Val's Plumbing & Heating provides a solid base in heating, air distribution, cooling systems, plumbing, piping, ventilation systems, and metal fabrication. With over a long history of experience in industrial, public sector, institutional, and heavy-duty projects, we have mastered the art of meeting your demanding quality expectations, while adhering to strict deadlines and managing tight budgets. No matter the scale or difficulty of your project, Val's Plumbing & Heating is equipped to handle it. From large projects that are fast-tracked and detailed to minor retrofit jobs, we possess the knowledge and resources to ensure your project succeeds.
In February 1954, Val launched his business, Val's Plumbing, behind a forge in Castroville. A year later, Val's brother joined the venture. By 1968, Val's operation had grown to a team of ten staff members. He acquired property on Front Street, built a new facility, and expanded services to include climate control and temperature management. In 1968, Val's Plumbing evolved into Val's Plumbing & Heating Inc. Today, we employ one hundred team members and maintain a strong financial standing. Domestic Engineering has recognized us among the top 150 plumbing firms in the United States.
Val served two years in the Army during World War II.
In 1986, Val was chosen by the Plumbing & Heating National Association as a delegate to represent our industry in Asia. In 1991, People To People, an organization founded by President Eisenhower, invited Val to join a diverse group of business leaders for a three-week visit to the Soviet Union. In 2001, Val traveled to Cuba, again representing People to People. In 1987, Val was honored with the Builder of the Year award from the Salinas Valley Builders Exchange. In 1990, he received the Excellence in Business Award from the Salinas Chamber of Commerce. Val was also awarded the Honor Medal for the Lecchesis of the World in Lucca, Italy. Recently, he was recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award and Community Service Award from Notre Dame High School in Salinas.

Patricia M.Just call Alvarez Plumbing instead!!! Period! $300+ and still couldn't clear the clog. Alvarez got it done and almost half the cost. Worker did his best but equipment failures or lack of right equipment for the job was the issue.

So tired of it that when the plumber came to fix the 3 toilets hubby did not ask him to wear a mask, nor did he offer, or did he have on any shoe covers. We are in a pandemic! I am an RN and of course got upset when I came home from my shift at the hospital to learn that my hubby even let this guy in without a mask and shoe covers and gloves!!!!
My husband to appease me, called the manager, who said , ""did you ask him to put a mask on ? "" isn't an employer supposed to provide PPE for the sake of the employees and the public ?
Not happy with the company for not respecting the safety of my home !
Liz N.My mom a gas leak someone recommended her to Vals plumbing and she had such a horrible experience one they over charged her and supposedly fixed the leak but once they were leaving they told her that they weren't done that they need two more days to finish the work so found anoTher plumbing place for a second opinion and told her that they over charged her and didn't even do the job right

Jaydog P.We didn't make it past the rude and unprofessional woman on the phone. It's not hard to speak to people with a little respect, like you wanted their business. Total assholes at Val's. I get that you start charging the second you leave your shop and stop the moment you get back. When we asked what it cost to clean a heating unit she actually said, ""I just told you!"" If that is how they represent themselves on our first contact I can't imagine how horrible their actual service must be. No thanks, you are not the only heater people in town.
