I was assigned to USHAC through my home warranty company. What a mess! They have no follow up skills. I have had a leak for a week now. They've been here twice but been unable to find the leak. They showed up 3.5 hours late on Friday night, told me they couldn't find a leak and said they would come back on Monday. I finally called at 3:30 PM on Monday and was told that I wasn't on the schedule. She needed to re-submit the paperwork to American Home Shield. When I asked why it hadn't been submitted I was told that she hadn't looked at any of the follow up work from Friday. I was waiting home all day Monday for absolutely no reason. They have NO respect for their commitments to customers. Use anybody else.

They were originally contracted by AHS to look at my ducting. I had already looked at it and found that it was old and the tape holding the joints together was giving out and leaking. When the tech showed up he literally stuck his head up in the attic and said he didn't want to go up because it was too hot. Amazingly, from this limited vantage point he deducted that it was because of rodents and wasn't covered. After our air quit working we put in another call. When the tech showed up he spent all of 10 minutes working on the outside unit, but again refused to go up into the attic, apparently too hot. Of course it wasn't fixed and we literally spent an entire week in a house that was 92 degrees in the morning. Finally another tech came out (this time it was someone who wanted to do his job) and he spent almost an hour fixing the unit. I asked him to look at the duct work while he was up there and he confirmed what I had originally said, old ducting. He said they would need to come back out, understandable. I got a call this morning from them saying they could come out to my house today between 3 and 6pm. Of course I said yes. When I noticed that nobody had called me at around 5:45 pm I called them. Their response after an excruciating wait on hold was that they didn't have any record of my appointment. I had to take half a day away from my job to wait for an appointment that never existed. In my opinion these people are complete slackers. And with the exception of the one tech who actually did his job, they really come across as lazy and apathetic. The fact that I was told that they discourage their techs from going into the attic during the day says it all. In some house that's where the other half of the unit is. How can you fix something when you only look at half of it???

Excellent, thorough staff; I met with two people over three days. They called ahead to let me know they were coming with a 15-min heads up and then performed the work exactly as promised. I was referred to them by home warranty company and glad I used them over the other choice. I did find it odd that I first called an Orlando number but quickly learned that they service the state and were nearby my home in Tampa. I would use them again.

Be warned. Do not use this company. Terrible customer service. They are rude. They do not show up on time or call you back. After the first tech did not show up on time (after waiting 3 hours) I was told by the second tech that my problem was a quick fix, the parts could be purchased locally. After one week, I had not heard from them so I tried to call them back on multiple occasions to find out what the delays were. The first time I called I was told that they did not know what the hold up was and that I would be called back. After waiting two more days with no call back, I called them again and after being left on hold for 10 minutes I was told that they still didn't know what the hold up was, but I could expect to have a tech show up...3 days later. When I called to complain about the service I was told I could """"take it or leave it"""". The customer service person told me to stop 'brow beating' her and actually hung up on me while I was talking to her. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

WORST experience EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was referred by my warranty company AHS and tech came out on Monday. Stated my AC unit was frozen and would have to turn it off completely and come back the following day. That was bad, but understandable. Keep in mind it is Florida and even in March my house was OVER 80 degrees with the unit off. He came back on Tuesday and said there was a large leak, but he put some freon in it so that I wouldn't be completely without AC. But he said it wouldn't last long. I asked when he would be back and he said once the part comes in which can take 2-7 days and he had to wait for AHS to authorize it. It is now FRIDAY and the part hasn't been ordered. Yet, when I call AHS they say it is an approved charge and it will be taken care of. I call USHAC and they put me through the run around. They give me numbers that no one answers and even AHS tried to call their Tampa office to give authorization and they wouldn't answer. I have called a minimum of 15 times since Monday and here it is Friday at 4:00 and we still don't have the part ordered. I am furious with this service. Each person that I have dealt with from the Tech to the customer service reps have been polite, but NO ONE is making anything happen. I even offered to give them my own credit card to order the part and they wouldn't do it. What is wrong with this picture??????????????

U.S.H.A.C. (Tampa, FL) received our service request through AHS home warranty for plumbing service. Scott T. was extremely professional and provided the best customer service we have ever received from a plumbing company. My husband was so impressed that he insisted that I write this review (something he never does). We will most definitely employ their services again in the future, with or without AHS. Thank you Scott T. for taking such pride in your work. We appreciate you, will definitely call you in the future to address our plumbing needs and will refer your company to our neighbors without hesitation.

My water heater went out the middle of January 2014. We called in the service to American Home Shield, they sent out a tech from USHAC. Which took them a couple days to do, then they said we needed a new water heater. It took another week before it was installed. The woman on the phone was extremely rude, and blamed it on pulling the permit. Which come to find out from a very reputable person, that the permit can be pulled in a day. The new heater was installed on 1/23. We had one sort-of at of warm water, no hot. When I called an got their answering service, they informed me that no one would be able to call me back until Monday. Meanwhile, I became extremely ill, I called on Monday and was in tears, trying to get someone out to fix the problem. The woman, again very rude, said I needed to speak to AHS, first. Even though it was their problem! It is now Tuesday night 1/27. We still do not have not water, the tech came out and has to replace the entire unit, again. He said it would take another 2 days to route the paperwork through. I'm sure my state of mind, being as sick as I was, didn't help, but when I called AHS to see if they could speed it up, they made the call to UsHAC and all they got was that they had to wait until the tech called it in. I called UsHAC and asked the rude woman (same one by the way. How she keeps her job is beyond me,) if she could plead call the tech and get the information so we could get the ball rolling. Nope, that's just not how they do it! REALLY! I hope that she is never, sick with a sinus infection, bronchitis, etc and having someone tell her she just can't have what she already paid for! Just not the way they do it! God bless the rude people in the world! May they have a flat tire when they least expect it! LOL!

