Greedy, slimeballs DO NOT USE. Told me I needed a new boiler and they legally had to shut it down in the middle of winter and would get me a quote for new one right away. Didnt get a quote for 2 weeks later and got a second opinion from who said they were full of it and trying upsell me and that the boiler was perfectly safe to use.
Uptack Plumbing came out to my house 3 times before fixing a problem dealing with water pressure and yet could not ""find the maker of the part they needed."" From here they charged me for the plumber standing there stumbling over himself telling me that he needs to come back numerous times.
Their actions border robbery and criminal.
Poke B.This company does everything twice. Any work they perform is almost guaranteed to be removed and done again or changed because nobody communicates and knows what is actually going on. If you want your furnace replaced give them an extra 2 days because the first unit they'll bring into your house will be wrong, they will try to explain why they didn't have the correct unit to begin with and that it is the delivery companies fault. In reality they have no idea what they are doing, but will gladly take your money!!!
I had a few heating systems installed in 2018 when Lenny the founder was still with the company. Since he retired the new Managment has been unpleasant to deal with. If you don't service the equipment on their timeline they void the warranty and will refuse service, even if you are a day late. I honestly wish Lenny was still here. I would not recommend Uptack under the new Managment. Mark their sales rep takes advantage of our neighborhood and charges 30% more than other comparable jobs..
9:00 in the morning I discovered that my water heater was leaking onto the basement floor. The heater was 19 years old and I realised that it's life was over. On the recommendations from some of my neighbors, I called Uptack. By 2:00 PM that day, I had a new water heater installed and working! The price: The cost of the new unit (which I checked) and the 4 man-hours of labor to remove the old heater and install the new one was exactly what I had expected and reasonable.
They will my first call for any plumbing or HVAC problems that I might have in the future

I have been waiting for a response from this company on a job I wanted done. I did get a response to my 1st request of the job: This what I got back; ""We will get back to later"", no time frame of what the later part was. So I have emailed them asking them when the time frame was: i.e.; day, week, month, year, and/or decade. Since no response from this company I had to get another plumber to do the job. So you decide if this company is right for you.
Recommended by an A+ home inspector. Great work and service. Prompt. Reliable. Helped stop a leaky toilet after thousands of dollars of damage. I'll definitely use Uptack again. Thank you so much for saving the day!
Based on my experience of two visits these guys are excellent.
We were getting a new dishwasher, dryer (gas) & washer. Uptack was very flexible with timing and availability throughout several delivery issues.
We would use them again without hesitation.
Rob A.Timely and professional crews but overcharged for a basic annual checkup. Charging based on GPS time for however long truck is in your driveway so don't ask too many questions.
Also, a 2nd crew mis-diagnosed a problem and replaced something that wasn't broken prompting a 3rd visit to finally fix the correct issue.
I'm going out of my way NOT to recommend this company to anyone.
This company not only did not fix the problem with my water heater, but charged me $125 for only literally 30 minutes of ""work"". When their employee arrived, I discussed the exact problem that was happening and even took out the manual to show him the pattern of ""trouble shooting"" indicator lights that were on the thermostat. This pattern of lights allows for easy diagnosis as it narrows down possible problems to about 4 or 5.
The employee completely disregarded these definitive solutions to my problem and went into a spiel about water pressure and possible dust on the sensor, despite showing him what the indicator lights were displaying just prior to him arriving. Despite the fact that this guy did literally no work and was there for 30 minutes, I conceded to pay $75. However, I was blown away when he came back in and charged an additional $50 fee for ""same day emergency service"". I called Hacktack Plumbing back and spoke to the secretary who acknowledged that she forgot to tell me about this additional fee. She put me on hold to contact the owner, when she arrived back she stated that he would not wave the $50 fee. Worse part is the water heater continued to malfunction, nothing was fixed.
Since then, I hired an independent plumber to do the job. He listened, looked at the manual, followed the manual, and fixed the problem. He even went as far as stating that he did not want to discuss money until he was certain that the problem was solved. If there's one thing I hate it is thieves. This company cares more about what they will charge their customers than effectively satisfying their customer.
