Mike is the best.
Our plumbing problem was handled the day we called quickly, professionally and expertly. The rates are affordable and the customer service was first-rate.
Krista made the appointment for us and Mike came to the house to do the repair. Both were very friendly and knowledgeable.
Mike arrived right when I was told he would and took care of two problems in short time.
I highly recommend this company and will call them with any plumbing issues I have in the future!

Choose this company for your plumbing needs only if you preferred to be ignored and treated unprofessionally.
Up2Code replaced a water heater in a home I recently purchased. Instead of routing the pressure relief valve drain to the floor or outside of the dwelling, they ran it into the drain for the washing machine. While the city of Benicia building inspector signed off on this move, if the valve ever releases, hot water will simply spatter all over the washing machine drainage hole, the wall, and a nearby electrical outlet because the end of the pipe hovers over the drain instead of running into it. Add to that, it is out of alignment and probably little of the water would actually run in
I called Mike to ask if they would rectify the problem and was promised a return call to send out a technician to evaluate. Mike never called me back. I called and left another message the following day and still did not receive a call. Decided that I would not even want this company to do the work now after all.
NOT Up2Code!

We had to have a new kitchen faucet installed. Mike gave us a price of 1 hour and with a senior discount we were expecting a charge of less than $100. seemed like a good deal - until - Joe showed up and installed. Work is perfect but he came at 10:12, finished at 11:45, but then took 20 mins or so to prepare the bill. With parts (not broken down as to type, price, etc, ) (and a 2 hour labor charge of $200) the job cost nearly $250! My only consolation was the next day why my neighbor needed plumbing assistance and I was able to steer him away from this company. I would never use again.

I have had the unfortunate opportunity to have had two separate plumbing problems in the past year, but fortunately for me Up2Code limited the damage and delivered on their word of being a competent, thorough, efficient, professional, accountable company. Both times that I have used Up2Code an employee actually personally answered the call for service (rare these days), assessed my needs, and set an appointment immediately. The first time I used them, they were running a little late that day, but were professional enough to call a half hour before the appointment to let me know they would be about 15-30 minutes late (and apologized for it), the second time I used them they were 5 minutes early for our appointment (professional accountability is HUGE in customer service, considering the 4 hour windows other companies hold you hostage with).
On both occasions the problem was assessed and corrected on the first visit, one of which was surprising because the materials were extremely old (and rare) but they had already stocked the work truck with three versions of the part they anticipated needing to be sure that they would not need to waste a trip (or my time and money) having to leave the job to get it. They also took some time assessing one of the problems I was having (sewer back-up) to see if the back-up was beyond the responsibility of me (the homeowner) to see if the City was responsible depending on the location of the back up (which would have lost them business, but saved me a lot of money).
Finally, the last thing to mention is price. Although not ""cheap,"" I did not find their pricing unfair. The service was great, work timely and quality, and the price fair. I will continue to use Up2Code plumbing (hopefully not for a while) for any future problems, and I highly recommend them to any of my friends, family, and fellow Yelper's!

I had a main water line break on a Sunday called Mike and he came right out to give me a free estimate on the replacement of my line. I contracted the work and the crew was out the next morning to start the job. Joe and Steve did a fantastic job and even arranged for the city inspector to come out to check the work. Once they completed the job they put my grass and landscape rocks back in place. Fantastic service! Toni R.

No show / no call / no nothing for warranty work.
I work a 12 hour rotating shift plus take care of my elderly mom so I can't just drop everything to meet a plumber at the drop of a hat.
My newly installed water heater has a strange resonance when it fires up so I was directed to Up 2 Code for warranty work.
I scheduled an appointment a week or two out but at the agreed to time nobody showed up, called to say they couldn't make it or returned my calls. This seems extremely unprofessional if you ask me.
I don't think I would buy anything from this guy if you can't get him to show up for warranty work. Just sayin'...

I had a high water bill for two months and was referred to up2code through a friend and they came out very quick and found that I had a slab leak in the line going to my bathroom. They gave me a very fair price and ran a new line through the attic with almost no down time. I will always call them in the future and recommend them to anyone in need of a good quality plumber!

I highly recommend this company. Its family run and operated and I try to support local businesses such as Mikes. He is honest, reasonable and does great quality work, always professional and goes above and beyond!

I had this company come out to our shop and repair a sloan urinal with a rebuild kit and also look at a toilet in the mens bathroom that was leaking water.
They came and left saying the repairs were complete. The next day the Sloan urinal valve would not shut off. They came back out and performed a rework..so ar so good. The next week the toilet began to leak again at the base. Two jobs and two reworks..not good. The plumber did seem a little green and perhaps was new to the business. I ended up calling another Benicia plumber and they came out and replaced the wax flange seal on the bottom which was the correct diagnosis to begin with. The Up2Code plumber only installed a few shims which only masked the issue.
Just too much rework for my likeing and they were not thorough in their evaluation.

This outfit is overpriced and incompetent. They charged over $1100 for a repair that took an hour plus $100 in materials. Highly recommend avoiding!
