Sent 3 people over to clean a drain. Charged $240 an hour! Never gave the tenant an estimate before starting the job. Avoid this rip off company at all cost.

We've used Val Gross twice, once to repair a collapsed sewer line and replace a back flow valve and the other time to replace our worn out hot water tank. Both jobs were professionally done and in a timely matter. I highly recommend them to do the job right the first time.

Back in November, Val Gross 2 guys came and changed out the ice maker water line to braided metal water line, they stated it was safe for drinking water. The ice tastes like metal. The diverter drain in the tub, was not aligned and leaks in garage. I had another plumber come to repair their mistake and told me the colored water lines, are not approved for drinking water.

I am so pleased with Blue Mills Plumbing. We've used them several times, but this last time, they were truly a lifesaver. They showed up so fast after we called and explained that we were in deep (literally, ugh!). Their service people are awesome, and they even cleaned up after they'd resolved the problem. I have to have service people I can trust to be fair, honest, and to do the job right the first time every time, and Blue Mills plumbing met all of our expectations. I'm keeping them on speed-dial! P.S. Not sure why it thinks I'm in California... I'm right here in Independence!

I am giving 1 star due to exorbitant billing and lack of professionalism. I have hired this company before and was pleased. I believe there must have been a change in ownership or management since that time. They were hired to install 4 bathroom sink faucets which we purchased. They showed up only slightly late and the one who seemed to be in charge immediately told me about guy should be coming to relieve him during the job. In the meantime, the one who seemed to be in training (spent a lot of time asking questions) was left alone while the other left to get parts they did not come equipped with. They were in my home for 3hrs 45min and charged $660 for the work of ""2 guys"". The invoice was left on the counter due to me having to go into a web meeting since the install of 4 faucets took much longer than I expected. We found a leak on one faucet that night. My husband called the next day to report the leak and discuss the bill. He was told they could pick up the charger they left immediately but couldn't fix the leak until Monday (this was Thursday). The man he talked to told him we were lucky because he could have charged us for 3 guys. I couldn't believe that was his response since there were NEVER 3 guys working at any given time. There was hardly 2 guys working at a time due to the one needing guidance every step of the way (I don't mind this until I get charged by the hour for it). This company does not offer veteran discounts, but that's to be expected considering their other practices. They did return on Monday to fix leak and harass my husband for payment. We opted to file BBB complaint which they had not responded to for 3 weeks at time of this review. We further opted to hold payment for 30 days as indicated allowed on invoice. We decided to give them the opportunity to make this right and not review them until the time they didn't respond and payment was due. They haven't responded and we are mailing payment today.

Great service! Dug up our sewer line in front yard for roots going through line. Saved us more than $2000 over other bid. Great employees and work.
