The first 2 times, first time it was repiping from house to septic tank, they did a good job with 3 workers and Bill on site supervised the job. Second time it was to snake plugged pipe, it was an older guy so you can tell he's very experienced, took care of it in an hour or so. However, ever since Bill retired their job competency has gone down the toilet. They sent out a very young guy to snake the clogged pipe, came here for 10 minutes, didn't know what he was doing, didn't clear the pipe and said he had to come back. Incomplete job, did not clear the pipe, but charging a whopping $340!! The pipe was STILL plugged! My roommate at the time used to do property maintenance spent 4 hours on a weekend got it worked! When I bought another investment property in March 2019, seller paid $100 for them to locate and flag the septic tank because the land is 3 acres and seller did not know the septic was, and it was in our purchase agreement that seller to mark the septic tank. When we closed escrow, there were holes on the ground but there were no flag whatsoever to locate the septic. ANOTHER incomplete job. Then they sent me an invoice telling me I owe $340 when the young guy showed up for 10 minutes and did NOT unplugged the problem, seller of the property I bought paid $100 for them to flag the septic tank, was NOT flagged.

Ever since Bill retired and they keep sending out young inexperienced and incompetent workers their job performance has gone down the toilet. Their website says ""100% satisfaction garranteed"" Not so!

I booked an appointment for have a new RO water filter system. They missed the first appointment (didn't even call me to say they couldn't make it - I called them about it), they were 6 hours late for the reschedule (and misunderstood my request), and canceled the third appointment 30 minutes after they were supposed to arrive because I had asked them about their professionalism.

I like to use local businesses, and I expect a level of professionalism in clear communication. I waited 2 weeks, let them choose their reschedule time (3 times!) and I've got to find a new plumber... YMMV.

BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE
(Please read)
Their youngest son, on my property, lied to my face. He wasn't even present when the work was done the previous day. Their other sons (with the beards) came out and did a great job, and they were paid. They also had to diagnose what was wrong with a part on water heater, and did. An expensive part had to be ordered, and I told them I would order it, and put it in. (simple)
Here's my conplaint. When they turned the water on and off at the shut off valve, it got damaged. Instead of telling me it should be replaced, they built up a hill of sand around it to hide the leak, and left it leaking overnight.
Like I wasnt gonna notice it.... There was a foot and a half ring of wet sand around it. wtf ? Their mother and father, the owners, yelled and argued about it over the phone (over such a simple little fix). My being a CSLB licensed builder.... I would have fixed it before I left, like a responsible businessman.

I was experiencing a foul odor coming from what I had narrowed it down to be the toilet of my second bathroom we don't use often. I could not figure out what could be causing that smell because the septic tank had been been emptied recently. I called U S Rooter & Plumbing and a nice lady answered the phone. I explained my situation and she knew exactly what it took to resolve the problem. What impressed about her was rather than take advantage of me by scheduling a service call ($$) to send a technician out. Instead, she asked some questions and quickly determined what the issue was and walked me through the solution. Because I experienced a hands on example of the company's character I will always use them again and again! I will also refer them to my friends and family because this business has integrity. I recommend you use them as well.

Bill treated me really well the first two times I used him. On the third call out, I wanted to ask a question after the job was finished and while asking, he somehow decided I was looking to get a lower price. (I would NEVER do that! I even told him, Once you agree on a price, that's the price you pay... PERIOD! To this day, I never got to ask my question) He literally exploded, cut me off by yelling and then hung up on me! I immediately went to his shop, paid him cash (in full) and he just kept on screaming! I would have been a customer for life but you don't treat people like that for any reason. Especially, just for wanting to ask a question. The world is full of good plummers that know how to interact with customers. I wish him well but I just wont put up with that type of behavior.

So thankful for their attentive service. My heater went out. They came out the same day (Christmas, observed on Monday) and replaced the thermostat. Everything worked great.
Pilot went out next day and I called and he was out in 10 minutes to light it. Very professional.

Bill June does a good job pumping septic tanks, but as a plumber he really sucks. He burn out my furnace controller trying to fix it, and most of the plumbing he installed had to be replaced.

When the company that had recently pumped our tank got rude and refused to come check why our tank was backing up, Bill June was recommended by a friend. He came out and told us what the problem was and helped us through. He made recommendations to remedy the issue that caused our problem but was not pushy. He was very honest and not trying to take advantage of us. We truly appreciate his great customer service!
