I am rating this business with a 3 rather than a 1 or 2 based on the tech who did the work. The tech was friendly, and took the time to show how the new water heater works and some basic maintenance practices to keep it running well.
We were assigned this company by our warranty company Fidelity who is a horrible company. So I will have to believe some of the poor service was due to dealing with them. Took about a month to get our issue solved and the person who made it more frustrating was one of the receptionists. Don't recall her name. But she was non helpful, and kinda rude. Made everything harder than it needed to be. So in short the techs were very good and friendly rest of service was below average but it may be the fact there is a warranty middle man.

United Plumbing as demonstrated that they are unqualified, unreliable and dishonest. They were assigned to my home by Fidelity Home Warranty. After 3 weeks, a technician arrived without any tools or knowledge. They failed to followup or provide any assistance. The only task they completed was to take my $85 fee. Do not take the risk of allowing them into your home.

We recently discovered we had a leak somewhere in our yard (no obvious puddles or runoff but our water bill showed we were losing 500 gal/day). I called United (at the number on their website) and they took care of it. They found and fixed the leak that was in our irrigation valve. Very happy with their work- and the price seemed reasonable for the work that was done.

If I could rate them zero stars I would. Beware of this company!

We were assigned this company through our home warranty company to replace our hot water heater and they were the worst plumbing company we have ever had.

They started out ok and stated they needed to order a part. They then No-call no-showed on a Friday and I had to call them the following Monday to set up another appointment.

When they showed up, they then determined we would need a new hot water heater and they would be back in a couple of days because they had to order one.

When they returned with the hot water heater, they lied to us and stated they had obtained the required approval from the warranty company when they had not.

I had to obtain approval for the new hot water heater and then later learned they had over charged our warranty company, lying to them that there were code violations and they had to make several updates to our plumbing.

When I asked them for a copy of the work invoice they sent to our home warranty company they refused to provide it.

They provided me with a more factual copy, but overcharged us and asked us for additional monies, which we paid due to not having hot water for a week.

After being confronted on the amounts charged, they refunded half of the money we paid them, but between our payment and the Home Warranty company, they were paid around 3k for a simple hot water heater installation that they failed to do correctly.

They never filed for a permit from the city, until I asked them for a copy of it, and they never requested an inspection.

I requested an inspection and the City could not conduct their inspection until a monometer reading was taken. After multiple requests for this reading which they ignored, I had to hire another plumber for the monometer reading.

We paid for this out of pocket and then scheduled the inspector when they failed to do so.

The City Inspector found multiple violations including the fact that the new tank was not level, the piping was not clearing the tank and they reused the old insulation and other parts.

The Home Warranty company had to hire another plumber to correct their work and also to install a new recirculating pump, which they had failed to notice was leaking.

This company is untrustworthy and their work is shoddy. We were forced to file a complaint with The State Contractor's Board, due to their failures.

I would caution anyone who needs plumbing to go somewhere else!

My water heater went out at the worst possible time. I was in bed sick and had a house full of kids... I tried calling some big franchised stores and got quotes up to $6,000 ! A friend told me to call United Plumbing and immediately I could hear the difference in their willingness to help. Nick had my best interest and my wallet in mind. BEST service and pricing in town. They saved me about $4,000!!!! I couldn't believe how easy it was to work with these guys. And no waiting around all day for the technician to show up... he was right on time, efficient and thorough. I am now a lifetime loyal customer to United Plumbing after this one experience. Don't waste your time shopping around these guys are LEGIT!!! Thanks Damien and Nick!

Called them Friday evening for a leak. They instructed me on how to turn the water off. Came out Saturday morning and made a repair. Very reasonable price! United Plumbing was reasonable and friendly. Highly recommend.
