I'm starting this by saying run & book with GEORDIS CONSTRUCTION if you're considering renovating! Back to my review.... Angel's flat rates are: Kitchen : 14,000 (doesn't include appliances, paint , tear down of old cabinets) Bathroom: 14-16,000 Car porch: 10,000 (decent..... but double check if you need a permit because he won't ) My grandfather hired Angel to help redo our kitchen because we had mold & it had to be renovated. He previously did our car porch which was nice. Angel guaranteed us that he would help with the job and make it beautiful . After Angel got the 1st check he went to Belize on vacation and we had to deal with everyone (including his son) ourselves. During the process I wanted to add a small cabinet to hide the garbage can but since Angel was in Belize I had to wait for him to come back to ask.... which ended up being after the project was complete. Also, after the project was complete the sink was leaking and I was instructed to call his brother, his brother took a week to come down because we lived """"far"""". After his vacation...Angel hired people to start on the small garbage cabinet but did not finish the countertop. It's been 4 months. It's to the point where im contacting the granite person , Javier, myself & I keep being told """"tomorrow, or next week"""". Completely frustrated I have filed several complaints, with BBB, Miami Dade county & with another construction complaint line with Florida. I offered to pay for the cabinet & I've offered to pick up supplies myself but Angel is completely not helpful. However, it seems as though Angel wants you to start another project before finishing his current one. He preys on elderly people because he advertises via newspaper only. The things he pulls with baby boomers he couldn't do with millennials (hence...ME) Please watch out for him with your loved ones. As far as the kitchen it was a sloppy job. And I couldn't even communicate with people because they all spoke Spanish & Angel was out of the country. Below the window is botched. The paint job was sloppy, the sink was leaking, we don't have a drain plug for the sink.... the list goes on. His flat rate for us was 14,000 and we paid directly to Angel Banos and not the company. That should've been the first sign of foolery. If you are in the market for a contractor I recommend Geordis construction. His wife runs/owns the business and their communication is excellent & I didn't have to call on their family. The make recommendations with your interest at heart and they love what they do. Just check their Instagram and Facebook. The ONLY reason I didn't go with them was because my grandad trusted Angel D. Banos so much. Which we will NEVER do again. Book with Geordis Construction and you won't regret a thing ! ***UPDATE*** Angel blocked our house number and my cell phone... he also stated he was looking forward to getting rid of me because I left the review on BBB.

Met with Angle """"the owner of the company"""" for a few estimates. He said, let's just start with one estimate for now, as if in some strange way he was assuming that I wouldn't be able to afford it. So if you were to draw a square around my house, I was only asking him to work on three sides. aluminum fence. aprox. 80' X 3 =240 ft. He quoted me $12, 500 for the back yard and $11,800 for the front. Not one price but two different prices, and he started getting aggrivated when I started asking questions about his pricing. It's not that I didn't hear what he said, I just had to ask again because I wanted be sure he said what he said becauseit was gouging and he knew it. he says, look, that's the price, call me if you want to do business, I think he knew he was being rediculous and felt ashamed. Word of advice, """"Mr. Owner"""" you should hire somebody else to do your estimating. Your going to loose a lot of money if you keep this up. Good riddins...... on to the next one :)

I recently had a fence installed with this company. From start to finish, Angel was a delight to do business with. Everything he stated to me (as the process began with installing my fence), went exceptionally well. I absolutely love the quality of work I was provided. I assure you; you will not have any issues when dealing with Universal Group. They truly come to please. Angel is the best in what he aims to accomplish. """"Angel, thank you for everything"""".

Angel, if you are reading this. I would like to say Thank You. Thank You for showing your TRUE colors, on how NASTY and UNPROFESSIONAL of a man you are! You did me and my family a big favor. Congratulation on receiving a 1 star review #16, well deserved you earn it! Please, do not go do business with man. Angel gets very aggravated when you ask question regarding the contract as if you don't suppose ask question regarding the contract. Angel was very rude and nasty when my family and I decided not to go through with the roofing job, base on the bad reviews that I have read from other consumers. Also I found out that his company appeared on a news station a few years ago about a woman who said that she paid a deposit for her roof that never got started. Again, please do not do business with this company. I know there is a lot of contractors that will try to rip you off, it just take some time and patients for someone to do the job and do the job right without giving you problems. Unlike Mr. Angel.

This company is rinky dinky. Stay as far away as you can from them. They will say that they will put a patio in for you and will do it without a permit and they will leave you with unfinished projects. They did it to my parents and I was able to step in and halt everything. The Angel guy is not a nice guy and he works with his nephew who is impatient and rude. Please if you can save your money or do yourself a favor, do not go through these people. You will not hear from them after they take your money. I wish I could give them ZERO stars. Do your research or you will take a loss. Shade tree contractors are everywhere, thankfully we found a great company to give my parents exactly what they want. Thank God!!! Beware because they might end up changing their company name again because that's how shade tree contractors operate. They take your money, don't do the job, and disappear. They are a terrible company do not risk it PLEASE!!!

Angel D. Banos and his crew did a great job with enclosing my parents patio (Miami Gardens). The contractors were on time and spot on with their services rendered. The recommendation for the glossy white was an awesome choice! Will use them again for future projects.

STAY AS FAR AS YOU CAN! This company consist of thieves and hustlers. My elderly mother made the mistake of giving them a check and a few hours later decided she wasnt ready to have her patio renovated. The contract stated that she had 72 hours to cancel service, to which she cancelled in less than 24 hours. Thank God I told her to call her bank and cancel the check FIRST after I read all the reviews about how shady they were, cause low and behold they still tried to cash a 2 thousand dollar check even AFTER WE CANCELLED! They didn't get away with it tho. The bank was able to stop the check! Thieves! Stay away!

I'd give it NO Star if that was available.. this company should NOT be serving customers. Takes your money & takes MONTHS for someone to show up to do the job, phone call after phone call to get them there.. Angel is very unprofessional, a Bully, screams & swears at you when he's back in a corner!! I'm an surprised this company is still in business when he WALKED OFF the job and never completed!! SAVE YOUR MONEY & TIME.. DO NOT USE!!! They are a Joke & you will second guess every contractor you hire in the future because of being burned by this dishonest company!!

This is not my first time working with this company. They also did a superb job on my screened patio porch. This time they did my driveway, walkway and hurricane shutters and again I am very satisfied! Even once a lot of things stopped because of the corona virus and the process for a permit was very slow. Angel stayed on top of it and got the job done. I especially love the stamped concrete! Great job!

The owner of this company swears his GOD! Please give me a break man! He called me back to give me pricing on a drive and has given me a whole lecture on he does his so called """" integrity job"""". He seems like your typical NOT FINISH THE JOB"""" type of individual. Even started talking crap about Cubans and Venezuelan people. Just so rude and unprofessional! I felt like my dad was calling me instead of an owner the a business. Heads up man; I suggest you hire a receptionist to better handle your calls, you definitely have no manner to deal with customers! This one is completely off of my list. WILL NOT USE NOR REFER.
