Starting in the East, specifically Hell's Kitchen, N.Y., I entered the workforce in sanitation. This journey took me to the West Coast, landing in Las Vegas during the mid-1950s to contribute to the Tropicana Hotel and Casino. With years of experience in construction, I am no stranger to the gaming sector from my time back East. I noticed the struggle to find qualified personnel: “it’s almost an impossible task.”
