On Dec 29, we had to call our regular roto-plumber for our annual sewer cleaning. They're 90-year old pipes, after all. They came, they rooted, it didn't clear, they rooted some more, and then got their snake stuck. Their solution? A new $13,000 sewer line...and they could start Monday. Oh.

Thanks to Yelp, I found and called Universal. Not only does Angel answer, but he says he can fix it, and can do it this same afternoon. I am understandably skeptical. The snake is stuck! They said I need a new sewer! Angel reassures me and says they do this all the time. He quotes me a price that isn't cheap, but way cheaper than a new sewer. If it doesn't work, he quotes me a much cheaper price. I say let's try.

They showed up on time, started up the hydro-pressure thing, and in less than an hour had freed the snake, completed the cleaning of my sewer line, checked it with the camera and had started packing up.

On a holiday weekend. On a holiday weekend afternoon with only a couple of hour's notice.

I have a new plumber.

The company provides fast service. My phone call was answered promptly and the plumbers were dispatched promptly. The only problems I have with this company is their plumbers do not do a good job of finishing their restorations. I paid over $1500 for plumbing repairs and here are the results; Sink repairs had plumbers putty highly visible and leaked at the bottom. I had another plumber to fix the problem once he noticed the leak when he installed my dishwasher. My carport and front porch looks horrible because the cement repair is roughly done. I called the company to fix the cement repair but one of their plumbers told me they only sweep the concrete. I contacted the BBB to request they make adequate repairs to the concrete. I wish I could leave pictures to show everyone.

my bathroom sink was leaking so I called Universal Plumbing because of the good reviews I saw on Yelp. The plumber that showed up at my door step arrived under the estimated arrival time. His name was Ruben. He was friendly and respectful. He even took off his shoes upon entering my house because he noticed all the other shoes outside the door. He inspected the problem and gave us his recommendations free of charge. Turned out its a problem we can fix, so we are going to try it and if it doesn't work we are definitely calling Universal Plumbing back!

My only complaint would be that he forgot to show ID. But I also forgot to ask for it :(

I called to see if they service Yorba Linda. Unfortunately they don't. I am trying to find an honest plumber . Universal Plumbing had the best reviews on Yelp. I have a sewer drain problem and the first plumber quoted me $350 for a camera inspection. Universal Plumbing told me $200-$250 is the usual price. He helped answer questions for me even though I was not going to be their customer. Thought that was worth mentioning.

Yes these men are wonderful. Our really old floor heater stopped. Ruben and his team came to the rescue. It was a job that involved lots of complexities and they systematically and intelligently worked through them all. I highly recommend this group of plumbing/ heating angels.

If you are looking for a good plumber look no further. These guys are so friendly, honest, and quick. We had a major back up with our sewer line, and the house we rent is quite old so there was no proper clean out available. Angel came over, quickly assessed the situation and offered a few options. He completed the work quickly and helped us understand what had happened. I really hope we do not have further problems but if we do this is who we'll call right away.

I called Angel today around 10:30 in the morning after we experienced an emergency at home. A pipe of some sort seemed to have burst in our upstairs bathroom (under spa tub), and had drenched our downstairs family and living room. Hot, steaming water was literally cascading from the ceiling and into the walls. What impressed me most was that Angel answered the phone directly; there was no voicemail; no service. I was talking to the man himself. Even though I was tripping over my own words (I was in shock by the whole event), he remained calm and professional at all times. He informed me that he would be able to come in about 1-2 hours. Sure enough, at around 12:30, he arrived at the house (he even called to let me know he would arrive in about 15-20 min). Angel (and his uncle) where at the house all day - from 12:30 till about 7:30pm at night, with the only time away to get needed materials. He was considerate, thoughtful, and reasonable with regard to the problem. Rather than destroying my bathroom, he found a novel way of reaching the piping, and corrected the blown valve. He was also very knowledgeable and respectful of the whole home owners insurance process I would be going through and made sure to photograph the damage.

I definitely hope we never have to encounter such an emergency again. The silver lining in all this, however, is that I have found a plumber for life. No matter what job, big or small, I can promise you that I will always be calling Angel back. He gets my whole hearted endorsement (and I can be a picky bast*rd)!
