Mitch was outstanding in all ways. He replaced an older toilet with a new one and took the old one away. He was very clean and tidied up after all was done. He arrived exactly at the start time of a 4 hour window. We will definitely hire him again.

We had a big job, installing two new water heaters and replacing two water cartridges for old showers. Ryan and his team were exceptional, professional, and on time. We called for help with a leaky toilet and Val Betti sent us Ryan, Lead Residential Service Tech. He was amazing! He had the necessary replacement parts in his truck and clearly explained what he was doing and how to watch for future toilet problems. Val Betti did an excellent job with my kitchen faucet install and two new shutoff valves. The plumber was timely, thorough and courteous. He inspected the sink and existing plumbing and then gave me a firm price quote. The price wasn't cheap, but the service seemed high quality and I'm happy I hired them.

I called Val Betti because I have an old floor furnace and needed the thermostat to be looked at. We had very good experiences with Val Betti before and their techs are very knowledgeable.

Today, their plumber, Mitch came out and arrived on time. Mitch came to our house a year ago for furnace maintenance and did a good job.

This time, Mitch came to our house, said hello at the door, and then started doing all this stuff that I didn't ask or even knew I was going to be charged for. He gave me a bill for furnace cleaning/inspection ($254) that I didn't even ask to be done or was not aware he was planning on doing. He walked in our house and just started doing stuff without stating what he is doing and informing us of the cost. Then he gave us the bill for the furnace cleaning and a quote for a new thermostat part/installation. When I refused to pay the bill, he said ""Well I gotta charge you something!"" Who does that?

Also, now Val Betti charges $281 to have a basic Honeywell thermostat installed that costs $20 on Amazon.

When I set up the initial appointment, the Val Betti staff stated that the assessment/quote is free. I called the Val Betti's main office to complain about Mitch. I spoke with Vince and received an equivalent of a shoulder shrug and a limp sorry. Basically Vince said ""I will talk to Mitch...he shouldn't have done that!"" with little enthusiasm to rectify the situation.

I am very disappointed with this experience as I have used these guys for the last 7 years.

We have had Val Betti out for various problems over the years, from a backed-up kitchen sink to a leak dripping from a ceiling. In every case, they have sent a pro who was able to solve the problem in an efficient and professional way. Everything they have done has lasted. I've even had them fix issues that other handy-people messed up on. Look no further than Val Betti for any of your plumbing needs! Maybe they are not the cheapest (I have not compared) but even if so - the quality of their work is worth it!
