Although I wrote a positive review in May, I have changed my mind because I once again have massive plumbing problems even though I spent nearly $4,000 to have Urgent Rooter replace my main sewer line.
I am unemployed and I had to tap into my 401K in order to pay for that. So not only am I gonna be penalized by the IRS, I still cannot shower or bathe in my bathroom. For now the only drains working are my toilet and kitchen sink. Who knows when those will fail.
Urgent Rooter blames the problem on the smaller ""branch lines"" that connect to the main 4"" sewer and they will only help the situation if I pay them another $2,200 to fix the problem. They won't even try to snake the branch lines because they claimed they didn't want that liability. I guess spending $4,000 wasn't good enough.
I feel as if I am being held hostage by this company and I will not do more business with them. If anyone asks me for a plumbing company referral I will be sure to tell them about my experience with this company.
While no doubt the branch lines need replacing, Urgent Rooter is only in this for the money. I will have to bath in a bucket for the foreseeable future until I can obtain gainful employment and find someone else to fix the remaining problem for a reasonable amount.
Thanks to Urgent Rooter, I don't trust them or ANY plumber at this point.
You all suck!

OMG! cant believe I didnt read Yelp first...!
The guy walked in the door and immeadiatly said ""dude, you've got a big problem and we need to take the whole toilet off"" he didn't even try and snake it and when pressed to do so, suddenly there was a price changed. When we called the office, they backed down. He ran the snake and it stopped, touting a blockage but ""reccommeded"" that we now needed to hydrojet the pipe to the tune of about $1500.
Further more, he didn't even have a screwdiver and couldn't figure out how to take the sewer lid off.
At this stage, I said Ii didn't feel comfortable and needed to think about it and later that night called L.A. Hydojet who sent someone out. He took one look at the problem and was able to unclog it with the exact same snake in under 2 minutes!
He said it was a simple blockage.

This is my first real experience of Fraud! These people are crooks and are now trying to make me pay for services I didn't even need in the first place. Absolutely stay away from this company... they will bring you to financial ruin!!! The reason we used them is we had an emergency on a late Sunday afternoon and they were the only people that answered. They were 3 hours late coming out. Once they arrived they told us the problem was one of the toilets and it would cost 275 to remove the toilet. Then he tells me we don't have a ""clean-out"" and they will need to install one, which will now be 1200.00. The next day they show-up 4 hours late and start working. After 30 minutes he tells me everything under the house is bad and they need to replace everything. He tells us it will be 6200.00 in addition to the 1200 and they need to start working now or else we won't be able to shower or run water for a week. They never even ran a camera down to see where the blockage was! They left after only working 3 hours saying they needed to get more supplies.
The next day I finally got some sense to get a second opinion. The new plumber that was highly recommended said we already have a cleanout and wasn't sure why those people we installing a new one. He also said most our pipes we fine. He ran the camera and found the problem in 5 minutes. The problem wasn't even where the people were working. Also, he said the work Urgent Rooter had done up until this point wasn't up to code. At that point I obviously had to make Urgent Rooter stop what they were doing and leave immediately.
Most of the work the new plumber had to do was fixing Urgent Rooters work that didn't even need to be done in the first place. Even after all the work the new plumber did, it still cost less than half of what Urgent Rooter is currently trying to charge me.
I will be contacting the BBB for sure and making sure everyone knows about these guys.

One of the worst service i could have used, I call them on a Sunday due to my toilet in the master bedroom was over flowing, even when i used the other bathroom it would back up.. And my shower also started to back up, So i removed my toilet to try with a snake to clear the line. Worked but the shower started to backing up also. So i called them, there service tech came out looked at my clean out said it all looked good so he would run a snake at the shower drain to clear it out. At a cost of $149.00 So twenty minuets later said he was unable to clear the drain, BUT! the line for the toilet was cleared (which i did).. When i looked into the shower the mess he made which was far worst then it was. And he had the nerve to charge me for nothing.. I paid him with protest will never use them again and i tell anyone that reads this not too. I called a real plumber on Monday came out and fix and repaired the line and the mess they (urgent rooter) made.

