I gave this company another chance. I ordered a faucet installation through Home Depot. This time, the plumber showed up on time and was very professional. I am satisfied with the installation.

I didn't even get a chance to fully work with them because of how rude they were on the phone. I missed their first call about 5 days ago, it didn't show up on my phone, and when I requested a call from an installer again he was very rude when I answered the phone. He spoke as if it wouldn't be worth their time coming out unless I was going to sign. He threw the price $7500 without knowing anything about my bathroom or what I wanted done (mind you this $7500 doesn't include the tub, the toilet, the sink, or the vanity) basically its materials and labor. He said ""clearly you already have estimates and know what you're going to spend so if we're too high then you already know"" When I asked him how he could be charging me $7500 per bathroom when one bathroom is about half the size of the other he said I was right and that it would be $300-500 cheaper. He really just didn't want to give me the time of day and was just really rude about it. I hung up on him and his fast talking and he proceeded to call back asking if we lost connection. I just don't understand why when I'm trying to spend thousands of dollars you wanna be rude about it? Maybe don't install bathrooms and just stick to small plumbing jobs?

I ordered a bathroom vanity from Home Depot and found they contract their plumbing work to U.S. Plumbing. When I told them I wanted a vanity installed they told me the price. They didn't ask if I had a one piece or two piece vanity. When the installer (finally) showed up, he said that installation would cost $150 more since it was a two piece vanity. To glue the two pieces together he needed epoxy glue. He didn't have epoxy glue with him and I had to make a trip to Home Depot to buy it.

The ""crowning achievement"" of his installation was that he didn't use a tarp and got glue on my carpet. I live in a small condo and as soon as you walk in the door you see it on the carpet.

I called U.S. plumbing about the glue, but got no satisfaction. From what I have read, epoxy is a glue that can not be removed.

Call me disgusted. Will not be using these services again.

I was referred to them from Home Depot. They gave me an appointment window of 5 hours for an estimate on an oven installation. I stayed home the entire time and no one showed up and no one called to cancel the estimate. I called the office and no one answered the entire afternoon.

I bought a kitchen faucet at home depot to be installed 6 days later (2 days ago). At the end of Wednesday, I called Home Depot to find out when they are going to show up. Home depot told me they would call me in the next 24 hours. Well now we are 48 hours later at the end of the business week and I have heard nothing. Feels like the BEGINNING of a horror story to come. Meanwhile, my kitchen is rotting from the older leaky faucet. Cheers Home Depot and US Plumbing. I will update as the nightmare unravels...

I joined Yelp to write a review for this company and hopefully temper some of the negativity I've read. Like most folks, I was referred to US Plumbing from Home Depot; honestly I have more negative comments about Home Depot than USP. One thing to note about many of these negative reviews, is that many of these folks have not had any actual work done but are complaining about customer service issues. More on how the company could improve communication and customer interaction in the next paragraph.

This company gets A LOT leads from Home Depot, so YES, they will ask you if you know that a bathroom remodel costs between $10,000 to $15,000 (or more) before trekking out to your home to draw up a design and finalize an estimate. NO, you and your bathroom really are not different and your bathroom will not magically cost less. My tiny-ass 25 foot square bathroom in Colonial Village, North Arlington was within this range, and it's barely big enough for a Hobbit. Could the company be more delicate in how they go about ascertaining customer seriousness...well sure, but I'm paying for talent and skill over couth. I almost didn't use USP for the renovation due to negative Yelp comments, but I noted most people weren't complaining about quality, skill, or craftsmanship.

I required an entire bathroom renovation due to cross contamination of my condo with mold spores--- perpetrated by Michael & Son (NEVER hire them for anything). I had no choice but to tear out my bathroom, but this also means I was able to see the conscientious approach for a full bathroom renovation, including--- installation of new tub, toilet, vanity, floor tile, and shower tile. I was primarily concerned with tiling and the damage cause by mold, but Collins did my tile; he was a real gem! Little Harry (who on the telephone sounds 50 years old but looks like he's 28 and some change) was also pleasant and professional.