Tried to scam me for a new AC unit, got a second opinion it was a $60 part that needed fixed after their technician told me I needed a new $8000 until.

I will never use this business again. Our warranty company sent them out and the tech was very vague about the issue. Did not even leave any paperwork. Said he would get back to us, that was Monday. Tuesday I called and they said they were waiting on approval from our warranty company. Tuesday I had to call BACK and they said sorry, no one ever called them, so we would have to wait another day. Wednesday I called again and they said the service was denied by American Home Shield and that I needed to call them. AHS said that the tech reported """"extreme bio growth in unit that had infiltrated the electrical system and the run cap failed, all due to lack of maintenance, not the wear and tear that our insurance covers. I went out and did not see any growth, but called a GREAT company--AIRWEST--who took 5 minutes to discover a flipped breaker. He said the tech before did not know what he was doing and that the 3 bits of dried grass was first of all nowhere near the cap and that it could never have caused a problem anyways, as it is not a conductor of electricity to fail the run cap.

I purchased my home in October of 2013. When I purchased my home, the realtor provided me with a 1 year home warranty from American Home Shield. U.S.H.A.C came out the early part of April 2014. The technician advised that there was nothing wrong. We ended up calling them back again a few days later when the compressor went out. U.S.H.A.C. came out and replaced the compressor. After the compressor was replaced, it still did not seem to run 100%. We called our home warranty company and the sent a different company out. The new air conditioning company advised the problem dated back a few months ago when the compressor was changed out. He stated when a compressor is changed out, the technician should clean the lines of any garbage the old compressor kicked out, since this was not done at the time the compressor was changed, we would need to go back to the USHAC and have them fix what they did not do in the 1st place. I called USHAC on August 29th to explain the findings. They told me due to holiday they would not be able to come out until Tuesday September 2nd and would be there between the hours of 11:00 and 2:00. I made arrangements to have someone her between that time. When the company had not shown up by 2:45, I called them to check the status of the service call. The women that answered the phone advised they are running behind due to holiday and would not be there until closer to 7:00. She then called me back at 5:30 to advise that she would have to reschedule for Wednesday September 3rd. Since both my husband and I work Full time and have taken so much time off of work for this same issue, with no resolution, she agrees she would have the technician come at 4:30. I also wanted to make sure she was fully aware of why they were coming out. She explained to me that the issue that I am having is usually due to NOT changing my air filters. (Which could not be further from the truth in my house). When the technician arrived at my home on September 3rd, he agreed that the lines should have been cleaned out at the time the compressor was installed. However, in order to fix the unit, he would need to order a part and pick it up from Carrier and could return the next day to install. When my husband called to make sure we were on the schedule for Thursday, the women advised she is the one that does the scheduling and ordering of the parts and he would NOT be returning on Thursday as promised. I called the lady back on Friday Sept 5th to confirm they would be here today. The women on the other end said """"Oh.. you were one of the few people I did not call back yesterday"""". The earliest she can get me on the schedule would be Monday between 11 and 2. I explained to her that I have gone without A/C for weeks now and I have already taken countless hours off of work to sit and wait for technicians to arrive. I explained to her that this was due to an error on her company and begged her to fit us in today. I explained I could not go another weekend in a house that is 85 degrees. I asked her if they work on weekends and she said No.. However there website offers 24 hour service calls. So now I am at the mercy of this company, since it is through my home warranty company. If I had the money to pay another company I would! I wrote the above letter earlier today, however I now have part two of the story that I would like to add. When the company came out in April and replaced the compressor they billed us $285.00 to add 8 lbs of Freon. Based on the word from the USHAC technician, the broken piece is because the original technician DID NOT clean out the lines. Now the company is going to come out and replace the piece and they say they will need to drain the Freon from my unit and then charge me to put new Freon back in. The cost to complete this process will be $385.00. When I spoke to the Sr. Technician, I specifically asked him if we would need to add Freon after the repair. He specifically told me that it would not require new Freon with the repairs that needed to be completed. This gentlemen's name was Ryan and he worked for Angler Air out of Riverview, FL. I happened to be at a part and met a gentlemen that has worked for another local air conditioning company and ran the scenario past him. He also confirmed that he would be able to use the Freon that was already in the unit and it would not require any additional Freon. I really believe this is how USHAC makes their money off of the home warranty companies. They are ripping the consumer off buy changing them for items that are not really needed. In addition, the whole reason this company has to come back out is due to something they did not do at the time they installed the compressor. The USHAC technician even admitted it was because they did not flush the lines at the time they inst
