I had a service appointment at 12pm for a dishwasher that was not draining properly. It was my day off and I did not live at the house at the time. I was trying to help my mom out. I got there at 11:30 and expected them soon. It came to 2pm and they were still not here. I called my mom who dealt with the business and they were backed up from a previous call. They only have one employee apparently because they could not bare another asset to assist with our issue. At approximately 245 a vehicle finally showed up. The man was nice and did what he could do. He was here for 15 minutes and decided the dishwasher needed replacement after looking at a few pipes and pressing a few buttons. I was the prompted with the payment of $146.90. Absolutely outrageous. 2.75 hours late and 15 minutes of ""work"" and I get charged $150!?? I had the plumber call his supervisor and I had a word with him about the payment. He was explaining to me why he's charging me for an hours worth of labor and 30 minutes of driving distance compensation and some BS $28 fee of existing on this planet. I then told him how being nearly 3 hours late is unacceptable and him being here for only 15 minutes is not a fair judgment of an hours worth of work to be paid. He then got extremely rude saying they don't work at ""my whim"" and have other matters to attend to first. Well if you can't be on time maybe you should let the customer know. Instead we had to call them to confirm that. I'm absolutely disgusted at this business and would never ask for their services again. Unfair and unjust. The service man himself was great. The boss however does not know how to run a good business. Be wary if you want a decent price and prompt timing plumbing company from CZ Plumbing cause you're not going to get it!

My experience with CZ plumbing was the opposite of Andrew R.'s. I showed up to my house in Maine a day early (my mistake). When I called to see where he was Chuck returned my call immediately, and made it to my house within an hour, even though I was not scheduled. This saved me the hassle of a 5 hour round-trip drive the next day, and I was very grateful.

In another instance Chuck also helped us by providing a used water heater (free of charge except for installation) in order to keep us going temporarily while we took the time to make a more careful decision about a new boiler. He could have either tried to sell us a new boiler on the spot or charged us for a repair to the old one which he knew would only be a temporary solution. We appreciated his flexibility and helpfulness.

And finally, we find that Chuck gets his work done very quickly, due to usually having his apprentice with him. Yes, they charge for both of their time, which is fair, but it still comes out at a reasonable rate compared to other plumbers and the work gets done very quickly.
