Starting in the East, specifically Hell's Kitchen, N.Y., I entered the workforce in sanitation. This experience brought me to the West Coast, landing in Las Vegas during the mid-1950s to take on projects like the Tropicana Hotel and Casino. With years of experience in construction, I am no stranger to the gaming sector from my time back East. I recognized a challenge in finding skilled workers: “it’s almost an impossible task.”
