Unreliable..does not honor schedule maintenance
appointments. I am a long time multi year customer ..and have purchased several products..however Universe has failed to keep its basic commitment to provide basic annual service. They have canceled appointments multiple times..apparently
something changed this year..

I have to say, this company seems to be going downhill. They were always known as the more expensive option, but you got quality work and responsiveness in return for that premium price. Doesn't seem to be the case anymore. I usually call over the summer to get my heating system serviced per the annual service contract (the company's preferred time for this) and within 30 days it's taken care of. Not this year. This year in July, I was just offered a late November date. Why? ""We have too many AC service calls this summer."" Again, I used to hold my nose and pay their higher prices for good service. If the good service is gone, why do I need them? I've had a long relationship with this company so I will give them 1 season to fix this. Maybe it's just growing pains (per a below review they seemed to have moved). If I have another service complaint in the next year I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Dont use them!! Or if you choose to , pay them after all the work is done and working. had an issue and they overcharged me from a service done last april and its already July trying to contest my charge and nothing was being done. Soooo overpriced!!!

They called me to do my spring service at a special of $89.00.
The man said they did the work and everything was fine. A few weeks later, my air conditioner ran but did not cool. I called the company for service and they told me they could come in two weeks. The temperature outside, at the time, was in the high 80's. I called them because I wanted my $89 back that I had paid them. I called several times asking for a manager or owner to please call me back. Nobody ever called me back. The check over service they did on my air conditioner was not done right since it failed in a few weeks and telling me that they can't give me service for two weeks, is totally unacceptable, I don't recommend this air conditioning company and do yourself a favor and call another company.

Service is terrible. Despite having 8-12 appointment window, confirming by text and being home waiting, because I didn't call them back in 1 minute after they called to say they were on their way they canceled my appointment. Called back 4 minutes later at 10:22 am which put me at end of queue with no available estimate of when they would return. After 30 minutes on phone with rep then mgr they told me ""should be today by 8pm"" Would rate a zero if I could...

Called Universe to have my central ac unit looked at as the unit ran but fan was not turning on so house was not getting cooled. Service guy came to the house for a non refundable charge of $149.00. 10 minutes later told me I needed a new unit, condenser, etc at a cost of $14,500 and went on to explain to me all the payment options. I thought that was very high and called another company. They came the next day and repaired the unit for $425.00. It is now working perfectly. So either the Universe technician was inexperienced or trying to rip me off. Either way not good and I would not recommend them to anyone! I would do no stars if that was an option.

I had such a bad experience with Universe. They failed to show up when I was scheduled and I had no heat. I waited and I even called and they said they wouldn't come get to me for 2 days. What??? I finally had them come and they came late to my appointment and inspected which came to u had to reset boiler to try to get it to work. So the guy wanted to charge me 300+ for first 9 min something crazy. Like that to call the boiler company to figure out what is wrong. I couldn't believe it. I told him to leave. This was a month or two ago. In the cold cold weather which made really uncalled for. Crazy. Had to get someone else. I only am posting cause it was such a bad experience. I saw there commercial which brought up bad thoughts. I wouldn't give them 1 star. And to top it off they did a $2000 + maintenance on the boiler the prior year. And they were late if I recall to that one too. Ugh

I rate this company zero stars. The electricians are inexperienced and charge customers excessively.

where did they go? The address on Merrick road is empty with for rent signs in the windows. the website still has the address listed. No recent sightings of their trucks which are commonly seen all over the neighborhood. Their rates are extremely high to say the least.

Needed an expansion tank and relief valve and they wanted to charge me $1541.55 way overpriced!! I will never use them again!
