbing firms in the United States.
Val served two years in the Army during World War II.
In 1986, Val was chosen by the Plumbing & Heating National Association as a delegate to represent our industry in Asia. In 1991, People To People, an organization founded by President Eisenhower, invited Val to join a diverse group of business leaders for a three-week visit to Russia. In 2001, Val traveled to Cuba, again representing People to People. In 1987, Val was honored with the Construction Person of the Year award from the Salinas Valley Builders Exchange. In 1990, he received the Business Excellence Award from the Salinas Chamber of Commerce. Val was also awarded the Medal of Honor for the Lecchesis of the World in Lucca, Italy. Recently, he was recognized with the Hall of Fame Award and Philanthropist of the Year from Notre Dame High School in Salinas.

Lambo R.Our Water heater cracked a leak on Wednesday called Vals plumbing just because I always see their trucks up and down the Salinas Valley. I was a little bummed out they couldn't get a guy out to me till the following Monday so I rigged the water heater to drain out to a bucket, but I was happy that I waited because once Monday came our plumber Mark arrived right on time gave awesome customer service and changed out our old water heater to a new one and a reasonable price. Highly recommend Vals plumbing.
Brien S.Contacted Vals on 6/08/21 about buying and quickly replacing a water heater in a modular home. They had a replacement in stock, gave me a great price and installed it the next day. Mark was personable and very competent, and had the new heater both installed and tested before noon.

Patricia M.Just call Alvarez Plumbing instead!!! Period! $300+ and still couldn't clear the clog. Alvarez got it done and almost half the cost. Worker did his best but equipment failures or lack of right equipment for the job was the issue.

So tired of it that when the plumber came to fix the 3 toilets hubby did not ask him to wear a mask, nor did he offer, or did he have on any shoe covers. We are in a pandemic! I am an RN and of course got upset when I came home from my shift at the hospital to learn that my hubby even let this guy in without a mask and shoe covers and gloves!!!!
My husband to appease me, called the manager, who said , ""did you ask him to put a mask on ? "" isn't an employer supposed to provide PPE for the sake of the employees and the public ?
Not happy with the company for not respecting the safety of my home !
Liz N.My mom a gas leak someone recommended her to Vals plumbing and she had such a horrible experience one they over charged her and supposedly fixed the leak but once they were leaving they told her that they weren't done that they need two more days to finish the work so found anoTher plumbing place for a second opinion and told her that they over charged her and didn't even do the job right
