If you want a drain cleared, call Tom. If you have anything more than that, DO NOT CALL THIS GUY. Tom is a likable and charming guy but he is NOT a skilled contractor. My elderly parents were totally snowed and taken in by him. He had them convinced that he could do the plumbing work on their extensive bathroom remodel. The general contractor, (who is a family member) begged my parents not to use him for the plumbing portion of the job but they insisted. The GC watched him closely and actually caught him doing what he considered ""sub-par"" work, installing cheap fixtures.
The bathroom ended up beautiful but less than 6 years later, guess what portion of the shower failed... yup - the inferior quality valve that he installed. So now all of the beautiful tile work had to be ripped out and since that tile is no longer available, the once beautiful shower will never look the same and cost us several thousands of dollars.
So bottom line: Tom is a likable guy, call him to clear your drains but nothing complex. I think this is a fair and reasonable critique

We discovered that Tom is also a highly skilled plumbing contractor. He recently replaced our aging kitchen and adjacent lavatory drainage system with up-to-date materials and convenient clean-outs. The work was performed professionally and priced fairly. We now have a regularly scheduled maintenance agreement with Tom in order to avoid future drain blockage emergencies.
