I initially called XXXXXXXX. I was told that a plumber could come in 10 days with a 5 hour window.

I then called Val Betti Plumbing and the company provided a plumber in 48 hours with a three hour window.

The day before my scheduled appointment I was notified of my appointment.


Jeff arrived within 15 minutes of the beginning of the window. He was courteous,knowledgeable, and neat his work. I could not have asked for better service.

I woke up one morning at 4am and smelled a gas leak. I checked all the obvious clues - stove, furnace and nothing looked out of the ordinary. I called PG&E and they did their check and found a very small leak and advised that I needed a plumber. Val Betti Plumbing actually picked up the phone and indicated they could come out the next morning. The others I called either didn't call me back, or said it would be two weeks before they could come out. Not realistic to not have heat or a way to cook with a family of 5, so I confirmed with them for the next morning.

They showed up early, and Wade and worker were all business. Wade jumped in and showed me the pricing structure first so I knew what to expect, then described their process of blowing air through pipes to find leak. They did their check and I had a couple of rusty valves that needed replacing. He took care of it efficiently, gave me an overview and showed me the parts that were replaced. This could not have been handled better, and I felt like my family was safer as a result. Thanks Val Betti Plumbing!

The condo we purchased in Emeryville needed lots of plumbing upgrades: new toilets, angle stop valves, p-traps, clearing grit and corrosion from the aerators and a new garbage disposal. Naturally, we needed all this done in a short time frame and they were fabulous. We had a plumber on premises in a couple of days, who provided on the spot estimates and recommendations, that were absolutely NOT of the ""you need the most expensive of everything"" variety. He worked quickly and efficiently in some uncomfortable workspaces. The second team of two installed the new toilets and made additional repairs in about 3 hours. Everyone arrived EXACTLY at the time promised (how often does that happen?). It can be challenging to get fast and responsible responses from various trades in today's market. Val Betti Plumbing is the gold standard!

We needed the Emergency Earthquake Gas Shutoff valve installed. They came out, worked clean and showed me how it worked. We were able to schedule in just a couple of days from when I called. Always a pleasure to deal with them.

We've had a problem with our water pressure for a couple of years since another plumber changed our pressure regulator. We had another plumber look at it recently who only made it worse. We called Val Betti, and Ryan came out to look at it. He quickly checked the pressure and explained the problem, adjusted the pressure for the house and specifically at one of our faucets that was especially bad. He was so nice and professional! I wish we had called Val Betti years ago and we'll certainly call them from now on.

I called literally 10 plumbers who all either A) Didn't respond or B) Responded that they ""don't serve"" Richmond. Wow....lots I could say about that, since most of them do service adjacent El Cerrito (just a few blocks from us).

Val Betti was a breath of fresh air. They promptly called me back, and even though they didn't have an appointment available for several days they said they'd let me know if there was a cancellation or a slot to squeeze us in. Later that very day I received a call that they could come out immediately! The plumber was kind, respectful, and super efficient. He was able to fix our kitchen sink backup and the cost was so reasonable. He gave us a lot of great tips for avoiding future kitchen plumbing drama. Grateful for honest, service oriented companies like this one.
