RUNNNNN Away, Yes run away from this company, I hired this company on 7/14 to remove and install a metal awning roof over my pool area. The removal went exactly as planned, I think it was the only thing that went well. when the installer of this roof installed the new roof it look really nice until the first time it rained that when the roof actually open up and all the water came pouring into the covered area. I called up and they sent the same guy out he removed and reinstalled the same roof only for it to rain and guess what it happened AGAIN! I called Gabriel once again and that's when things got interesting it took almost a year for them to come out and actually fix this piece of crap roof they have installed. Also they have this guy named angel he is the one who goes around writing the contract, this guy is a real goon when he wrote my contract he promised to install 2 additional doors for the same price funny thing was he was trying to get away w/o installing them. Many other shady thing happened which i wont get into because I'll be here all day all I'm say is if you want shoddy work done in your home, go thru a whole mess of trouble and aggravation, be taken for a fool and your money by all means i recommend you hire this company. If you want to save yourself a world of pain RUN AWAY from this crazy company

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE I strongly suggest steer away from this business. Very unprofessional, very rude and will not work to fix their own mistakes. Started a job, didn't complete and don't care to consult client for refund. Do not start business with this company or you will lose big time. Only one guy doing the job and answering his own calls. Left a senior lady hanging without any assistance after took her down payment. On top of that, never consulted city for work permit and left senior client to do it, even thought it's in the contract Angel would run the job from beginning to end take care of everything. This is not my first time working with this company. They also did a superb job on my screened patio porch. This time they did my driveway, walkway and hurricane shutters and again I am very satisfied! Even once a lot of things stopped because of the corona virus and the process for a permit was very slow. Angel stayed on top of it and got the job done. I especially love the stamped concrete! Great job!

When a company is listed on an exemplary service webpage, like Angie's list, you come to expect the workmanship of said companies to be the same. That wasn't the case for """"Universal Group Inc"""". We contracted them to install 2 wooden fences, at the front of our property, on either side. At some point during the installation, while the hole for the concrete post was being dug, the main PVC pipe to the sprinkler system was damaged. We contacted Angel immediately to advise that the concrete post (that broke the pipe) was compromised, due to the excess water build up and that the fence was falling down. He requested 2 things. Send him pictures of the damage and have someone fix the sprinkler. He assured us that he would reimburse us for the cost of the repair to the sprinkler system and send someone out to fix the fence. We are 4 weeks post repair and he's resorted to not answering our calls. Apparently we're not the only ones duped by this company. If you do a google search on """"Universal Group Inc"""", you'll find an article written about them by Channel 10. I wish I would have seen the article sooner. we would have NEVER used them!!

This company is rinky dinky. Stay as far away as you can from them. They will say that they will put a patio in for you and will do it without a permit and they will leave you with unfinished projects. They did it to my parents and I was able to step in and halt everything. The Angel guy is not a nice guy and he works with his nephew who is impatient and rude. Please if you can save your money or do yourself a favor, do not go through these people. You will not hear from them after they take your money. I wish I could give them ZERO stars. Do your research or you will take a loss. Shade tree contractors are everywhere, thankfully we found a great company to give my parents exactly what they want. Thank God!!! Beware because they might end up changing their company name again because that's how shade tree contractors operate. They take your money, don't do the job, and disappear. They are a terrible company do not risk it PLEASE!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Angel and Gabriel have no customer service skills and the workers they use are not licensed or insured under his group! Angel will take a deposit from you and his part is done! I have a fence that was not installed correctly and the swing gate is falling off. I have called Angel and Gabriel multiple times to get the fence fixed and all they would ever tell me is """"we will send someone out"""" and no one ever shows up. Now I have a broken fence. I tried calling them today which is February 15, 2017 just to find out that they blocked my phone number and my husbands number so they don't have to hear from us. Please find a quality company that will do the work properly. Angel is nothing but a sub-contractor so if you use this company you're going to get what you pay for and that is garbage work!

I want to recommend Universal Group, Inc. to anyone seeking service. All work from this company is built on integrity. They are professional and get the job done correctly and on time. After putting up my gate with Universal Group Inc, I had a repair that come up, I call Mr. Angel D. Banos to fix it. The repair was done quickly. I was really impressed. Mr. Angel D. Banos and staff are knowledgeable and easy to work with. Any future work that I need to do on my property, I will call them to do it. I would highly recommend them.

I'm starting this by saying run & book with GEORDIS CONSTRUCTION if you're considering renovating! Back to my review.... Angel's flat rates are: Kitchen : 14,000 (doesn't include appliances, paint , tear down of old cabinets) Bathroom: 14-16,000 Car porch: 10,000 (decent..... but double check if you need a permit because he won't ) My grandfather hired Angel to help redo our kitchen because we had mold & it had to be renovated. He previously did our car porch which was nice. Angel guaranteed us that he would help with the job and make it beautiful . After Angel got the 1st check he went to Belize on vacation and we had to deal with everyone (including his son) ourselves. During the process I wanted to add a small cabinet to hide the garbage can but since Angel was in Belize I had to wait for him to come back to ask.... which ended up being after the project was complete. Also, after the project was complete the sink was leaking and I was instructed to call his brother, his brother took a week to come down because we lived """"far"""". After his vacation...Angel hired people to start on the small garbage cabinet but did not finish the countertop. It's been 4 months. It's to the point where im contacting the granite person , Javier, myself & I keep being told """"tomorrow, or next week"""". Completely frustrated I have filed several complaints, with BBB, Miami Dade county & with another construction complaint line with Florida. I offered to pay for the cabinet & I've offered to pick up supplies myself but Angel is completely not helpful. However, it seems as though Angel wants you to start another project before finishing his current one. He preys on elderly people because he advertises via newspaper only. The things he pulls with baby boomers he couldn't do with millennials (hence...ME) Please watch out for him with your loved ones. As far as the kitchen it was a sloppy job. And I couldn't even communicate with people because they all spoke Spanish & Angel was out of the country. Below the window is botched. The paint job was sloppy, the sink was leaking, we don't have a drain plug for the sink.... the list goes on. His flat rate for us was 14,000 and we paid directly to Angel Banos and not the company. That should've been the first sign of foolery. If you are in the market for a contractor I recommend Geordis construction. His wife runs/owns the business and their communication is excellent & I didn't have to call on their family. The make recommendations with your interest at heart and they love what they do. Just check their Instagram and Facebook. The ONLY reason I didn't go with them was because my grandad trusted Angel D. Banos so much. Which we will NEVER do again. Book with Geordis Construction and you won't regret a thing ! ***UPDATE*** Angel blocked our house number and my cell phone... he also stated he was looking forward to getting rid of me because I left the review on BBB.

This company did work for me last year, 2017, and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. They sent out a guy named Leo Tellez. He was absolutely clueless about remodeling a bathroom. He hired someone who had some knowledge, but not enough to do the job right. They did so many things wrong. They refused to return and fix problems. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE! They send people who don't work for Universal. Leo told me that he pays Universal to use his license and send work his way. I found this out near the end of the project, after I continued to ask to see his license. He finally admitted he didn't have one. These people are so unprofessional and incompetent.
