Great experience with Universal. With the recent birth of our child, we've had a lot of visitors and it ended up taking a toll on the sewer line connected to our kitchen and laundry areas (not to mention a couple of missing baby socks...). Martin responded quickly, showed up on time, and fixed our issue like a pro. His pricing was fair and I would absolutely recommend him to my neighbors.

Martin responded to a call through Choice warranty. He came over and did a diagnosis which seemed fine. He said he'd submit a report but five days later I heard nothing. Not sure what was going on with him and Choice, but when I called again he's like a different person. One moment he'll say he will submit the report. Another moment he'll say choice needs to send him something first. Yet after a few turns of chatting he said let's just reassign the case. It sounded like he didn't want the job, and so I asked him what he wanted to do. Still no direct answer, again it's between ""choice needs to call me"" and ""ask them to reassign"". No initiative. No proactivity.

Not sure what's going on with your life Martin. I hope you pull it together.

We recently purchased a new dishwasher and needed it installed. I called Martin and he came by the next morning to install it. He found that the dishwasher was smaller than the space allowed. He contacted a cabinet maker to finish the job. He also replaced our outdoor hose bibs and inspected the house for leaks. It was determined that our plumbing under the house was leaking (Martin provided pictures) and needed to be completely replaced. Martin had a crew in within the next two days. Under his supervision he was able to complete the job in three days. Martin was very knowledgeable and personally attended to the details to get the job done. I felt very comfortable with him from the start of work till the day it was finished. His crew cleaned up after the job leaving the place as clean as they found it. He even bought me flowers for my birthday. I would highly recommend him for any type of plumbing work.