II agree with the rest of the comments in here. I called Urgent Rooter on a Saturday night because my toilet was backing up. The Plumber told me from the top of his head that it was going to cost me $225 dollar to unclog my toilet. In need of his assistant because I had a party I agree. He was not successful but made it worse. Now the whole pipe was clog. The plumber kept giving prices on what other ""IDEAS"" can he do to help me and the price goes up even more. He was very discouraged but I needed his help. He ran the rooter thru the side of my house but will charge me more if the pipe became unclog. He ran the rooter with no claw attached. That didn't help! I will not recommend this company to anyone.

My sewer line was blocked with tree roots and all 80-feet of pipe from the house to the street had to be replaced. I got estimates from a few companies and while Urgent Rooter wasn't the cheapest they were the only ones who mentioned anything about getting permits through the city. After talking with Harry he agreed to honor the lowest estimate I had received. I was a little hesitant because of the reviews online, but I went with my gut feeling and I felt like I could trust this company.
Harry assured me there wouldn't be an additional cost. They started ASAP and moved fast and respectful. When they busted the concrete around my house to get to the main line going from the house to the main sewer line they noticed the piping was Orange Burge. If your house was built 1930 - 1970 you need to read about Orange Burge piping.
They suggested I replace the old paper-dipped-in-tar piping and I agreed. Urgent Rooter and Harry gave me an honest price to do the extra work. It was what it was, it wasn't like they tried to stick me with more cost but there was no way for them to know about my pipes till the broke the concrete and dug. When they saw a problem they informed me and after my research I verified their findings.
They did the all the work fast and efficiently. They put up caution tape around their work areas and kept the area clean. The entire process took four days, one of which was rained out. In all, my repairs cost me $59 a foot for trenchless piping and a new line to my main sewer line (they also had to bust ten feet of concrete included in price). That's a very fair price according to other companies and websites: http://home.costhelper.com/sewer-line.html
I'm glad I went with my gut feeling with this company.

this place should be called FRAUD ROOTER. Do not invite these people into your house. I made that mistake, by having a hair clogged drain. Instead the tech spent all his time trying to have me replace a drain pipe for $1,100. He barely attempted to snake the pipe, and convinced me that the drain had either collapsed or was permanently clogged. He charged me $65 to try to sell me a new pipe system, and left the drain clogged up.
I then contacted the REAL pro's, ROTO ROOTER, and they came out and unclogged the pipe easily in 5 minutes. The tech laughed when I told them the sales story from URGENT FRAUD ROOTER. He said there are many of these rogue companies the prey on the kindness of others. I wish we could sue them out of business. NEVER AGAIN.

Well, like so many before me, I didn't check Yelp first. I needed a main line unclogged they came out and rootered it but couldn't unclog so I was told that they had to use the jet powered rooter and the job went from 150 dollars to 1500 dollars.
My instinct told me that was just too much and I ended up giving them 1000 dollars for the job. It was unclogged but they pressed me to have the camera diagnose the full line but I said no. The workmen were polite but I should have checked it out here on Yelp. Which I will do from now on. I felt that my back was against the wall and needed to have it fixed asap. The previous reviews are totally true and I wouldn't use them again.

I have used several plumbers over the years and these people are absolutely the most dishonest I have ever met. Use them at your own peril, they will take advantage of you through their lies. They will tell you that you need work that you don't, change their prices, and pressure you again and again. This is what they do more than plumbing in fact. I can't believe companies like this are still in business.

As the previous reviewer noted (and I wish I had used Yelp before this all happened to me) do not use these people. You will be out thousands of dollars, pressured into things you don't need or want. But given that your sewer system is backed up, you'll think you've no choice and buckle. I did. What a mistake.
What I should have done was rent a hotel room (I had to do this anyway), clear my head and READ YELP, and get a decent plumber and saved myself thousands of dollars. The ""supervisor"" will flash pamphlets at you, tell you everything is going to back up unless they ""do more,"" cut you some ""deals"" and then royally screw you.
The workers themselves do a good job and really earn their living. But the ultimate goal is to make you pay. My job went from $250 to $2400 all in the space of a day and half.
The only thing that got rootered was me.