Aside from the one day there was a jackhammer going for 6 hours, I was happy and pleased with the work. In addition, there is some additional tangential work to be done for which Little Harry said he'd be happy to come back out and take care. So yeah, I'll be calling him for that work in the future.

If there was one thing to change, I wished they could magically get done sooner and faster. I really was without a shower for a week and half though they were very good about making sure there was a working toilet at all times. And Little Harry went out of his way to ensure I could take a shower as soon as possible. Between using a friends shower and prodigious use of baby wipes, I was fine without the shower for those days. On that note, they started on a Monday and I was returned a fully functional bathroom on Wednesday/Thursday of the following week. Like I said the most important thing for me was having a toilet. I had to be careful the first few days after the tile work was complete, but after that everything was good to go. And I still smile every time I walk into my bathroom. Really nice work overall. Take a look at photo and the artistic tiling work by Collins...Yo, this guys trained in tile works in Italy. Like I said, he's a real gem, and I hope he gets super Christmas bonuses every year.

I can't speak to warranties and following up with defective workmanship as they bathroom has only been completed for a few months. However, I will update accordingly should anything change. So far everything is brilliant.

Also, I'm a single female living in one bedroom condo and was home for the duration of the renovation. I never once felt uncomfortable. These guys are easy going pros, focused on doing good work, and some of them (I'm looking at you Collins) have a sharp sense of humor. I balked at the cost knowing it was higher because I went through Home Depot, but I'm now glad I took the plunge and trusted my intuition with US Plumbing. And quite honestly, I dig it that they're a family run business.

Home Depot and Michael & Son...that's another story.

UPDATE 12.2017: I'm now one year out from my bathroom remodel, and I stand by everything I've stated in the above review. In fact, I am so please that I've asked them to come back out and do a bit more additional work for me, include tiling another bathroom. I trust these guys to do a good job; not only that, they remembered me/my bathroom when I called them up with another job.

This company is efficient and accurate when first installing plumbing. We had them upgrade our house's plumbing which was tiring since built in 1978. The [2012] project. contracted via Home Depot, included upgrades to our Master Bath shower, both bathroom commodes, and an alcove Jacuzzi in the hallway bath. But that's where their interest ended, once they were paid.

(1) They refused to honor their warrantee. Shortly following the installation, we discovered a cutoff to an outdoor water faucet leaked when opened. They were non-responsive to multiple phone calls and emails from us pleading for them to come and repair the cutoff.

(2) They refused to repair the Master Bath Tower Shower when we discovered the lever to start the shower was fixed; would not turn Five years later. (Yes, we know the labor costs would be incurred.) They refused to service their original installation.

(3) Forced by (2) to call a different plumber, who seriously damaged the Master Bath Tower Shower and poorly installed cutoff to the shower and commode, thereby crippling the Master Bath. Yet again they refused to help, knowing I was recovering from knee replacement surgery.

Ergo, given our seriously dire suffering, we do not recommend this firm if seeking a service provider which honors its warranties and supports future needs when they arise.

This is a company set up by Home Depot to do plumbing for my residence. I called several times after they left me a message. Very unprofessional and rude customer service. Never try again and Avoid failing Home Depot also.

I wish I could give US Plumbing more stars, they did an outstanding job remodeling my master bath and I am so thankful. From start to finish, they were very professional. The estimate was accurate, the work was done on schedule and within budget. Unlike several other bathroom remodelers I contacted, these folks really know their stuff. There is good reason why Home Depot recommends these folks, they do great work [period].

Because I bought my cabinets from Home Depot they recommended US Plumbing for installation. I heard nothing for a week and then called my Home Depot rep. They then called and gave me a 5 hour timeline (1pm to 6pm)....ridiculous...then they showed up at 6:10pm...driver got lost???? I shared my experience with Home Depot and they said they are overextended. I am paying a lot of money for this installation...this better turn out better..I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'll be back to let you know how it turns out.
