Recommended Customer Reviews

I opened a ticket 3 weeks ago. Called last week and they said the office person (Anna) no longer worked there. New person stated she would call the warranty people to get things worked out. Nothing happened. Got a call Monday to tell me they were sending someone out for the toilet. I didn't have a toilet problem. They said they would straighten that out. They called again to tell me plumber would be there in 10 minutes. 15 minutes later I called back to find out they had me confused with another customer. I ask to please make sure they had the right information before telling me to be available because I have to take off work to be there. Next call was from them to tell me the plumber was outside my house. No plumber was there. It was a confused/messed up issue from the start. I will NEVER use them again.

Worst experience so far ever. I have had to run them down for everything. I have been without hot water for two weeks just because they didn't submit a report. They just forgot about my family and I multiple times. Then try to lie about why things are taking a long time. I would have just been forgotten if I hadn't called them. Do not allow this company to cause you discomfort. Try someone else.

Frank was great-Friendly, timely, took care of a leaky hot water heater really quickly. He had to deal with American Home Shield as part of my situation.
Anna (I think that was her name) at the office was quick to return my calls when I had questions. She was also super friendly.
This was great service.

Fantastic service! We had a disposal issues that was resolved within half an hour. Quick, friendly and great work.

I recently had a water main line to my house break. I called my service plan provider and they used USA Plumbing. I called the number and asked if they would expedite as I had tried to make the repair myself and was way out of my league and had been without water for three days. The office person was extremely courteous and professional and agreed to assist me, and made arrangements for the service person to arrive the same day. The plumber arrived exactly when they said he would. He quickly assessed the problem, and, unfortunately, my repair was not covered under my service plan. The plumber gave me a reasonable price, and quickly finished the project. He also took the time to assess another ticket with my warrantee company. He did a temporary fix, and was ever so helpful. The plumber was very professional, helpful and courteous and did excellent workmanship. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone!!

We discovered a wet area in our drywall ceiling one day, and upon further inspection, it turned out we had a leak somewhere. Our home was under warranty, so we called American Home Shield to see if they could send someone. USA Plumbing was assigned to our case. Apolo came over on time and found the source of the problem: our toilet needed a repair.
When Apolo went to go shut off the water, he found that our shutoff valves were non-functional. He apologized, and told me I needed to get the city to fix the main shutoff valve before proceeding. Well...several phone calls to the city later, and the valve was fixed.
I gave USA Plumbing a call back, and they scheduled a visit very quickly. I'm impressed with their response times. Apolo came back, fixed the toilet, patched up another leak somewhere and replaced the property shutoff valve with something much nicer. All done in a timely professional manner.

I had submitted a claim through AHS for an issue we thought might be attributed to our water heater. The same day I received a call from Anna with USA Plumbing to schedule a date/time for one of their plumbers to come look into our issue. Frank was there the next day and did all the diagnostics he could before needing to get further approval from AHS. In the meantime, while waiting to find out if AHS would approve further testing (they ultimately did), and both Frank and Anna were wonderful to work with when scheduling multiple revisits. Ultimately it turned out not to be a water issue failure, rather sediment build up in our old galvanized pipes and faucets/shower head. Outside of AHS claims, we've found our new plumber for as long as we own a home in Austin!

Frank at USA plumbing is efficient, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. We were luck enough to have him assigned to help fix a leak caused by the previous AHS plumber. He arrived on time, gave plenty of notice on the courtesy call and didn't try to sell or up charge. We will definitely ask for Frank every time we have a plumbing issue.

Ditto the wish for 0 stars. Please save yourself the frustration! This company feels sneaky, dishonest and is extremely unprofessional. USA Plumbing was sent by AHS. I did read previous reviews but decided to have them come out (knowing I could always deny the work when/if I wasn't comfortable with them). Plumber came to my home with nothing in hand. He was outwardly put out that my leaking water heater was accessed through a very large scuttle hole in a walk in closet, in the upstairs attic. I provided him the necessary ladder and flashlight he needed (again, empty handed). He refused to go into the attic, as he "was afraid he would fall". Still, he confirmed unit was leaking, but that the top was dry, so "it must be coming from the bottom". The top, however, was at least 4 ft above his head and he clearly could not see it (side note - once replaced by reputable plumber, it actually WAS leaking from the top). He confirmed we needed a new water heater and he would send a report to AHS. I called AHS the next day, and they confirmed USA Plumbing had not contacted them or sent them a report they needed to get the process started. Fast forward.... AHS calls to let me know we would be required to pay almost $800 out of pocket (directly to USA Plumbing) for code upgrades and - included in that - a $435 fee to get into the attic! I was, however, informed by USA Plumbing that if we had a carpenter come out to install a drop down ladder, we would not be charged that. :) I called USA Plumbing (took 2 days and over 8 calls to get ahold of them) and finally got a hand written quote from them. Remember the $800 above we were told was oop by AHS? Strangely, the USA Plumbing quote was for almost $1200! I called USA Plumbing another day, another 10 calls (remember my water heater is leaking in the attic!)... to question the difference in prices. My questioning of prices and then additionally, the permit - and if it was necessary was very offensive and I was told to "find someone else to work with" before being hung up on (was just asking, as I truly didn't know! permit was quoted at $200 so I was curious - also about how long it would take to secure one). We had a great company we've worked with before replace it, paying directly oop (this company does not work with AHS). Sigh. We've had an uncomfortable, extremely disrespectful, suspicious experience that feels very dishonest. We choose a different company that is honest and upfront, respectful, easy to reach, has a website and really great reviews. Save your time and do the same! Please don't let USA Plumbing disrespect and take advantage of you!

They got to my house early, gave me plenty of notice to get home, fixed my issue quickly, and gave me some great advice on preventing future issues. Super courteous and professional, 100% satisfied.
I was nervous because of previous reviews, but my experience was great. I have a lot of issues with AHS (the home warranty company) and their business model and complete lack of transparency, but USA was great to work with. I will request them in the future if I have any more issues.
